Yeah Bloodborne is deliberately more accessable to draw in the punters. Fair play making a seperate series to do that too, hopefully DS3 will be back to full on and all those who like Bloodborne will give it a try and prove once and for all console gamers aren't all brainless fools :lol:
 
PS+ for May



Can't comment much on the selection this month, haven't really followed any of them except Guacamelee which I got about halfway through on Steam until my controller got on my nerves with it. Good game though, suspect it will be better with the DS4.
 
None of them take my fancy at all. Can't say I'm surprised. I'm used to this now though, its barely worth checking the free games now for me personally.

Busy month anyway, FFX Remaster, Witcher 3, my month is gone right there.
 
Yeah, The Witcher 3 is a blackhole thats come to consume all your gaming time for the foreseeable future.
 
I could swear Guacamelee has been on Ps Plus before. I have played it and finished it. Genuinley a great game

Unfinished Swan is nice too, I purchased it a few months ago

It has but not on PS4.

Five of those games can be played on PS4. Doesn't matter much for me as I've got all three consoles but nice for those who've only got one:

6th May: Ether One (PS4)

6th May: Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition (PS4)

6th May: The Unfinished Swan (PS4, PS3, PS Vita)

6th May: Race the Sun (PS4, PS3, PS Vita)

6th May: Murasaki Baby (PS Vita)

6th May: Hohokum (PS4, PS3, PS Vita)
 
Haven't heard of most of those games and already played guacamele on the vita. Why can't they just get something like Black Flag or Driveclub PS edition.

It was on huge sale on Ps plus flash sale or something. I dont remember Guacamelee been on ps plus though.

very good game. I'd recommend to everyone especially to fan of platformers.

I didnt get PS plus for free games. I got it for multiplayer.

People are complaining because they got 5 free games for free?
 
Just bought the PS4 last week and i'm very disappointed that it doesn't have 5G connectivity with my WIFI connection, so have to put up with painfully slow speeds on my 2G network. I have Virgin 152MB Fiber Optic by the way.

It took nearly an hour to download a 850MB game from the PS Store when I typically reach speeds of at least 1MB per second on my 2G and much faster speeds on my 5G network.

Are the servers in the PS Store usually this slow? Because it has put me off downloading anything larger than a few hundred MB's from it.

Ah didn't realise that. I only played an hour or so on the Vita so might give it a go on the PS4. Maybe I am some sort of elitist because I just can't get into indie games.

@Roopea PS downloads are far faster than that for me. A 850mb download I would estimate would take 15-20 mins on my ps4
 
I wish they'd stop giving away free games I already have on Steam, the inconsiderate bastards.

I do wonder if they'll be pressured into releasing more AAA games in the future. A lot of people seem pissed that it's mainly indies.
 
Just downloaded warframe again, played it about a year a go for a short while and found it pretty fun. Heard its had updates and stuff too so should kill a bit of time for me.
 
Do we not expect any price drop in the forseeable future?

I'm not desperate to own one and not enough games interest me yet to justify paying he current retail price.

Bought them a while back when I was bored and impulsey :lol: Haven't really played them yet, went on and shot about one thing and that was it just to see what it was like, they seemed worth the few quid.

Except those games aren't free. The reason PS+ requires a subscripton fee (whereas PSN was completely free on the PS3) is because you're inadvertendly paying for a selection of games every month.

So I can hardly blame people for complaining when they're given some indie bargain bin trash.

Has it been any good? Might give it a go. Watching the giant bomb quick look for it and it seems decent.

Had a quick go last night, a lot has changed but I didn't really enjoy it, couldn't figure out how to delete my char and start from scratch. Probably enjoy it more if I do it that way.

I paid for a years subs, something like £50, that's feck all. I'm happy with anything I get.

I would rather they kept multiplayer free like it was for years and let me keep that money instead of receiving indie games which mostly aren't that good. Over the course of the generation it almost adds up to the price of another console.
 
Free online play is not a sustainable thing though.
The yearly subs are not expensive.

I think its more sony realising how much more money they can rake in rather than them not being able to sustain free online. It was free for 7 years on ps3.
 
I'm looking for some advice on DS4-compatible earphones. I've been using the one which ships in the box with the PS4, but it's uncomfortable and the sound quality isn't great.

I tried using my iPhone 5 earbuds, but they cause a constant ringing noise to be heard by other players I'm chatting with online, so those are out. After some research, I discovered that it's got something to do with different type of jack connections, which cause the iPhone earbuds not to work properly. I've also tried using a pair of my sisters Bose AE2 headphones, which work great, but she's obviously not keen on me stealing them constantly to play FIFA online.

I know Turtle Beach are excellent, but I think I'd rather have something in-ear, purely for comfort. Two questions then: does anyone have any fairly cheap recommendations of earphones, with in-line microphone, which will work with the DS4 and not cause a ringing or buzzing for other players? How can I check which headphones or earphones will have that problem and which won't? Or is that not possible?
 
I find any semi decent ear buds with an in-line mic work fine. I have a pair of Soundmagics and some Sony ones I got with my phone and they are always clear and I never get any complaints about sound quality from my end.

I have considered buying the official Sony headset because they're wireless and compatible with PC as well.
