Tick all the first team players who you would look to offload or retire at the end of the season.

The poll does not allow for the full squad so a further poll can be viewed here

I've voted, will wait for part B now, but as a comment, some of your 'options' are already confirmed such as Evra & Vidic, so they should be removed.

I thought it safe to include the entire squad in case of any changes of minds/ decisions/ legal issues/ retirements which don't happen :)

Fair enough mate, it's not a bad idea actually, looking forward to the 'who are you're additions a & b' as it'd be nice to see the collective result and get a real idea on who people would ideally/practically want.

Moyes, Fellaini and Valencia are missing...

Vidic is a goner anyway, no need to include him.

I voted Ferdinand, Vidic and Young:

Vidic is already gone
Rio has played well in a few games, but the time seems to be up here
Young needs to move on for all our sakes.

Evra I left as we don't yet know what that position will look like next season, but I expect him to go. I'm of the opinion that Giggs can stay as long as he wants because he justifies having one of the 25 squad places every year, certainly more than some squad players who are meant to be in their prime. Nani I still have hope for, for some reason. Hernandez and Kagawa might leave, but I don't want them to.

Where the feck is Valencia?

How do you retire someone without their agreement?

I hope your not insinuating that they'd be manipulated into it...

In the other thread linked in the OP.

Thank god for that.

Ferdinand, Vidic, Young, Cleverley, Valencia, Macheda, Fellaini, Bebe and Anderson. 9 Out, best part of 700k a week saved in wages.

In:

Two CM's, One Winger, A Centre back, a right back and a left back.

Vidic, Evra are sure to leave so it's void.

I don't think we need Young, Fellaini, Macheda, Buttner, Bebe, Anderson and Valencia unfortunately(however I'm inclined to keep him he's useful still for some games).

Ferdinand and Giggs I'd keep for another season if they want to continue.

Retire - Rio, Giggs (with a heavy heart)
Leave - Evra (only if we get an experienced LB), Macheda
Sell - Amos, Bebe, Nani, Anderson, Young, Buttner (if we get Shaw and Evra leaves)

Hernandez and Kagawa will depend on which players we purchase and the Van Persie situation.

What would be the point in selling Bebe? He is doing well in Portugal and only getting better. Unless his contract is due to run out sending him out on loan again to a top Portuguese club will only rise his value. Sure there are talks of him even grabbing a spot in the the NT.

Retire - Only Rio as I feel Giggs still has games left in him (Olympiacos at home for example)
Sell - Cleverly, Evra, Vidic, Young, RVP

Even though he has worked hard this season Ashley Young is simply not good enough for Manchester United similarly I would extend the same view to Fellaini and Cleverley who both look hideously out of thier depth.

If Moyes sold any one of those I would be seriously impressed. He needs to stop being precious with players who have had a full season and have consistently under performed.

Giggs will forever be one of my favourite players and it annoys me we may see the back of him in the summer. But his legs are past it, he has to end his career graciously with the right send off. Struggling against Bayern was painful to watch.

Evra was lagging last season and seemed to get a second wind leading up to the title but he has steeply declined since. This season Buttner is putting in better performances.

Sell - Cleverly, Evra, Vidic, Young, RVP

Out of that sell list, Vida is leaving on a free. Evra might as well. Cleverley will hardly fetch 7-8 million and Young is on such high wages that we will hardly get anything from a club who will want to accomodate his wages. That leaves RvP who is himself on high wages and will be 30.

We will be getting peanuts while having to replace all of them, 2 of whom have been integral to our success over the past decade while another is almost unanimously agreed to be the main reason behind our title win last season. We will have to spend a fortune just to replace their impact, let alone improving on what we already have.

Voted for Vidic, Rio, Young, Cleverley, RVP in this one and then Macheda, Fellaini, Bebe and Anderson for the other one.

Would love to keep Evra here to rotate with Shaw or whoever comes in next season but I doubt that'll happen. Vidic and Rio are too old/past it and Vidic already gone anyways. Young is crap. Cleverley isn't very good either and lacking a lot mentally to handle the pressure at United, comes across as a bit of a pussy really so he should go to a midtable team where he'll get first team football without the constant pressure. Macheda is obviously nowhere near United level, same with Bebe, Anderson is basically gone and doesn't have a future here. Fellaini was the completely wrong player to go for from the start, Carrick and Fletcher are both better as being the squad players for the defensive midfielder then he is, and add in Carvalho coming in along with a more creative midfielder, Fellaini just doesn't have space in the squad.

RVP I love but we can't have both Rooney and him in the team. It just doesn't work, as then Rooney would need to play deeper/out wide and we'd just be better off playing people there who are more suited to those positions as we have some genuine world class players there. Rooney isn't going anywhere, is younger and as a striker is arguably as good as Van Persie, along with being on his way to become a club legend and all time top scorer, so RVP is the one who needs to leave, sadly. If one of them are content to sit on the bench and rotate with each other then fine. That's not the case though.

Im a bit nervous about trying to do too much too quickly with the rebuild so I went with quite a modest five players: Vidic, Rio, Giggs, Cleverley and Young.

The first three are self explanatory and probably inevitable. Evra is probably inevitable too but I would keep him for one more season if he was willing to stay, just so we can focus our efforts on the midfield and a couple of new CBs.

Cleverley will (or should) struggle to get a game with us next season if reinforcements arrive in that position, I think it would be better all round if he continued his career elsewhere where he can play more. I think the Young bashing can be a bit OTT on here at times but if the improvements we have seen in recent weeks are indicative of how we will play next season then he should be surplus to requirements.

Rio and Giggs to retire. I would keep Evra if we can

I'd then look at move on Vidic, Macheda as well and if possible and then potentially fletcher.

though it really depends on which players are coming in.

Is it necessary to have a poll for every little thing? All they do is stifle proper discussions.
