“Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on,” Raiola told The Times. “We are in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are.

“Everyone within the club, from the manager to the owner, knows Paul’s wishes.”

I don't think it's praiseworthy that he didn't go on strike or similar. Professional would have been shutting up and dealing with the club behind closed doors. Let's just hope he produces during the season, even if he knows he'll be leaving in the summer.
Typo mistake. I know his agent talked but Pogba himself kept it quiet.
I didn't praise him, just said that in contrast, he wasn't as bad as some showed this summer

I have been pretty critical of him in the past but it certainly puts it into context seeing how unprofessional that fat Belgian waffle was in comparison because in the end words are words but actions like leaving camp to go train with another club speak louder
That's exactly what I was trying to say. I know for a fact it pisses some off. Probably because the club still holds the cards this summer at least and there would be more to lose than to gain.

There is no grey area for some. I am saying Pogba despite wanting to leave, has behaved rather professionally in comparison to the shit a player like him could have pulled.

Do you really believe his agent is allowed to say that without pogba’s approval?

An agent like Raiola ? For sure he can say what he wants without Pogba's approval. Is it what happened here ? I have no idea.
Let's say he does have his approval, a player can express his desire to leave, directly or indirectly. I don't have an issue with it.
It's how the player behaves after that makes the difference for me.

Except Pogba came on before Raiola and said he wants a new challenge.

Raiola is an arse no doubt but if pogba didn’t approve what he said he should have made him retract it, as he didn’t in any form it means he approved of it.

And he also said in other interviews he liked the club and the manager but I like let's assume that Pogba publicly said he wants to leave. That wouldn't bother me still.

These quotes are way before he went on and said he wanted a new challenge, then followed shortly by Raiola saying he wanted to leave so no, both him and his agent took it in public which is completely unprofessional whatever way we try to excuse it.

The comparison with Lukaku is pretty bizarre for me. Lukaku was also staying and training for the summer with the club normally and went on strike in his last 2 days when he was about to leave. There's absolutely no comparison between both situations. The difference between the cases is Lukaku was set to leave, the price tag wasn't high and 2 teams were negotiating it. On the other hand, Pogba and his agent tried to go in public to reduce the price tag set on him then probably gave up on United selling for anything less than the ridiculous fee, so no need to burn bridges because there was a big chance he'll stay with this.

So how are both situations comparable I don't get it ?

I don't doubt he wants to leave  For some reason you think I think he wants to stay.

Haha no, I just think your defending him as if he has done nothing wrong. Maybe it’s because I can’t forgive his performances in the last part of the season. He was a disgrace but that’s a different argument :D

We did have a debate about the whole trying to lower the price before and we couldn't agree with it. Not gonna do that dance again. Forger Lukaku then, use Koscielny as an example of that type of shitty behavior a player can resort to if he wants to leave.

No that isn't what I'm doing. That's exactly what I was talking when I said there is no middle ground with Pogba, you're either for or against.
I'll try to clarify myself, I think him wanting to leave is his right, it pisses me off but I accept it. I'm sure he wants to go but so far he hasn't resorted to Koscielny type of behavior which isn't bad all things considered.
We'll see how he plays now

Yeah Koscielny was dogshite in his behavior but again, you're comparing complete different scenarios. There was no reason for Pogba to go on strike because he wasn't sure if the club was going to lower his price tag or if Real Madrid will be willing to pay it so if it backfires then he's pretty much fecked up ( I said exactly the same when these rumors happened before he traveled on the tour ). There's difference between going on strike when you're 100% sure you're going to leave and the deal isn't completed, and going on strike while you're not even sure if the other team will pay for you or not. In Pogba's case it would have been idiotic.

That's my point. He is handling cleverly, he knows his position isn't of strength at the moment so he is playing it cool.
I don't buy the whole "lower the price", that's something he had no power on this summer.
Even the rumors from Madrid seems to have died at this point.

Man. United are short on core numbers in central midfield as things stand, no chance Pogba is leaving this window.

Maybe in January....

Except Pogba came on before Raiola and said he wants a new challenge.
Top player in harbouring great ambitions than top six shocker. No fecking shit he wants a new challenge. We all do. He’s not going to be the only one disillusioned if we can’t deliver it.

Add to that he is hated by the fan base and blamed for our performances since he returned. Is anyone surprised he'd be happy to leave?

The challenge of getting us back to the top is bigger than anything in Turin or Madrid.

If Madrid came up with the £180m he'd be gone.. they don't rate him at even half that, so he stays

Careful mate you’ll be told to go & support Pogba FC if you have too balanced a view on this.

People baying for blood this summer cause the guy sees he’s in the midst of an absolute s*** storm.

If the youngsters really succeed then I think he’s staying and will want to play with them. I have a feeling the new kids must show something in training beyond what we are used to. I know the odds are against us and very few academy players make it, but I believe it can make Pogba stay if he sees massive talent coming through!

Only Zidane wants him, Madrid isn't really interested in him beyond that considering their joke bids compared to their other transfer targets.

If you're Pogba would you want to stay after last season? Probably not. If we thrive then there is plenty of challenge at United. He could have said, he don't believe the Owners are serious but let's see. The players better be serious.

If you're United, should you really want him to stay after seeing how he downed tools late in the season, when the chips were down? Probably not. Hopefully he comes back with a new attitude this season, and keeps it going for an entire season, rather than when he feels like it.

If Pogba starts the season well than the fans will get behind him even though he shot his mouth off at the end of the season which in my eyes was disgraceful.
I think he is not the sharpest tool in the shed when he talks about needing a new challenge after Utd spending all the money on him and the length of his current contract but maybe he just has really bad people around him giving him bad advice. Either way if he wants to go to one of the big boys outside England he has to lift his level of performance to have them interested and you would think with the Euros at the end of the season it would be raising the level of all players who aspire to have involvement with their respective countries.
If he starts badly and just jogs around the pitch I do not think it will be long before he feels the resentment from the tail end of last season considerably cranked up.

I love the fact Pogba has stuck around. He’s always been committed to my eyes & he’ll always be a United supporter even if he end up leaving us next summer.

It took courage to come back. Plus he stood there & took the abuse from the stands on the last game. Didn’t shy away from it.

Pogba is more of a united fan than most i’ll guarantee that. The others can’t get in Barcelona & Madrid’s team so they are stuck with us

I expected some damaging headlines from him and his agent on the morning of our first match but at least they’ve avoided that tactic. That reflects well on Pogba given how desperate Raiola must have been to do his usual thing.

Needs to put in the most half-arsed, lethargic, visibly uninterested performance he's capable of

Maybe that will convince United to get rid anyways

The Pogba bashing continues to be so comical. If I were him id want away from you lot as well.

Or in other words play like he does 50% of the time anyway?

So like most games?

Reckon a good bid could have convinced united to sell....... 27 mil + a player no one wants isn't it.

Did all the players 'down tools' late in the season ?

All eyes will be on Pogba this season. I hope he performs to his capabilities and plays for the badge.
