Can't believe the outrage... Thought we played quite well and let's be honest with ourselves WBA this season are a completely different outfit from what we have seen in previous years...
We could have easily won the game but these things happen in football. I think Jones needs to temper his constant urge(intelligence) to get involved.. Adnan had a good game, he was responsible in large parts for getting the ball into the final third and I liked what I saw. If only RVP had a better playing style instead of depending on defenders to lose concentration we could have easily won, maybe he wasn't the right striker for this game...

And poor decision making. No need to step forward for their 2nd goal, he got caught out and we conceded.

Don't worry, no one is gonna blame him.. He was the only at fault in that goal but hey Rafael was not close enough to cover his lunacy..... He had no business stepping forward when was already on a man, his main job at that point was to maintain our defensive shape and wait for support..

I think people will appreciate Wayne's effort now.
I agree the team missed him tremendously. He is exactly what we needed because mata had a mare of a game, I love mata but we were in need of someone taking the game by the scruff of the neck. Can't just leave everything to Di Maria! RVP is not having the greatest season either, Januzaj was slow as hell. Poor Blind was trying his best but also had a bit of a nightmare marking sessignon. The one massive positive for me was Fellainis goal and to be fair when he came on he was causing some problems. This team is definitely a work in progress

Some of our football was good last night and its freshing to see us trying to press teams - even if its clear we've not quite got it yet. We went away from home and carved out numerous opportunities to score.

That said, a return of 12 points from 8 games is nowhere near good enough. That stat is compounded further when you analyse the teams we have played. Van Persie needs to sit his back side on the bench for a period of time - he is woefully out of form. Unfortunately, i have a feeling he is untouchable when it comes to our manager. Mata - had a big opportunity with Rooney's suspension...he's failed badly. Disappointed LVG didnt make some stronger decisions last night as that game was there for the taking.

We will be fine.

Van Persie played like shit. But he isn't past it I think, just needs either a break or to form a partnership with Falcao.
Januzaj played awful, but he hasn't had a lot of football and he is still young so inconsistency is natural.
Mata was terrible. A lot of players had off nights, even Di Maria wasn't at his best and Herrera looked like he hadn't had much training time.

What worried me the most was our defensive positioning and decision making. I don't think we have TERRIBLE defenders, they can defend decently enough and in some cases quite well. But Shaw pushes up far too often to try to win the ball. I was thinking about starting a thread just before their goal asking if this is normal (because I am not the best with tactics and positional play). So often I saw him abandoning his position, surely you don't follow someone that high up the pitch? The Jones mistake was also a massive brainfart, but he seemed OKAY the rest of the night. Obviously, "OKAY" is probably not what Manchester United need, but I feel as though it is more to do with them gelling together and getting more and more games than just actually not having any quality. Also, the lack of a leader back there is an issue. Maybe if De Gea were captain it might change things? Possibly just a silly thought which won't happen anyway.
