Well done at entirely missing the point.
Shall we keep giving contracts to other players who become permanently injured as well, just keep them all happy on the bench together costing us a fortune? Ya know, because we are a ‘multi million company’.
I wonder why not a single other club in Europe operates that way? Hmmm
Also if I’m permanently out of work I don’t get to keep my job because of labour laws, wages are reduced and your laid off if your not fit for purpose in the role.
right back at ya. Yes the contract was comical, but I was referring to:
I remember a story Keane ripped into two players he was managing (can’t remember where) becuase they were on the bench injured and chatting and laughing, I can imagine it’s the same sort of feeling that irks Rio.
Keano/Rio/random caf members would be morons if they thought an injured player has to wear a long face face for the duration of the injury.
Plenty of developed countries require an employer to continue paying a significant percentage of wages for a significant period of time when an employee is unable to work for reasons not even related to the job.
I'm assuming Jones' injuries are related to his line of work. I don't think he's stubbing his toe on the bed drawer he forgot to close to properly every week. It'd be silly if a company could just stop paying you while you're under contract because you got injured doing what they pay you for.
