United dont have any men in their team. They are all little boys that get bullied off the park. They moan and complain when things arent going their way. Get petulant and frustrated because they are entitled. I honestly would drop the lot of them for the last few games. Let the actual kids play.

We were playing quite well until the missed penalty, I do believe that had Bruno put the penalty away then we would have won. There was urgency and some pride until then, but as soon as it was missed……we fell apart as we have done all season. I have to ask why this effort was not applied before, and we definitely should have had a penalty for the Elanga tackle if theirs was anything to go by. They were there for the taking and we blew it……again, we did not deserve to be in the champions league. And some of these players need to take a longboard look at themselves, CR7 must have been hurting like you wouldn’t believe inside, but he turned up and put a shift in, he genuinely loves the club and it’s fans, unlike the mercenaries that we currently employ………good riddance I say.

This.
Getting relegated in 1974 enabled Tommy Docherty to carry out a rebuild of fielding hungry young players, to replace an aging team who got relegated. They were able to develop in Division 2, without the immediate pressure of fighting to stay in Division 1. That breathing space enabled the team to win Division 2 easily, then finish 3rd in Division 1 and reach the FA Cup Final, in their first season back.
Thats exactly what we need next season, breathing space.

I didn't even watch the match today, such is the disconnection I feel from the club at the moment. I said on the match thread a few days ago that these players wouldn't get anything at The Emirates because they don't care. If they don't even care when earning millions, why should we? The whole club is rotten from the top down. God help Ten Hag in trying to sort it all out.

Just to put into perspective how much these guys have downed tools, In two seasons they have gone from going unbeaten away from home to having the worse utd away record on 40 odd years.... if that is not a sign that the dressing room is rotten..... What is??
It’s a sign that they’re conning the fans and the management. They’re perfectly capable of putting the effort in and playing to a good level - when they feel like it.

Decent until the penalty miss. Lack of confidence and belief following the miss. This season is a write off.

Missed the game as I was visiting my grandmother. Just watching MOTD, some absolutely horrific decisions.

Think we were by far the better team which shows just how poor Arsenal are. Context matters next season but if arsenal and Spurs remain this poor, Ten Hag should walk top four. It’s shocking quality.

Just want to add I absolutely can’t stand Arsenal and their fans. Worst in world football for me. More delusional than Liverpool fans and with very little class, a truly horrible club.

Let's hope Eric stays clear of the doctor's wife.

Having watched the highlights again, we weren’t a complete disaster like we were against Liverpool, we attacked well, missed a penalty, hit the bar and the post. The result is a disaster however, and that’s the thing that matters.

Referee and VAR were awful, and our fullbacks in particular were terrible, but I am reasonably optimistic we will get a draw against Chelsea is we play like that.

Still annoyed by yesterday's officiating.

Yeah, yeah, we are rubbish, but so are Arsenal and Tottenham. Had we won the game, we would again be in the mix.

Hopefully we can clear the house easier without the added pressure of european competition for next season.

I don't know why everyone is so keen to avoid the Europa Conference League - we finally have a European competition that is at our level.

To be honest if we'd have played like we did yesterday in more games this season we'd have been in a much better place, but yeah we still ended up losing 3-1 to an average Arsenal side because we were crap in both boxes.

Take away Ronaldo, i can't stand any of them, borderline hate every single one of them charlatans.
I agree, except De Gea has also been perfect all season. And yet some have the nerve to blame Ronaldo for this disaster.

Only De Gea and Ronaldo can claim they gave their best this season. I hate to say it, but even Bruno, the hero of Ole'a time here, has been mostly shit this season

I watched this on Sunday. We should have won that, and with a little luck going our way (Dalot scoring instead of hitting the frame , Bruno scores his penalty, Ronaldo deemed onside) we would be looking at a deserved win. We weren’t that bad. Small margins went against us. We looked better without Maguire and with McTominay.

I was at the game, and at that end, but it was only when I saw the replay of that first goal I realised how shocking the defending was.

Both centre backs either missed their kick or got tiny contact on it, and then the full back nowhere near their man tapping in.
Horrible.

I still don't understand how Nuno Taveras wasn't sent off for grabbing Elanga's shoulders in the first half. Isn't that a penalty and a red for stopping a clear goal-scoring opportunity? Am I wrong that if that happens anywhere else on the pitch and a defender grabs the attackers shoulders as he is sprinting away, isn't it a clear yellow that everyone accepts? You grabbed them to stop a counter? Everyone nods and accepts its a yellow.

But he grabs his shoulders in the box and clearly throws him off? Nothing? Can someone explain it?

I would definitely keep those two. Both can be coached back to form. Both will thrive once there is a decent CM.
I would happily ship them off of play them in the reserves if money was no option. But due to the high cost paid for them, and continuing to be paid, which logically must have an impact on the funds available for new players, I think we have no choice but to keep them and hope they pull their fingers out.

I think its psychological as much as anything. Get them feeling warm and fuzzy and applying themselves to the best of their ability and we will see massive improvement. They probably will never be the world class, Vidic and Evra-reboots that we would love to see, but they can be so much better. Good luck to ETH.

I look at the teams both sides used to put out during the peak of the rivalry and it makes me depressed for all of us.

We had the pleasure of watching players like - Henry, RVN, Bergkamp, Scholes, Vieira, Keane, Pires, Giggs, Campbell, Rio, Cole, Gilberto, Neville x2, Ljungberg, Seaman, Mad Jens, Stam, Keown, Kolo Toure, Lauren, Vidic, Evra, RVP, Rooney, Ronaldo, Fabgregas, etc, etc.

And now days we get to watch the likes of - Tavares, Soares, Telles, AWB, Dalot, Lingaard, Maguire, Lindelof, Nketiah, midfield parterships of El-farqing-Neny and Xhaka up against Fred, McTominay and the corpses of Matic and Mata.

It's laughable how far off these sides are to our peak era sides.

The best bit is explaining how they came to that decision after reviewing video replays.

No we weren’t as much of a disaster as against Liv but I think that’s mostly because Liv are miles better than Arse.

Agree with lots of this

I agree, we have nothing to lose now, put the kids in and maybe we'll see some effort, some desire, some comittment and some wins!
