Get rid. He doesn't deserve to be here. Let him go to Madrid and I'm sure they will not win a CL or La Liga before we do. They are finished without Ronaldo, as Barca will be without Messi.

Why are we even arguing over a fictitious news story made by the sun fecking newspaper?

haven’t you guys got better things to do then keep worrying about pogba  headcases the lot of you!

Really? When are you estimating us to even challenge for CL again?

People talking like the £600k story is real

Look, he's frustrating as anything but if he's willing to buckle down and stay, then I'm all for it. I couldn't care less what he's paid (it wouldn't be £600k in any case). He's quite simply our most talented outfield player and is the one quality midfielder we have. He's not Scholes, or even a Carrick but he's massively important to us if we want to progress as a club from where we currently are in the immediate and short term.

For what it's worth, I think if he does end up signing it'll be for something around £500k p/week. Which is a feck tonne of money, but after the Sanchez deal it was always going to be on the cards.

All yes to selling POgba, but would prefer Brooks at Bournemouth to Maddison. Unless Pogba puts in some stellar performances between now and Jan, the most the club would be able to get for him is 100 to 120 mill.

500k no thanks. Sell him and buy 2/3 new midfielders with the money.

how strange that people are passing the £600k story of as just newspaper talk but wanted Rooney hung, drawn and quartered when the same paper wrote about his desire for a pay rise

I'll sell in Jan if someone comes with a good offer, especially if it's a swap deal. Season is totally fecked anyway and I don't think he had his mind into it at all. Doesn't mean I believe this 600k BS but we all know the only reason he has been staying so far is no one came with a good offer for him.

We just sold a £70mil striker & replaced him with. . . *

We lost Fellaini & Herrera who were replaced by. . . *

Anyone thinking the Pogba money will be reinvested pound for pound is honestly not watching the way this club is acting.

We need 2/3 new midfielders before selling Pogba, I’m honestly shocked how we’re allowing the club to get off with this without more uproar.

Exactly, we're better off holding onto Pogba.

At no point am I suggesting I trust the club to do the right thing.

All I am saying is he should be sold and replaced by 2/3 midfielders. Whether we buy them first then sanction the sale is irrelevant to me.

What to do about the club and its spending is another issue in its entirety

We need to renew his contract and keep him as arguably our most important and talented player. Next summer we need to add one or two players that can create chances so that we don't have to depend on Pogba for every attack.

Because everyone just blames Ole.

I dont think United will get close to what they would have gotten the summer gone. If he has another meh season with United missing out on CL football. He will become much more aggressive in seeking a move and it will get ugly.

Yep - you could get Brooks and Cook from Bournemouth for the price of Maddison, and both are more capable footballers IMO (and not that it’s really relevant, but childhood United fans too)

Looks like he will be off in the summer. My only hope is that money that was made from selling players will actually be reinvested in the team. Our midfield is bad per se, without Pogba and reinforcements it will be one of the worst in the prem.

With our board and this manager?:lol::lol:

Not sure why you have the green smilies, did you not see the word "hope" in my post? It's about all we have. I don't get you, it's shit right now for sure but welcome to the last 7 years, and weren't you one of the Mourinho holdouts?

I wasn’t laughing at you, I was laughing at us.

I would throw a cheeky bid at Dacoure at Waford come Jan, and get in brooks, plus another midfeilder with legs, who is in the mould of Arthur at Barcelona, let POgba go in Jan for 100 mill or as near as, give Fred a run of games in the league not in europe, write of this season, if we can get Europa league good and build for next season, by the summer we will know where we stand with Fred if he is still struggling, we can then offload him.

If we make in roads in the Europe league this season, great, if not, hey we tried.

With a midfield of one of mC T or Dacoure alongide Fred and Brooks, thats a nice balance, come summer ship out Linguard and get a right mid in the mean time try Dalot there.James and Rashford can compete for the left handside, Martial as 1st choice striker and Greenwood as understudy.

Ok then, but weren't you usually one of the glass half full posters when it came to the club? It just seems every time I see you post you're negative, which is my role. :D Jokes aside I agree things look bleak, take Ole out of it for a moment and I am not sure it matters who is manager while the infrastructure remains as it is, but I am liking the look of some of our young players so I'm clinging to that for now.

Well like you say with the board and the current manager it looks very bleak. I like the young players as well but the environment they are playing in is all wrong.

I agree with that, as Neville said during the West Ham game, we lack the quality senior players to give these young players a base to build off.

Who is buying Pogba in January ?

He's coming upto a new deal. The smart move by players is to go on a free or demand huge money from their current club. Ramsey is on something silly like 450k

It's simply maths really, they know to replace them you need to spend 100 million, so divide that by 5 years, 20 million, that's 384k a week, add that to his current salary and you're looking at close to 600k a week. Obscene money ofcourse but it's not far away from market value.

Pogba does not deserved the 600K salary and don't even deserved his current salary. Let him go for the 150mil and use the money to get someone similar like Lazio SM Savic who is of the same size with the same power. Probably United with have gotten rid of someone who has bad influence on the team.
Oh how I agree, trouble is who is going to pay that with performances he has put in since his arrival here?

If any one makes a bid, and if rumours are true about Zidane and Madrid parting company with Jose waiting in the wings then that transfer is dead in the water.
However, I’m not sure it was alive to start with, with Ronald gone if the board of Madrid wanted him then they would have got him in the summer, they didn’t. They are not blind they can see like us that Pogba is a waste of a shirt let alone the money.
I think we are stuck with him so I wouldn’t be renewing his contract I’ll be running it down hoping some desperate club makes a bid or just wait till he fecks off for nothing. The money we save on wages will cover any loss of a transfer, after all clubs weren’t knocking our door down offering an open cheque book this summer were they?
No bidding war for the best midfielder in the world, oh well. (tongue firmly in cheek with that las5 sentence).

2 things, first one Pogba isn't going to be getting 600k per week, and secondly, if we do sell him we aren't getting 150 million for him.

Really? When are you estimating us to even challenge for CL again?
In the next 3 years we can challenge for both PL and CL but that depends on Woodward, isn't it? Big teams becoming weaker and weaker except a few, so unless he is a dump fck he will invest the right way.

3 years ? You're day dreaming mate.

I'm thinking that at one point PSG will come in for him. They have an inexhaustible money supply. Big french name, coming back to France might give him the motivation he needs.

I don't think Zidane will last another full season at Madrid.

Exactly this. I can see him playing for PSG next season.

Reports are PSG are cutting back kno splashing big money though?

My dream scenario is a panicked Real Madrid pay us stupid money in January for Pogba. We could get 2 or 3 decent midfielders to fill the gap and offer more than Pogba does alone (job for the scouts). It's hard to see a long game with Pogba so cash in as best you can and rebuild this squad. If rebuilt properly, we could be challenging within 2 seasons (maybe even quicker with a better manager). No reason why not. One can dream...
