Who would you sell or retire at the end of the season?

Is this another thread where we get to slate our players again? Boring... pointless poll. Sorry OP...

From the two threads, I'd get rid of the following:
Evra - Him staying around may well stop us strengthening in that position, but if he was to stay as backup, then I'd be happy to keep him.
Rio - I think his time is now up, but he should stay as a coach.
Giggs - Time to be a coach.
Vidic - Already off.
Nani - I think he'd be better off elsewhere, I can't see him ever being the player we'd hope he'd be.
Young - He'll end up sticking around, but I'd personally move away from wingers. I guess he'd still be useful, but I'd rather see someone else instead. If he stays he'll be the new Nani, moments of greatness, and a lot of meh.
Macheda - Needs to go but no-one wants him.
Bebe - Will end up in Portugal somewhere.
Anderson - Hopefully someone wants him, I could see him going to Portugal or Brazil.

So that leaves us with the following:
Goalkeepers
De Gea - Bordering on world class, young, and only getting better. Dream player to have in this position. Looks like he loves it here.
Lindegaard - Good goalkeeper, looks happy to just be around, does a job when he needs to. Looks to love the club too. I can't see us having a better number 2.
Amos - I personally think he's alright, but never really had a big shot, and probably never will. But we need a third keeper on our books and I'd happy if he stayed here.
Johnstone - As above, really - will probably end up loaned out again, or taking over Amos' role.

Nothing needs to change here, we have the perfect set of goalkeepers.

Defenders
Rafael - I rate him very highly, good going forward but under appreciated at the back. Still rash sometimes and still learning and improving.
Jones - I think he has a bright future, his biggest problem is cementing a place in the team. I'd love to see him as a defensive midfielder and becoming a rock, but I think we'd be looking at strengthening the midfield and not the defence so I think we'll see him more in defence.
Evans - Good player, great potential. Can certainly do the job but I'd be interested to see how the defence would tick over without any natural leader around.
Smalling - As above.
Buttner - Marmite. You either love him or hate him. Looks suspect at the back at times, good going forward. Gives his all.
Varela - Can't really comment, only just arrived and young.
Janko - Can't really comment, only just arrived and young.

We're sorted at right back. I rate Rafael highly and we have young options in Varela and Janko, as well as the ability for our other defenders or even Valencia to act as emergency cover.
We desperately need a left back though, and maybe even another defender that is capable to cover there if need be, although a good left back will suffice.
We desperately need a defender also all our defensive options are quite injury prone and being young we don't have many up and coming defenders that can do the job at this level - they ARE the up and coming defenders.

Midfielders
Fletcher - Good option to have, unlucky with is illness but has looked to recover. (Was the scapegoat before Carrick).
Carrick - Has been our only decent midfield option, but we still mention we need to strengthen this position, has been a scapegoat in the past.
Fellaini - I believe he does have a use, but I don't think he is worth the pricetag. He needs to stop fouling but take more control. Is now the scapegoat.
Cleverley - I think he is a good footballer but needs to be playing a passing game and needs to be given a bit more freedom or work in a midfield 3. Was the scapegoat before Fellaini.
Valencia - Was so, so good a couple of years ago. Shows a bit of regained form but looks to be lacking confidence at times. Always a trier.
Zaha - Young and lit up preseason. A lot has been said in the media both personal and about his lack or desire in training etc. We'll see what happens with him.
Powell - Looks to have his head down and one for the future, although with the talent occupying where he wants to play it looks like he might be loaned out again.
Januzai - The ray of sunshine this season. Still very young and makes mistakes, looked tired as of late and Moyes has handled him fantastically. One for the future, and currently is better than most of our options as it is.
Kagawa - Not been suited to our style of play, but when played in the correct position has shown what he is capable of. I'm not sure he is happy here, but I'd love to be playing the way that makes him shine. He looks a bit suspect when having to go backwards and sometimes is completely invisible.
Mata - Slow starter but has been on form recently, but fitting these players in the same team or playing the way that, I think he'll gave a good future if used correctly.
Pereira - A good young option that is starting to come through, but with the players around him, will he be able to get a game?

The most controversial group of players, especially with the way we utilize them.
Defensive midfielders - Fletcher and Carrick are the defensive type players, although you could add Fellaini to that group too. We'd like someone who can boss the midfield and stop the opposition and protect our defenders as well as the ability to pass well and make something happen. These players are rare though, we'd been using Carrick and Fletcher have been our defensive/central midfielder options and with usually a weak player next to them a lot of people see this as the position that needs to be strengthened. Fellaini was meant to be our bossman in midfield but it hasn't quite worked yet. Cleverley is our other central option but I think he is suited to short passing and we've seen some glimpses of this in the past linking up well with players especially like Welbeck - but with the current stock of forward players there isn't room for him there and has become a scapegoat.

Wingers - Our wingers have been off form and from the above list we'd only have Valencia and Zaha as the natural wingers, but we tend to play Kagawa, Januzai, Mata, Welbeck or Rooney on the wing in order to accommodate other players. If we are going to go the traditional winger route then we need to get in another proper winger or ditch the winger approach.

Attacking Midfielders - We are well stocked here. Kagawa, Mata, Januzai, usually Rooney and add in Powell as the younger option. The issue is fitting them all in to the team and keeping them happy.

Strikers
RVP - Sensational at times. Rumors have been flying though and he's been off form for periods of the season. Will a partnership of him and Rooney ever work.
Rooney - Great at times, world class at times. Gives his all. Questions have been asked about his loyalty but he looks to be staying here now. I'm not sure how we fit all of these players in and get the best out of them.
Hernandez - Great little player, not really had a chance to shine this season, but I hope he sticks around and gets another chance to repeat his first season with us. Very likable.
Welbeck - Great player also. Although comical at times when he seems to just fall over at the final hurdle. I think he has another role with us tactically we have seen a couple of times being all over a player and nullifying them. He is hopefully the future and will continue to improve. I feel he'd also suit a more central passing game than how we currently play.
Henriquez - Not really seen much of him, but is one for the future.
Wilson - Looks very good from what I have seen. We should see him starting to get a bit of game time now Rooney/RVP are potentially out. One for the future.
Keane - Has been unlucky with some injuries, but one for the future.

We are well stacked here but fitting the players in along with the attacking midfielders is the current headache.

I think this squad, adding in the players that I'd get rid off is suited to someone who can get the best out of players and rotate them well. A squad suited to the predecessor, who used them so well. Now we have a different manager, I think we need a better 11 due to less rotation and I think some of the fringe players will need to be replaced with younger players who are hopefully happy with a bit less game time and can shine through when they get chosen. I also think our style of play needs to change to something more 'continental' passing and through the middle but keeping the desire, attacking and counter attacking that United have. But with a traditional manager I'm not sure that'll happen.

In any case, those are my thoughts on our current squad. I think we need a left back, central defender a central midfielder and a change to our style of play, but I wouldn't be surprised to also see a central midfielder and attacker also leave as a result of that.

Seeing as these fecking players aren't even trying I'd get rid of most of them.

But seriously, I could see leaving:

Ferdinand
Vidic
Giggs
Carrick
Nani
Evra
Kagawa
Hernandez
Bebe
Macheda

Should leave but won't:

Young
Fellaini

Won't be completely against leaving but won't leave:

Fletcher (could do with first team football towards the end of his career)
Valencia

Caf pretty much agrees so far. Little less tendency to lose Evra and Cleverley.

Sell Rooney

Sack Moyes, Valencia and Young
