I've played them all except for Demon's Souls. Well, I played the remake for a bit but didn't enjoy it that much. I'll have to delve back into it again. But Bloodborne is one of my favorite games of all time.

TW3 did that for me. ER is great but not sure it necessarily raised the bar in anything. It's Souls games brought to an open world.

The level of praise is wholly unwarranted, It's not excellent use of open world. It's just open world, and really empty one at that. The gameplay mechanics and such are as always brilliant, but this isn't some quantum leap from previous Souls games.
Think a lot of these people will be players that never played the others or got x amount of hours in then quit because it was way less accessible.
Thought elden ring was excellent but think open world is a huge disservice to the level design from software are capable of.
Just impulse purchased one... Comes with Horizon so looking forward to playing that.

It's really not that hard, way easier than Demon Souls was. At it's worst is maybe a boss taking 4 or 5 goes. Given it's format you can always do something else and come back.
Definitely worth picking up at some point as think most who have been put off would actually really enjoy it.

Well my first try was "it can be my for my birthday" ... which didn't really work as my birthday was 2 weeks ago and she already got me stuff for it... so I'll get back to you!

Fair. I’m tempted to say it’s a gift to myself for the stress I’ve endured this season with Everton, see how that goes. IllHFW is awesome and improved the story immensely. Everything miles better.
My only gripe with horizon which is a harsh criticism really was everything was too fleshed out.
like every single conversation, side quest etc the npc’s just never shut up or had to much to say with a million dialogue options I got impatient in the end and just started skipping it all.

Had a look at what’s expected to be part of the Ubisoft catalogue…Rayman wasn’t on there
not a PS5 game, but just picked up Wasteland 3 with all the dlc for £9.99 on sale on PSN. A game I've always had my eye on but not played, but at that price it's almost rude not to buy it. I'll be playing it on my PS5 so that's why I mentioned it in this thread
Yep. If somebody made a dartboard of all the worst things in videogames this would be the bullseye for me.
I just finished Mass Effect 3 which has the same issues. I must have skipped 80% of the dialogue and not missed any of the actual story.

Digital Foundy have done an excellent retrospective of Motorstorm, one of the most criminally underrated PS3 series.
Absolutely beautiful game and drive club also by them in some weather conditions was also incredible.
Loved the music in this game.
Happy that Miles Morales is coming to that new PS Plus. Can't wait to play.

Drive Club still looks phenomenal now. Shame what happened to that game, really.
Thanks for the tips lads, Ia ctually have a few games, Horizon, Spider-man and Elden Ring. I already beat the latter on ps4, so it's between the first 2. I imagjne Astro's playroom is the Astrobot franchise? I loved the VR game so will try that too.

Yeah, Astro is free and a great introduction to the controller and is basically a homage/tribute to previous generations and games.
Not really a fps or battleroyal type of person. I will get the next Fifa for sure though.Can't go wrong with Fifa, Call of Duty and Fortnite

As they say in the vid, they built on the fundamentals of the first game and basically improved it in all areas. BLUR is another racer that was criminally underrated.

I subscribed to telegram groups and discords until a mate said, I heard theres actually quite a few non online shops who have them if you just walk by. The scalpers are all online after all. First shop I visited had it in stock.

Yeh Blur was an excellent game. Can't believe its sequel got shuttered. Just another gaming catastrophe we have Activision to thank for.
