Ah, apologies. Very real concern. I suppose that is the job of Mr Moyes to ensure his man is properly motivated.

The stand you are describing should have been taken in the summer just gone. One look at what's gone on on the football pitch this season will tell you that losing Rooney half way through the season is not an option worth considering.
I agree and if Fergie had stayed then I am sure it would have been that way. The change of manager did put a different spin on things and I can also understand why Moyes has dealt with it in this way but the longer it goes on without a resolution, the worse position the club will be in.
Let's hope that Rooney is not just playing for a bumper new contract.
Means paying off a 5 year contract though, if he doesn't ask for a transfer.Doesn't matter. Give him a 5 year contract, and then sell him the moment he creates ruckus again.
*willing to him give him one last chance.

I hope we tie Lingard to a long-term deal, if only to add value, although I do think he can have a role in some capacity here. The other expiring contracts this summer aren't a worry, as we can activate Carrick's additional year at any and we simply have to assess Falcao over the course of the loan and decide if he's worth the huge outlay later on.
The following summer is slightly concerning though. We've barely heard a whisper about extending de Gea's contract, which is imperative and ideally, young players like Rafael, Jones and Smalling would have more years remaining on their contracts.
Hopefully we can follow City's lead and secure many of our key players on long-term deals like they have this season.
I'd agree with this. DDG and Jones should be given new contracts as soon as possible. Lock them down. The other three can wait a bit, let them prove themselves in the next 6 months before we extend them.Ye not much to worry about for next summer - I'd say that DDG and Jones are priorities to get on new contract whereas Rafael, Smalling and Evans are probably playing for new contracts - that is as much a question of keeping fit as ability
Hopefully not..I don't think him and Blind can play together. Young is another one, had a good season, but was shocking for 4 years before this.Just the Daily Mail but hopefully true

If he plays for us next season then it would be his 10th season. What a signing!!!!
4-2-3-1 systemHopefully not..I don't think him and Blind can play together. Young is another one, had a good season, but was shocking for 4 years before this.
