How ETH went from having a tactical masterclass against Liverpool one week and getting outclassed by Brenford in another is beyond me.
Good god, I don't even want to watch the highlights now.Other than that, not too bad.
- Brentford (85) became just the third side on record (since 2008-09) to have 80+ touches in the oppositions box in a Premier League game after Man City vs Southampton in November 2019 and Man City vs Norwich in July 2020 (87 in both matches).
- Brentford had 31 shots in this game (scoring with their 31st and final attempt), their highest total in a Premier League match, while on record (since 2003-04) there are only three instances of Man Utd facing more shots in a single Premier League match.
- Brentford hit the woodwork four times this evening with only Brighton (5) vs Man Utd in September 2020 doing so more in a Premier League game on record.
We had most possession, although I think that was mainly down to how many goal kicks Onana had to take.

If its any consolation - they weren't wearing out shirt but some disgusting NUFC lookalike. Horrible shirt. Horrible players. Horrible game.the majority of the players we have today are not worthy of wearing our shirt, and most never will be. CRAP!
ThisI felt embarrassed when we got the late winner. I felt pissed off when we conceded immediately after it.
This team is shit, let’s just face it.
I’d like to hold on to Manoo and Garnacho, but the rest could leave this summer and I couldn’t care less. Rashford and ETH should not be allowed to finish the season, sack the fraud and put the overpaid cnut in the reserves for the rest of the season and ship him to PSG or QPR in the summer.
Brentford are 16th and we got outplayed for 90 minutes and the dutch fraud had no answers, I’m sick of this shit!
Jesus! So apt! We are an awful awful teamWhilst in possession, stroke the ball around on the halfway line. Make sure no one makes any runs, and if they do, punish them by not passing to them. When this doesn’t work, try little give and gos in the most packed area of the pitch, or better still just dribble straight into the defenders. If you still haven’t scored after 10 minutes, give up all hope and leave it to last ditch defending and the woodwork to save you.
“Ok boss.”
Thanks for thatThis match is a great example of why I don't watch football anymore
That and the fact the rights keep getting sold to pathetic low quality streaming services here in Canada
I was watching a stream and someone commented "imagine paying to watch this?"
Glad I didn't
I'll not be watching rest of the season, free or otherwise, absolute waste of time!
I’d throw a crispy 50 pound note on Brighton to win handicap -1. Easy moneyIt's pissing me off that Brentford will go on and have a bang average game against Brighton on wednesday.
I can understand their point,we deserved absolutely nothing out of this and nearly got a win
I have no idea who could/would replace him…and I have generally been supportive of ETH. Last night was my tipping point. It’s performances like this which is why I’m losing faith in ETH. We got absolutely dominated by a team near the relegation zone & we would have had no complaints whatsoever if the result finished in the same scoreline as it did last season down at that place.
I keep saying about there is no physicality in this side. We get bullied by every team we play. We are mentally weak as well. We don't have one hard man in this side, I don't mean someone who whinges, I mean scare the s**t out of the opposition, that you would think twice going up against them.
Simple tactic to score vrs United ... lump the ball in to the penalty area and fight for the second ball and you will normally get given a opportunity to score.
Our whole defence is shocking, AWB just strolling out and leaving Toney onside, he's done it a few times this season.
ETH looked a broken man in the interviews after the game, these players must drive him mad, how on earth can you put in such a insipid performance after the Liverpool game is beyond me.
It really needs to be a busy summer.

Trouble is was it a tactical masterclass or just desperation. Throw people on and hope it works. How ETH went from having a tactical masterclass against Liverpool one week and getting outclassed by Brenford in another is beyond me.

Yet we had double the xG?There was no tactical masterclass against Liverpool. There was a ton of heart but Liverpool messed up a ridiculous amount of 4 on 2, 5 on 3 breaks and really should have put the game to bed long before Utd got some energy and momentum going. Ending up outlasting them in a chaotic match but I don't see anything tactical to build on from that game.
I don't think xG is relevant in regard to Liverpool messing up counters when they had the numerical advantage. If a chance isn't created then xG isn't involved (?) but you would say Liverpool certainly SHOULD have created some good chances out of those opportunitiesYet we had double the xG?
