He has been one of our best player last year why selling him when he knows the philosophy, when he's like by LVG and provides a different threat in our midfield ?

One of our best players last season, he's not going anywhere.

Awful thread -> RAWK mode -> thread lock. Thread starter should be given time off to take a long & hard look at Stevie G.

Yes, he was one of our best players last season, just shows how badly our team performed for a lot of the season. If it had not been for DeGeas heroics, we would not even be in The Champions League play-offs! This season I hope we dont have to resort to booting the long ball up for a goal.

Jesus. Being happy that a player who looked like a changed man under LVG is linked away from the club.

Come on now.

Very useful plan B to have. As I've been saying all along, even during this great form last year, he won't be a starter this season.

No need to sell him.

Shameful, ungrateful thread. You may not like the way he plays, but his commitment, work ethic and effectiveness was far greater than most players last season.

Disgusts me to see the contrasting praise Di Maria gets for barely trying at the end of the season compared to a guy that has worked his ass off for us.

He is 27, I expect us to squeeze 2 quality years out of him - People act like last season was a fluke, he also won Everton a lot of points in a similar manner prior to his move to OT - The season under Moyes shouldn't be the bar at all.

But I guess some players never get love from the fans regardless of their performances on the field.

If it helps us win games who cares.

A Daily Express article as the basis for a new transfer speculation thread in the Manchester United forum. Lovely.

We don't need the money and he offers us tactical options.

I could kind of understand why people previously wanted wanted rid as it might prevent other comings in. After signing the Schines the argument now boils down to childish dislike of a player.

If it wasn't for fellaini's goals and performances we mightn't be in the champions league play offs either

The tone of the thread is stupid, but if we sign a striker in the mold of Benteke, I'm all for selling Fellaini, he isn't creative enough as an attacking midfielder and Benteke is a vastly superior striker. If we don't sign a strong and powerful striker or if Van gaal prefers to table on speed and skills, we shouldn't listen to offers for Fellaini.

Why does it mean that our team was bad if fellaini was the best player ? The guy is a professional footballer capped a lot of times for Belgium. After his first season was bad, the guy worked hard and got his rewards for it. He was unplayable in a lot of games all season. Mourinho played his most defensive game at home vs us because he knew fellaini can change the game for us. He sacrificed a midfielder and played zouma in DM to mark him. He is also the first name on the team sheet for Belgium. He is not some rubbish footballer who just had a good few games.

4 games ! 4 good games!

It wasn't 4 games. He was also good against Chelsea at OT arsenal at Emirates and many other games

He was one of our best players last season however I can't help thinking that Schneiderlin and Bastian had made him redundant. Fellaini brought physicality in a midfield stocked with boy scouts. We don't need that anymore as we've got better players who can provide steel and a can do attitude in midfield. I cant help to think that if we keep him he'll end up passing most of his career on the bench only to be sold for ridiculous money to some Turkish side.

Can't wait for some people to implode when next season we'll still resort to playing Marouane when our tippy-tappy football with no penetration fails.

Shiny new toys, cue collective amnesia. Countdown begins for the 'Young out' thread. The travails of being a United fan.

What a shit thread, jesus the muppets are out in force.

FFS the article is in the daily express, theres more chance of the Weekly World News having a credible transfer story.

Despite his last seasons performances which were mostly very good for his capabilities. I dont see any spot for him in the current team except as a sub when shit his the fan.

Its nice to have him in the squad, but i couldn't understand from his POV that he doesn't want to go into a battle with schweinsteiger, mata, di maria, rooney, herrera, schneiderlin who can all fill his spot.
