Nice coat.
Looks a bit shit and Bane doesn't look particularly 'hard' (ooooo matron). Will be interesting to see how he fits in with Nolan's 'grounded' Batman.
The mouth thing's a bit gay. I don't know enough about Bane to know why he needs it though. What is it?

What is he standing on in the first pic?
He needs to inject a certain venom into himself every few hours. It's not done (with a wierd gimp mask) like that in the comics, but i'd bet it's something to do with that.
Batmobile.
He's a big unit, that Bane fella.

Must be one of the prototypes. If you remember it was camo in the first film when he takes it for a spin in the underground garage and then asks Freeman if it comes in black.
I was sort of expecting the Batmobile to be a proper Batmobile this time around...Going with the theme of these films being the beginning of Batman and all, and the tumbler being a prototype, which was then destroyed in TDK, leaving it open for the introduction of a second, proper Batmobile type thing...guess not. The tumbler works far better in Nolan's world than a shiny black Alien penis though I suppose.

This one isn't the beginning of the Batman anymore. It's more about the breaking of the Batman. The tumbletank thing came from the dark knight returns by Frank Milller. Didn't that guy in the second one get the plans and copies of them to black mail Wayne with.
Bane is a mercernary in it. His character is more military in the film than the criminal in the comics.
Yeah...It would be a good little twist (of sorts) if this was actually Bane's tumbler. Presumably Batman's semi-retired at this point. So he'd have to come back, with a new, shiny Alien penis Batmobile...After an extensive montage set to Eye of The Tiger of course.

They should have cast Kane from the WWE. He was absolutely adequate in 'See No Evil.'
I think this version of Bane may be more like the leader of the mutants in the dark knight returns as opposed to the Mexican wrestler of the comics, the former made threats direct to camara and the story would fit well with the idea of the city falling apart
As silly as it sounds in a Batman movie, I doubt Nolan's Bane will be over the top or cartoonish in terms of physical appearance.
It's a mixture of the two, also include 'legacy' and 'son of the demon' storylines. Which if you know the comics will have totally ruined the film for you.
Edit: Oh yeah and 'Knightfall'.
Doing a bit more research around the internets it appears there were actually several tumblers in this scene. So yeah, they're probably stolen from Wayne Enterprises or something similar.
I love how in that movie you can actually spot the moment where the writers went "crap, we need to get a story in here somewhere." (It's the bit where the old woman is revealed to be Kane's mum).
Can't really say what I'd like Bane to look like, as I don't really pay that much attention to the comics. I know the backstories of the characters (through spending far too much time on Wikipedia), but I couldn't say which comic book Bane the movies one should be based on, or that sort of thing.

I don't know why people keep doubting Nolan anyway. He hasn't made a mistake so far imo.

Seems like the 'Knightfall' influence could be true from those riot scenes.
I'm thinking that the Bane we are seeing there is from the start of the film, I think 'bigger' Bane will come later on.
He looks really small though. Batman is 6'2, Bane is supposed to be 6'7 without his venom. I like Tom Hardy but a 5'10 actor playing a giant is a bit weird even though they can always add height with special shoes and spec effects.

True, he does look pretty small, but who knows how the fight scenes are being filmed. I'd agree & say the special effects team might be working on Bane later on.
