"If I'm wrong with what I said, you prove it." I don't think that's how it works Pep.
As long as he continues to be heavily involved in financial doping it's hard to argue a case where he's one of the best managers that's ever lived.
Most expensive squad in PL history and they lost to Spurs missing their best player.
Especially when he talked about 'youth' and bringing players from the academy.Sad position to be in. Cant do it without spending on the one hand.
Level of spending renders any success meaningless on the other.
The media when dealing City most of the time is very confusing and are clearly being told not to bring the discussion into their ownership up what so ever.Especially when he talked about 'youth' and bringing players from the academy.
Sky deserve to be pulled up for normalising this big spending/chequebook madness in the PL.

When you see the reaction over Chalobah’s goal at the weekend, you can see how much more it means. It gives the club heart and soul and even Chelsea can manage it.
City just keep Foden around as their trinket and have no intention of promoting anyone else or giving a young player a chance.
They have no soul, as artificial as it comes, and if they spend on Kane now, it just makes it all more meaningless than it already was.
It’s sad for the league.
The great thing about the media though is they are like a pack of hyenas once things turn, Pep broke from Barca pressure/politics and if the media start getting reactions out of him, their allegiances will go out the window in the hunt for drama. If they drop a few more points, expect his weird brow scratch twitch to return. The media when dealing City most of the time is very confusing and are clearly being told not to bring the discussion into their ownership up what so ever.

Basically Mancini & pellegrini deserve all the credit. Pep Guardiola is my idol. It's a sign of poor recruitment ability when you have players like Danny Ings going for £30m and you instead hold out for Harry Kane for £150m.
Kane is a better overall player but Ings can finish and has decent all round play, he'd suit that City side very well especially since they have no proper striker now that Aguero's left.
SAF would sign the likes of Vidic and Evra for cheap too, but every decent Pep signing has to be £50m+. It's funny though that despite all the money spent, the best players Pep has and had previously were the ones signed before him - the likes of KDB, Fernandinho and Sterling, and Kompany, Aguero, David Silva before them.

Very much sounds like he has been briefed to push the net spend whilst they go crazy right now, amidst this premier League investigation. On the overlap fan meet they did, Neville points out that it looks like City are going to throw the money around this window as they arn't confident with not recieving repercussion.

You'd be surprised
If city fail to get Kane, are they in trouble? I don’t see who their alternative is.
I honestly think they would be taking a huge risk if they fail to get Kane. You simply can’t survive a whole season without a decent striker.
Last season was a really strange one which I don’t think they could repeat using the false 9 system. You would not expect Gundogan to be one of the leading scorers in the league again. Also, Bernardo played a large chunk of the season as their false 9. He looks like he’s on his way out.
I just don’t see what their alternative solution is. Today was an example of them coming short because of having no striker. They created enough chances to win the game which someone like Kane would have scored.

Backhanders straight from the state of Abu Dhabi - media washingNot a single mention on MotD2 tonight. Not one single mention. BBC must be raking in some serious cash, along with everyone else (Sky, FA, PL, etc).
Abu Dhabi PR department working overtime. Seems like everyone's on retainer. Not a single mention on MotD2 tonight. Not one single mention. BBC must be raking in some serious cash, along with everyone else (Sky, FA, PL, etc).
Ermmmm, shall we just ignore they had one of the greatest strikers in the premier league ever then? What are you smoking buddy? They've not had a proper striker for years now and they've still been very successful.
Name one. These clubs have massive scouting networks. Surely somewhere in all of European football there is a player of some sort who is a decent striker. Does it really have to be Kane or nothing?
Name one.
Plenty of controversy with him, but he still has a lot of fans.Is Jesus that bad?
