Di Marzio is super reliable especially when it comes to Juventus and Italian football. He doesn't report nonsense.
Juventus could never match United's asking price unless they throw in players. Seems like they are keen to bring him back though so we'll see what happens here.

I actually agreed with a lot of your points in that post.
Although he does have a tendency to sulk around at times, which was more predominant with Jose at the helm. The way Mourinho was I wasn't surprised. But since he's been here the media and pundits have basically hounded him over every aspect of his game, life.
He's our best player we should have been building a team with better talents around him not turning against him. It's no surprise he wants to leave really. If he goes to Madrid we'll be looking at highlights pining for a cm with his talent. Fernandes and the cms we have been linked to are not on this guys level when he's in form.
Why is it just assumed that Juve can't afford him? They've spent well within their means for years, been very successful domestically, qualify for the CL every year, have some commercial clout etc. Surely they can afford to splash the cash now and then.

No player is bigger than the the club, but times have moved on, and dealing with top players is different to 3-4yrs ago, brands and social media is a huge spotlight now for players.
The manager needs to move with the times, especially at a club like United, and educate these guys what is acceptable or not, in a relative state to 2019.

I think he's gone, there's no way back this time. Sadly,I see Madrid holding out until very late in the window and we'll cave around the 120m mark. And will have a nightmare trying to replace him with not much time remaining.

Regardless of if you think he's world class or not, or if he's lived up to his expectations or not, the kicker is if he wants to go then sell him. His tosser of an agent and Paul himself have plenty of potential to derail things if they aren't happy and we can't have that right now. If he wants to stay great, shut up get your head down and play, if not, put in a transfer request and sod off.

i'm afraid £150M is wishful thinking. He hasn't been performing anywhere near that level. Anything with triple digits would be a great sale.
It’s not wishful thinking at all. We aren’t under any pressure to sell him. It needs to be an outrageous sum of money to get us to sell. The market has exploded since 2016.
Young talents like De Ligt and Sancho are being valued at £80-£100 million and haven’t done anything yet.
Similarly, Maguire has not performed to the level of a £90 million defender but that’s Leicester’s valuation of him.
I hope Pogba stays, so in my eyes anything less than £180 million will be disappointing.
Madrid will make shit loads of money in sponsorships and promotion after signing Pogba.

It's not a matter of what his value is but what we would sell him at. We would sell him at £150m, we arent looking to give them a "fair" deal, just like no club is giving anyone else a fair deal. You want a player under contract that the team doesnt want to sell, well then pay a ridiculous price to get him. That's what the transfer market is these days. Clubs dont have to sell their assets and they put whatever value they want.
Ok his level has not been great agreed, but feckin hell if you read most of the posts on Pobga he's a hell of a player (when arsed, even United fans know that.) Loads of goals from MF (a lot being pens), superb passing ability and great carrying the ball too, he's young still, never really injured plus he's a big old unit. I'd say in todays market, £150M for Pogba is standard, nothing less. He wants to go as do most when Madrid call so if they want him, pay us. They always say Madrid can make the transfer fee back in shirt sales alone fs. Lets get our targets in 1st so we don't get fleeced then take Madrid to the feckin cleaners

Not at all. Starring role in a world cup win, big personality, incredibly gifted and marketable. If we sell, we should demand more than 150 million. That Madrid want him shows that you can't judge purely off playing in a dysfunctional team.

Agreed. We are under no pressure to sell. We get fleeced all the time on fees, time to return the favor. I don't mind if Pogba leaves, but get a big number and make a decision one way or another early in the market.
Real know they can't have Pogba this season, so maybe they re trying to assure he s in their plans for next season, this dismiss any encouragement he may have to join Juventus.

He's a top class player, and imo the best player in our team, but he's more Pirlo than he is Zidane or Viera and gets a lot of flack when we struggle. I think he needs to be in a top team to really shine, his through-balls would be better with better movement up front, he'd get to take more shots and score more goals in a possession based team or a team that play a high line like Madrid, he'll look better with players like Casemiro and to a lesser extent Kroos and Modric doing more of the grunt work.
Unfortunately we just don't have the squad for him to excel at, and it's a bit of a waste for him, and us right now. I'd sell and try and get two high level young attackers with potential in at around £60m each, or a midfielder + attacker.
