Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

Fight Night Champion was in 2011. They said there putting Fight Night on hold for the UFC games, but there is rumors they have started on a new Fight Night for 2016/17
UFC is terrible compared to Fight Night.

Witcher 3
Bloodbourne
Batman Arkham Knight
Metal Gear Solid 5
Fallout 4
Final Fantasy XV (I think)
Persona 5

Lots of good games this year

Persona 5 is only coming out in Japan and America. Seems really odd...

Edit - Also saw this

Vanishing of Ethan Carter which is another good achievement of a Polish gamemaking studio after Dying Light and Witcher 3 already released this year has found its way to PS Store today.

Gorgeous graphics and fantastic plot apparently, only a 5-hour game but for €19 it's to be expected. I intend to grab it in the coming days and play it in full during one evening next week.

6th May: Murasaki Baby (PS Vita)
Just got round to this. Nice, easy fast little game. Can go from start to finish in a couple of hours but I like the mechanics they use and the art style. There are some awful bugs in this game in that a message pops up saying "can't save the file" and the game crashes towards the end meaning you lose out on progress due to the earlier bug but as a PS+ game it ain't the worst.

For the first time in 4 years I have a summer off, so I bought a PS4. My brother already has his, so I have plenty of games to choose from, yet I tried AC4 & GTA5 and couldn't get into them at all.

I think I need a more simple game to ease me back in, any suggestions? I was thinking Shovel Knight, Resogun, or Life is strange?

Anyone given Rory McIlroy PGA Tour a go?

Just read a pretty scathing review which is putting me off but would be interested to hear from anyone who has it.

Jesus, the reviews are rough, was looking forward to that, but 4 (real) courses, fecked create a golfer...
Yea, sounds like they've taken absolutely loads of stuff from the old Tiger ones out of it.

The list of can'ts in Rory McIlroy PGA Tour is as long as the par-5 14th hole at Pebble Beach, which, to get things started, you can't play — and Pebble had been on the disc of every game in this series going back to 1997.

The Last of Us is must for any PS4 user then there are : Far Cry 4, Wolfenstein, Shadow of Mordor.

If you have ps plus then I would definitely recommend Rocket League. Easy mechanics and tons of fun.

Was thinking that maybe this thread could be used to figure out what games people will be playing on a given evening?

Otherwise it means separate posts in the GTA, FIFA and Rocket League threads and tough to keep on track of it.

Will be on tonight - up for any of the above 3 games.

I don't know of there's any point planning to be honest, generally just heading on and seeing what everyone is up for seems to work. You also have the unreliability of servers on certain nights.

Fair enough and maybe you're right. I just found myself switching between the 3 threads to see who was going to be about.

It seems it's the same old story (like, for example, Gta4/latest F1 on a lot of things) of stripping features for a new gen to guarantee sales when those features are re-introduced bit by bit.

I bet they 'update' it a little after the bad press.

Just bought the Life is Strange collection. Anyone here play it? Also, just finished The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. Interesting game but felt a bit ripped off having paid €17 for it. Felt like a €9.99 title. Also, God awful voice acting, protag not so bad.

Journey is out today. Those who didn't play on PS3, I would definitely recommend it and those who already played it and want to play it again, it's free for those who had bought it on PS3.

Just finished the first episode of Life is Strange. Pretty damn good. Top notch choice of music, terrible lip syncing. I mean way off. Would def recommend it to those who like the Telltale games.

Was tempted to try them - not sure if they are my type of game or not.

I played it last night and thought it was really good.

I bought it on PS3 but never really played it. Downloaded it on PS4 last night so will give it a proper go.

Love the fact it's free if you bought it on PS3.

I would say try to play it in one go as the gameplay is very simple but the quality of the game is about this "journey" you are on. I say this because it's only a few hours long and I'm not sure I would have enjoyed it if I played it in bits.

Cool - good tip :)

I will probably buy Ethan Carter at some point this week. It's a short game and probably not worth the full price but since it's made by a Polish studio and hits home with its atmosphere, setting and plot for me I am probably not going to regret it. Also I'd like a game that I could finish in two days without pushing myself too hard.

Hopefully the Polish VO isn't as bad as the English one. Took the tension out of some scenes. Especially the grandad. Whoever voiced him is mos def not a professional actor.

Not sure I'm going to play this in Polish. Gonna try though after making this mistake in Witcher 3 where I hadn't tried until well into the game (40 hours or so) and then realized that Polish is on a completely different level in terms of dialogue quality, humour and everything compared to English. Does anyone find Witcher 3 particularly funny in English? Probably no, in Polish it's fecking hilarious at times.

At times, yeah, I found some of the dialogue and delivery of said dialogue funny. I couldn't imagine anyone else voicing Zoltan in particular.
