Players leaving? Who would you replace them with?

Laird, tbh could be sold with a low buy back fee. At. and R. Madrid seems to make this work.

Ive never even seen him, seems very highly rated though, with Young getting another year, would make sense for him to be the replacement and cover for Shaw after that and he can also play right back I believe, which would be handy with Dalot able to play both flanks as well, would be great cover from two youngsters if we do sign another right back this summer

Not all of these will leave -

De Gea: Dean Henderson/Jan Oblak/Gianluigi Donnarumma/Thomas Strakosha
Valencia: Thomas Meunier/Youcef Atal/Kenny Lala (though the latter 2 might not be strong enough defensively)
Darmian: Ethan Laird
Bailly: Matthijs De Ligt/Nikola Milenkovic/Joachim Andersen/Dayot Upamecano/Ibrahima Konate/William Saliba/Benoit Badiashile
Rojo: Brandon Williams
Herrera: Thomas Partey/Rodri/Declan Rice/Diadie Samassékou/Denis Zakaria/Saul/Sandro Tonali
Pogba: Bruno Fernandes AND Hossem Aouar/Kai Havertz/Lorenzo Pellegrini/Nicolo Barella/Julian Brandt
Mata: Mason Greenwood/Nicolas Pepe/Joao Felix/Antoine Griezmann/Federico Chiesa/Ismaila Sarr
Sanchez: Jadon Sancho/Callum Hudson-Odoi/Ousmane Dembele/Mikel Oyarzabal/Dani Olmo
Lukaku: Sébastien Haller/Maxi Gomez/Luka Jovic/Krzysztof Piątek/Aleksandar Mitrovic/Jean-Philippe Mateta/Duván Zapata

Valencia, Darmian, Rojo; Tuanzebe and Laird.
Mata; Greenwood.

These players should leave regardless.

Players that might leave and would need replacing:

Herrera; Anyone among the likes of Brandt, Partey, Barella, Pellegrini, Rabiot etc. As long as we do not spend £50m on another Fred we should be satisfied. Herrera, despite his heart and effort, is not the hardest player to replace.

DDG; If we can 75% of Oblaks clause for DDG then we got it all sorted. Might turn out to be a great deal for the the club in the long run.

Lukaku; Do not think he will be that difficult to replace him as we already got Rashford and Martial that should primarily be used as strikers.

Pogba is the only player that is difficult to replace, since most of our attacking game is dependent on him. The rest of the players in the squad can be replaced with similar quality or better for around the same price as they would fetch us, but replacing Pogba would mean that the team will have to adapt and find new ways to attack(something that should happen with or without Pogba).
Why the feck would you want Greenwood, Laird and Tuanzebe to leave?

Laird is the next best prospect amongst the youngsters at the club imo, after Greenwood. Very similar to Max Aarons at Norwich. We will sign Meunier this summer, and with Dalot, Shaw and Young at the club he will not get enough opportunities in the first team. Playing him in the u23 squad will not benefit him at all, since players we have in that squad does not seem to improve at all.

Going by only the players we've being linked to - I don't care if it were by the Daily Mirror or Sun, and assuming that most of those players listed on the OP are leaving - I doubt they will all leave, then I think we'd be better off recalling Dean Henderson to go with Romero rather than blowing loads on a goalkeeper, seeing that we'd have many other positions to fill.
We would probably be signing a center back anyway, so I think Bailly or/and Rojo leaving would be the outcome rather than the other way. Koulibaly would be good, but de Ligt would also be good to pair with Smalling though Romagnoli has always being my dream CB signing. We need a top performing CB that would likely perform from day 1, no point selling Rojo or Bailly and bringing in another CB that might underwhelm like them. If both Rojo and Bailly are leaving, then bring back Tuanzebe.
Valencia and Darmian leaving - although they rarely play - would leave us very light at FB. We would have Shaw who is very good on the left, Dalot who is young, and Young who is underwhelming. Since we have a performing LB with both Dalot and Young also capable of deputizing there, I think I am with @Devil may care opinion that we'd be better off signing an able RB at the right age and good going forward to bridge the gap to Dalot. We've being linked to Meunier, and I think he'd be a good signing. He is suspect defensively but dominant, and with a very good CB and CM backbone with Shaw on the other side, I think he would be a very good signing for decent money.
Midfield is where shit gets real for sure. We could do with one player there even if there's no exit. Matic would be the easiest to replace there as we could do with a DM that is actually a DM. Though Rodri would be a top buy, I think a Herrera - Rodri - Pogba midfield would still be unbalanced and probably even more defensive. Our current midfield setup is rubbish and incredibly lopsided with two defensive midfielders and a supposed attacking midfielder who is phobic to tight spaces and is always pulling out to the left. I don't know if it's on tactics or on Herrera and Pogba, but I feel for our right sided players - RB and RW, and any new RW would be isolated more often than not. What I'm trying to say is that our midfield needs a restructure. I wouldn't bat an eyelid if both Herrera and Pogba leave provided we replace both. I would bring in Bruno Fernandes and Ndombele to go with Rodri, but they might be too expensive, so I think Rodri, Rabiot and Bruno would be smart and balanced in a 2-1 midfield.
I would keep Lukaku in attack. He is a top striker, and with a more structured midfield and better service from the flanks, he'd be very good leading the line. Sancho on the right for decent money to replace Mata and potentially Sanchez in the squad would be great, if we can't get him, then do some scouting ffs.
OUTs - probably unrealistic
De gea
Bailly
Rojo
Valencia
Darmian
Herrera
Pogba
Mata
Sanchez(*)

INs
Koulibaly
Meunier
Rodri
Rabiot
Bruno
Sancho
Around £300m expenditure, but with Pogba and De gea potentially leaving, money would be there to be spent. It would be a massive shame if we've got a top overhaul plan for the summer, but Solskjaer turns out to be the wrong manager.
De gea - Dean Henderson
Valencia + Darmian - Meunier
Rojo - Koulibaly
Bailly - Tuanzebe
Herrera - Rabiot + Rodri
Pogba - Bruno Fernandes
Mata + Sanchez - Sancho
Promote young players to complete the squad.
GK - Henderson, Romero, Grant
CB - Koulibaly, Smalling, Lindelof, Jones, Tuanzebe
RB - Meunier, Dalot
LB - Shaw, Young
DM - Rodri, Matic
CM - Rabiot, Fred, Mctominay
AM - Bruno Fernandes, Andreas Pereira
W - Martial, Sancho, Lingard
CF - Lukaku, Rashford
Top squad, and much more balanced and complete compared to the one we currently have. At least two players for each position too.

Poorly written, but meant as direct replacements in the first team squad for Rojo, Darmian, Valencia and Mata.
Ah ok... that makes more sense.

De Gea: Oblak
Bailly: De Ligt
Darmian: Ethan Laird
Fosu-Mensah: Tuanzebe
Rojo: ------
Valencia: -----
Herrera: Rodri
Pogba: Saul
Fellaini: Partey
Mata: Bruno Fernandes
Sanchez: Hudson-Odoi
Lukaku: Mason Greenwood

Among the players leaving, Pogba is the only player that we will struggle to replace with similar or better players, assuming Oblak still got his £85m clause and willing to leave for our club.

Pogba - Fred
Herrera - Mctomminay
Sanchez - Greenwood
Rojo - Tuanzabe
De Gae - Henderson

You gotta be kidding me.... Fred needs replacing as it is... Henderson deserves to be our No. 2. I think Joel Pereira is overrated. We do however need someone like Oblak to replace De Gea if he leaves. All his loan deals have been average. Greenwood can do much more than what Sanchez does... The only question I would have is his piano playing capability.... just kidding....
Matic needs replacing and James Garner would be a great backup. He definitely looks like the real deal. Tuanzebe will also come good. However, i do believe we need a Koulibaly to provide leadership. Koulibaly, Lindelof and Tuanzebe would be good and dependable.

We'd need a big overhaul.
If De Gea leaves, I'd stick with Romero and Henderson, invest the money on other positions. CM, CB, RB, and RW.

We'd probably need a whole new midfield!!

De Gea: I don't think he will leave, but I can only see him going to Real, which means that Courtois will probably have to go. I know that swap deals are rare in football, but we had agreed to include Keylor Navas in the De Gea deal that fell through due to the fax machine. Courtois has shown to be a fantastic goalkeeper, and easily the best GK in PL if De Gea leaves. If we get around 50 mill plus Courtois for De Gea, it will be a decent deal for us.

Bailly: No need for replacement, as we have too many CBs already. However, we should get rid of both Bailly and Rojo and bring in a world class CB. Koulibaly and Skriniar would be fantastic options to play alongside Lindelöf.

Valencia: No need for replacement, as he hasn't played this year. Wan-Bissaka would be the perfect option for us at RB, with Dalot as backup and Young as backup for Shaw at LB.

Herrera: I would love to see us bring in Rabiot, as he has a lot higher potential than Herrera. Much better than Herrera with the ball, but lacks the intensity of Herrera defensively. However, I think he would suit better than Herrera as a partner to Pogba in 433.

Pogba: I hope we replace him with a proper nr. 10 rather than a new free-roaming midfielder, and change formation to 4231. Dybala would be an extremely good option, possibly also Coutinho. Eriksen would be very interesting as he comes into his last contract year, while Nabil Fekir might be a more realistic option.

Sanchez/Mata: No need for replacement, as we have Rashford, Martial and Lingard that can all play as left wingers. This leaves the need for a new RW, where we should go all out for Sancho.

Lukaku: Actually a player that isn't too easy to replace, even though he gets a lot of stick. Timo Werner has 1 year left of his Leipzig contract and will probably be sold, but while he is a very good striker he is maybe too similar to Rashford and Martial. I would love to see Luka Jovic here, as he looks really good in Bundesliga and has a combination of mobility, power and an eye for goal.

If all players are sold and replaced, we will have the following (totally unrealistic) XI:
Courtois
Wan Bissaka - Koulibaly - Lindelöf - Shaw
Rabiot - Fred
Sancho - Coutinho - Rashford
Jovic

If we lose Pogba we need to sign two CMs to replace him.

I take it you haven’t been watching Bayern this season... Sanches has been good this season. You know Serge Gnabry was “out of his depth” at West Brom aswell, right? You know Solskjær, our current manager was “out of his depth” at Cardiff, right?

Solskjær would get the best out of Sanches and Zaha and honestly I think Sanches has massive potential. He’s still only 21 so why you’re so quick to write him off when he’s not even in his prime yet is beyond me.

If Pogba leaves, what can we do about it? Neves is one of the best CMs in the league. He would walk into any starting 11 in the Prem. He’s a priority signing for me this summer. Sanches just looks like a United player to me. He’s very similar in terms of style to Pogba.

nah, I’m just finished watching Bayern this season. You know he was their player of the month for September right?
Wow Bayern’s player of the month for September ????? Get this lad in ASAP

In an ideal world :-

De Gea - Oblak
Valencia - Semedo
Darmian - Sessegnon
Rojo - No replacement needed
Bailly - Varane / Koulibaly
Fellaini - No replacement needed
Pereria - No replacement needed
Pogba - Kroos / Saul
Herrera - NDombele
Mata - Brooks
Lukaku - Greenwood (Promote)

If only we could blow this squad up & rebuild...

DDG - Oblak
Darmian + Valencia - Lala / Atal / Sarr / Meunier
Bailly - Koulibaly / Izzo / Pezzella
Jones - Maguire
Rojo - Telles / Tierney / F. Mendy
Herrera - Partey
Matic - Rodrigo
Fred - Rabiot
TFM + Pereira - Cyprien / Jordan / Veretout / Rongier
Pogba - B. Fernandes / Eriksen
Mata - Sancho
Sanchez - Pepe / Suso / Fekir
Lukaku + Wilson - Milik / Icardi / Jovic / Mitrovic

Would Donnarumma be a good signing for us? I've never seen him play but someone I know seems to think he's gonna be amongst the very best.
He's huge with great reflexes and can use his feet a bit. He was born to be a legend.

Assuming these players leaving..

De Gea -- Romero and Henderson. If Dean turns out to be so bad for long term, then difficult it may be just try get Donnarumma.
Bailly -- Koulibaly
Rojo -- Tuanzebe
Valencia&Darmian -- Dalot and Tuanzebe for RB. Young should just be a FB cover.
Herrera -- Rabiot is going to be free maybe, why not. Fred and McT to make it a competition of places.
Pogba -- Kai Havertz. And Pereira.
Mata -- Dybala, with CR7 spearheading Juve's attack, maybe he'll get frustrated.
Sanchez -- Martial, Chong, and possibly new young right winger (Ole sounds like there is a strong target already and they're working to get him this summer? no idea but I haven't seen how the popular caf's transfer targets play).
Lukaku -- Rashford, Martial and Greenwood.

I like Meunier but then I'm fed up of signing these old players who turned out to quickly becoming so bad, so inconsistent, just doesn't fit well, getting injury prone and tend to be too slow. Prefer give the chances to our young players who can only get better, them having inconsistent performances are expected and tolerable. Koulibaly seems to be still fast and fit with impressive injury resistance, I think he can go on for a lot longer so likely similar to CR7 and Zlatan pre-injury, they're exceptions to the rule.

Basically just 5 -- Koulibaly, Rabiot, Havertz, Dybala and a new RW.
Maybe +1 GK. The rest are free from our youth and squad.

Romero
Dalot -- Koulibaly -- Lindelof -- Shaw
McTominay
Havertz -- Rabiot
Dybala
Rashford -- Martial

Subs: Greenwood

 Dybala as #10 and both Havertz and Rabiot as dual #8 and #6 hybrid providing the creativity of attacks behind for Rashford and Martial to finish. Role of the #6 McT is only to sit and cover the defence. Doubt any good DMF at the right age and better quality on the market this summer and we have plenty already that can concentrate fine on defending and sitting. That's just the main system imo. In some games, using 4-3-3 may be better alternative tactical option.

Then again, I'm not desperate we should win the league back next season. Just have a go at cups and maybe EL for that season. League and CL is a BIG maybe and BIG doubt. With many of our players seemingly leaving and newer players soon joining, one season is enough to gel, understand players and fix things. Season 2020/21 is the season we should be ready to win the league title back or at least strong enough convincingly.

If he’s doing so well now then why would Bayern sell him?
