We're not ready for the season and it clearly showed. Brighton defended very deep & well and when your front 3 (wide players + Bruno) all play like shit you haven't got so any hope to win games against a well coached team like Brighton.

We need much more quality but not only that; we keep playing the liabilities and expect a different outcome. Who can say I'm shocked that Maguire played Wellbeck onside? Or Bruno wasted so many balls & chances? Or Shaw allowed the ooposition RW to shoot? Please drop the likes of Maguire, Bruno, Shaw, McTominay and sign some quality players.

Worst performance I’ve seen from Mctominay

Eriksen much better playing deep, shows why De Jong would be so important for us.

Martinez was good.

Maguire and Rashford marginally better than last season…marginally.

Awful performance as a team

Is anyone surprised? Did anyone expect differently?

Not annoyed at the manager, who walked into a mess. Or the players, who are either new or unable to replace themselves. And tbf they at least improved in the second half.

Extremely annoyed that we're going into this season with a worse squad than we we had entering last season. Because this is the sort of result that gets you.

Even if our recruitment had been spot on, top four was going to be a struggle. And thus far it has been very fecking far from spot on. New summer, same failures.

Fully expect more performances and results like this ahead, because we've earned them. This fecking club.

Same shit, different season.

Huffed and puffed second half but second best for the entire game

Not one player even the newbies come out with any credit

You've just got to pay over the odds in the transfer market now to get in at least 2-3 more players.

I think its criminal that we still have McFred in midfield for the 3rd or 4th year in a row now.

Its absolutely shambolic that this midfield duo is still at the club, let alone startin games.

Also, Rashford is dreaming again. How many sitters missed? Literally we could have won the game even though we were dogshite.

But he actually fails to score with nobody around him. Shot it at the keeper ffs.

Where is his head at? fecking lost it with all his non football bullshit. Needs to shut all that shit down and focus on his career, because its about to go down the toilet.

McFred and Dalot can't be anywhere near the starting XI

Looking decent in preseason, first Game home defeat. Shades of van Gaal.

Our midfield is so bad, we need to bid for Schone now. Should be available quite cheaply, has played for ETH, will be good.

Some shockingly bad performances out there today.

Midfield may has well have stayed at home with what they offered today.

2 clear goal scoring chances missed, midfield making huge errors and leaving us wide open again.

Changes in the 2nd half made us much better, hopefully ETH learns from this.
