No way he is going now and I am sure he knows that but then that may not be the end game, if he has to stay then why not stir the pot enough that United decide to offer you a fat pay increase to settle you down. The way his entourage continue to stoke the flames is just a way of keeping all options on the table, Paul is smart enough not to burn bridges with his current employer or any prospective new employer but for all of the talk of trophies most players will take cash before glory.
The interest from Madrid does appear to be purely driven by Zidane anyway, Perez really doesn't seem that interested and I get the feeling the supporters are not terribly keen either. If Zidane does not last the season, which is looking increasingly likely, Paul may not have this kind of leverage next summer, particularly if as speculated Perez replaces Zidane with Jose. Now might be the optimum time for Paul to force Ed to the negotiating table and get that Sanchez level deal he clearly wants.

That's all that matters at the end of the day,he's still under contract for the next 2 years + a club option for a third. If a club wants him over the next year or 2 they'll have to cough up something near our valuation.
Had enough of other clubs taking us to the cleaners while expecting discounts on our players at the same time. Real quoted us for around €90m for Morata 2 years ago before selling him to Chelsea for almost 30m less before the window closed.
They can feck off with any offer less than what we're asking. They already got the steal of the century from us with getting Ronaldo for under 100m...

100% and tbh, I still don't see how he solves any of their issues even if he was to go there.
I'm also confident that Gomes will more than easily replace his attacking influence in time, and with someone like Garner behind him, we'll have got the end product at both ends of the pitch that we're currently lacking.
Sell Pogba for £150m-180m next summer, bring in Saul for c.£120m and SMS for c.£100m and then let Gomes and Garner grow around them and we'll have more than replaced Pogba in the short and long-term IMO
it would be phenomenal, in that league to not be top 4 is equivalent to Chelsea's season under Mourinho when he got sacked.
I think we'll have the cash for Sancho irrespective of what happens with Pogba. We've barely touched our budget for the last two seasons in terms of net spend.
We brought in money from the Lukaku sale and we'll likely get at least £150m from the Pogba sale when it finally does happen. We could realistically spend £350m minimum next summer with no issue if we had the inclination to. And that's where our issue lies...
They lost 12 matches last season while sacking 2 managers during the campaign and still finished 3rd, but people still think they'll finish outside top 4 in one day?

No matter what they offer now, club must not sell Pogba! Next season, he will go probably, unless we win EPL.
Madrid fans gave Ronaldo a hard time and he was as successful and consistent as any player I’ve ever known, Pogba is as inconsistent a superstar I’ve also ever seen.

Hard to know isn't it - although it's quite a big industry (and it's not *that* big by industry standards), a lot of the main protagonists are very young and possibly quite naive. I think he truly wants to work with Zidane, and I think if Zidane leaves the club he won't go there.
I am so disappointed that he posted a screenshot of his brother's interview on his Instagram status. Either he wants a new contract or Ole has a year to get the correct midfielders next summer.

But the chances of zidane lasting more than a year is surely 50/50 at best so how can you tie your ship to someone who probably won’t be there.
Well this is it. I also see Madrid as a club that's going to drift for 2 or 3 years now. That's inevitable when you have an ageing supreme team, and have lost your talisman. It takes time for the holes which have appeared to become gaps for fresh talent and new blood to fill out into.
Still, Pogba will want to move somewhere else if United don't make Top 4 and look like a serious team this year, and I couldn't blame him at all.

This is true as well, so long as Madrid had the defensive and midfield control. He'd be one of many creative talents, so it would be more of a case of *Pogba also chipped in with a sensational assist for 2-1* rather than *Pogba against struggles to unlock entire defence on his own, only creating 2 goalscoring opportunities in the match*.

I have respect for guys like Ronaldo who said I’ll do one more season before I want to go and play for the club I’ve dreamt of playing for, not bitches like this who looks ready to mess us around at his whim.
I don't think he's particularly likable from a fan point of view. He sees himself as bigger than the club and can't seem to stay focused on his job for a 90 minute game. From a manager's point of view I doubt he's anywhere near as big an issue as the media make him out to be. He seems to just get on with it and it's just about managing and weighing up the risk of his lack of focus against his obvious abilities.
I'd feel much more comfortable if we just had someone we could play instead. Then I wouldn't be bothered if we kept him or not. As it stands we kind of need him. Chelsea tolerated similar behaviour from Hazard when they were in a similar situation, but he's a much better player.
I don't condone what Pogba did or what his brother or agent are doing but I think we need to stop comparing Ronaldo and Pogba. And the reasons are that Ronaldo pretty much was going to play in the CL that year with United and also United were one of the favorites. Secondly, he was pretty much-guaranteed silverware the following season if he stayed at United for one more year. Thirdly, Ronaldo was 23/ 24 when he decided to stay another year which meant he had the bulk of his career left to play at Madrid (his lifelong dream). Now let's visit Pogba's situation, he does not have the necessary personnel around him to compete for the league title. Also, trophies are not guaranteed this season and we are not playing in the CL which every top player would like to play in. Also, he's 26/27, which means he's in the prime of his life and would like to play for a team that's competing for trophies on every front. Yes, I'm a United fan and I hate that he's toying with the club but I'm not going to hold him responsible for leaving because, at the end of the day, this is his job. If he doesn't feel like there's enough growth, anybody in their right frame of mind would leave for greener pastures. I bet Ronaldo would have kicked up a fuss if he was in the exact same situation that Pogba was. In fact, let's not forget the fuss Ronaldo kicked while he was at Madrid itself when it came to extending his contract.

Pogba has only done 2 full years, are we expected to sell him because he helped us fail last season after breaking a world record fee for him? Ronaldo was 4/5 years in before he started agitating and a damn sight more progressive/successful and delightful to watch.
That is a ridiculous thing to post from a so called professional. Social media posts that are deemed to be inciting negative media attention to the club should be a punishable offence. Fine him and any other players who want to act up two weeks wages and see how long they keep it up.
Ronaldo came into a team that was well established. It had a blend of experience and youngsters and more importantly, he had the best manager in the world to guide him. What has Pogba had since he came to United? Pogba is a world cup winner for god sake, he's shown time and time again what he's capable of. He's no doubt inconsistent but like I said, you can't compare two players who are in different situations to act the exact same way. For the record, you're the one who brought up that comparison. All I am saying is that, Pogba hasn't been managed properly to get the best out of him or for that matter the entire team. Since Pogba's arrival, he's had to play in Mourinho's pragmatic approach which does not suit his style. Now he's playing a lot freely under Ole.
