He did not train today, well not in the live training session on MUTV. Bailly, jones , herrera, rashford all did. So apart from pogba and fellaini, everyone else seems to be there. Maybe we see him against benfica on the bench and then start vs chelsea.

That's I'm expecting. Since he didn't train today it's almost impossible for him to play directly against Spurs, although he might be on the bench in case we're chasing the game ( hope not ).

He'll start at the Bridge.

What's stopping him joining training after the cameras have left? Aren't they only there for the first portion of training?

Don’t get your hopes up, it’s not Mourinho’s style at all. If he was ready to play he’d have been training with the team getting up to speed and going over tactics. There’s more benefit to that than surprising Spurs.

Its not like spurs wont know how to handle him, yes he is a different animal to Herrera but its not like he can win the game on his own. Maybe he has been there the whole week and now he was rested for this session but the most logical judgement would be he wont play against spurs or at most will be on the bench in case we need him to be risked.
Our record at the bridge is horrible and that chelsea team is giving 120% against mourinho so maybe he will keep pogba for that game.

He really is an absurd player. It's depressing that we've not been able to watch him these last few weeks. Aside from results he brings entertainment and is a huge part of the reason I look forward to watching us play.

A half fit Pogba standing there has more creativity than the current midfield. I suppose it's a risk assessment, he could easily come in fitness wise but would you risk agitating the injury? Chelsea next week and one more week of rest could ensure he doesn't get a setback.

Would Jose and Pogba honestly go through the ruse of keeping Pogba behind the camera and then spring a surprise on Spurs?
I mean Pogba is not match fit, having missed the last 4-5 weeks, so he is unlikely to be rusty, so it would make no sense to play him.
I think the CFC vs MUFC game is the one he'll be targeting.

Our midfield has been devoid of any creativity since he left. Can't wait for him to get back

Ahh Jesse Lingard on Snapchat trumping any inside sources :lol:

Anyway glad to see Pogba back in Manchester at least. Wouldnt be surprised to see him starting sooner than anticipated either, we all thought he would need more time to bed in after signing originally and he started against Southampton with no preseason.

But then again wouldnt surprise me if he isnt risked either.

Too true. I love watching him play. Particularly when he holds the ball up and shields it, and holds off the opposition like they are children. We just don't have anyone who can look after the ball like that, whilst totally bossing the opposition

Our results have been reasonable barring Huddersfield but we're it much fun to watch without him. The team looks to be built around him.

Just thinking back to when I used to watch him in the youth teams when he was all limbs. Gangly little due with no muscle and now he is builtnlike a tank. Just easily holding people off whilst doing skills. We do need him ASAP. Saw him doing some sprints on insta so he can’t be far away.

We've somehow managed to get results all but twice without him but the downward slope has started. Will be a massive boost with him and the rest of the injuries coming back at once. He better not be called into the France squad.

A ideal situation would be beating Spurs without needing Pogba at all (not even on the bench), so he has more time to train and fully prepare for a first-team game. Then hopefully get around 20-30 minutes vs Benfica on the Tuesday and fingers crossed, all being well he can then start vs Chelsea but as long as he is 100% ready!

If he isn't 100%, or at least close to 100% because I know footballers are rarely at 100% when they play, then it may not be worth the risk. It would be best to let him recovery as much as possible during the international break and be back for the Newcastle game on 18th November in time for the hectic winter period!

Is there another international break around the corner?

I'd rather have a half fit Pogba than a fully fit Herrera play against Spurs.

If he is remotly fit to play Jose will start him.

sorry for my english - off course pogba should not hurry his injury, but if he is enough fit to play for 20 min by Jose approval, i would use him

Very good English, except you should have said "fit enough" and "with Jose's approval" for it to be a perfect sentence.

Is it not possible he could be in training with the lads in Friday? Maybe make a bench appearance?

Many years ago, Sir Alex would happily rule out injured player x at the pre-match press conference, only for the same player to start the game the following day. In that case, the opposition had perhaps one hour to re-adjust, having already announced their own line-up.

Nowadays the Manchester Evening News lists all the players who turned up at the Lowry Hotel the night before the game, so it is pointless trying to surprise the opposition by sneaking Pogba into training once the cameras have departed.

Pogba can come to the Lowry a day earlier (tonight), Spurs won't know what hit them
