I wasnt trying to contradict you, I was just curious and tried to find the best commercially available answer.
We need to get it inside a Wii sized box for 300 quid.

Why? Why can't be have one twice the size but made with bio degradable material?
The bigger the box, the more it costs.
If you're happy with lag and YouTube quality graphics, all the well. That will be the way to go eventually.
The 3DS' main reason for disappointing sales was its lack of games. Nintendo are rectifying that and the sales are on the up. The Wii and DS absolutely printed money for Nintendo. If Sony don't see the Wii-U as a competitor based on its rumoured power (or lack there of), they're absolute mugs. Nintendo have quite a good fan base and now can draw in more of the core gamer market, because they'll have the heavy weight devs taking the console seriously. EA have come out and said that the controller design is extremely exciting from a developers point of view.
The Doom mongering related to Nintendo products have been proven to be nothing but that in recent times. Even if the Wii-U is a flop (I think at worst, it'll have 'good' sales figures), Nintendo made more than enough from the last gen to take a hit on the bottom line figure.
Regarding the Wii-U's specs, at first I also believed that it'd be nothing more than a slight upgrade on the PS3 specs but I wouldn't be surprised if it boasted significantly better specs because I'm sure as Nintendo learnt from this gen, if they put it on par with the PS3, they'll need to come out with a new console within the next 5 years because the PS3 graphics are begining to look quite outdated already.
Everyone said that the Wii would be a flop, that no one would buy it, we all know how that turned out. I wouldn't be so quick to write off the Wii-U. A console that offers Nintendo exclusives + the other major multiplatform titles, just won't fail.
The 3DS also flopped due to the issues many experienced with the 3D of it. The sales maybe picking up by they are taking a £70 hit on the original price point on every Unit.
The main problem for the Wii is 3rd Party developers never really got the most out of the Wii remote, and it was the same with the DS.
Personally i think the Nintendo exclusives, most aimed at children, actually puts of the FPS, RPG, Action gamers that make up the vast majority of PS3 and Xbox fans.
I said £70 from the original price point. Which they did, wasnt it originally selling for £269.99 and they slashed it to £199.99.
I meant 3rd party developers didn't get the most out of the DS dual screen, Nintendo did some great stuff with it. A lot of 3rd party devs just used it for a map or a inventory screen. Yawn!
And that's my opinion about Nintendo. Mario, pokemon great games but you don't get your average joe who plays Call Of Duty rushing out to get the next Mario.
That's because the average CoD player that thinks like, that think that going round shooting muscled up blokes is what being a proper grown-up is all about![]()

I hope this and the Xbox are years away to be honest. Really dont want to have to fork out loads of cash for new consoles
I just got in some great news about Xbox sales over the Holiday weekend.
Here are the details directly from a notice we just sent to press:
Entering the seventh year of its lifecycle, Xbox 360 just closed the biggest sales week in the history of Xbox, selling more than 960,000 consoles in the U.S. during the week of Black Friday.
Microsoft’s retail partners are equally excited about our sales performance this holiday.
“We have seen tremendous excitement from customers for our hot holiday gaming offers,” said Chris Homeister, senior vice president and general manager of Home Entertainment at Best Buy. “Xbox 360 was among the best-sellers at Best Buy this Black Friday, and is a testament to the continued popularity of the gaming category this holiday.”
Sales highlights in the U.S. during the week of Black Friday include:
Xbox 360 sold more than 960,000 consoles in the U.S. alone, of which more than 800,000 were sold within a period of 24 hours – the biggest week of sales in Xbox history. (Source: Internal data)
More than 750,000 Kinect for Xbox 360 sensors were sold in the U.S. – standalone and bundled. (Source: Internal data)
Weaste, is this forthcoming "PS3 exclusive we won't believe" going to be GOW4?
Just downloaded the 4.0 firmware update for PS3. It's a sign! PS4 is imminent!!!
No, no, no.
That would make it the PS3.5, or PS3S.
Just because it's the 4.0 firmware doesn't mean it will be the PS "4".
Weaste, do/did you work in the industry? Or do you just have a passion for PlayStation? Or both...
Report: BOTH New Xbox and PS4 Will Be Shown At E3
UK games industry outlet MCV has reported that both the next Xbox AND the PlayStation 4 will be shown at this year's E3 in June.
This isn't the first time that a publication has cited an unnamed source with information like this, but this isn't some unknown central European games blog - MCV's credibilty makes this particular report worth paying attention to.
Speaking on Twitter, MCV's online editor Ben Parfitt said "Obviously we can't reveal our sources. But you have my personal word on this - the source is exemplary, 100% concrete, ultra high level."
We shouldn't necessarily expect a full-blown reveal, though - we might just see the announcement. Editor-in-Chief Michael French told IGN: "This is very credible. Even if we don't see the hardware itself, or know a price or date, key publishers and developers are expecting some nod towards what direction PS4 will take at E3 this year. Sony isn't stupid - it knows that if Microsoft is planning to also say something about its next console, it can't be left behind."
Many were expecting Microsoft to come out on stage at E3 with some information about the new Xbox, but Sony's reveal would be more surprising, as a new console at this stage in the PlayStation 3's life cycle would fly in the face of the company's stated "ten-year plan".
If both Sony and Microsoft do indeed reveal their new consoles at the same time as Nintendo details the release schedule and pricing for the Wii U, this would quite probably be the biggest E3 in history.
A few posters here I think still are in it, but then you get posters such as Redlambs who also got out of it. Redlambs is a great guy, more designer than programmer, but he still has a lot of contacts within the industry in the UK. He was at his peak in the early GCN/PS2 era.
