Rescinded his contract with Besiktas and there's a very good chance he goes to a top club in January after this weird time in Turkey.

He's 35 (36 in February) but still very good, had a very poor relationship with Mourinho but maybe a good short term option for United? He'd walk into the team.

He would not walk into the team, certainly not under a manager who had half a brain. He is finished. He wouldn't be able to cope with the pace of the game. Plus he is mental and a diver. Don't want him anywhere near the club

In a lot of ways pepe would be the perfect cherry on this particular united cake.

A rotten, smelly, crusty cherry on a giant pus filled shitcake of a team

Actually that's a bit harsh

Horrible shit of a player, no doubt he was a top defender but I can’t stand the sight of him. Also he would be a complete liability in England.

Finished? He's one of the best centrebacks in the world still, would definitely be your best centreback. He might be 35 but he's still faster than most your centrebacks too, perfectly capable to deal with the pace of the game.

He's calmed down a lot as he got older too. Still dives often but all the stupid and aggressive tackles aren't a part of his game. It's a shame people still can't look past his reputation.

I'd take him. Better than Jones. Has matured into a slightly less cnuty version of himself, although still a serious cnut.

One of the most odious players I've ever had the displeasure to watch on a football pitch.

There's a limit to who I'm willing to accept as a Manchester United player and Pepe dived right past it.

@Peyroteo makes no sense because he and Mourinho hate each other, but it is laughable to read some posts labeling him as shit when you have Smallings and Jones. Actually outside the football pitch he is a great guy, but yeah wouldn't make sense. If anything he is a underrated player because he didn't played on the overrated Premier League.

That’s a bit much, if he was one of the best centre backs in the world he wouldn’t be in Turkey. You make his rep sould like a few badly timed tackles, he is a shite.

And who cares what you say? Do you know him from any place? No. Then move on.

If you can’t acccept opinions on a football forum, I don’t think you should be on one. Do you know him? Why should anyone care what you say? The vast majority of posters so far have agreed.

His relationship with Mourinho is the only reason why I don't think it will happen, can see him going to Italy instead.

I don't think they hate eachother though, it wasn't anything personal. Mourinho just prefered Varane and Pepe was pissed for not playing which is normal. It's possible that they work it out. Would be a good short term move for United imho.

We need a complete reboot. It's not like we are fighting for anything so whats a short-term option going to do for us? We should pass.

Believe me they don't like each other I know what I am saying. Regarding the rest is like I said he will always be underapreciated because he isn't a fashionable guy, but I actuallly know a guy who worked inside the Portuguese Football Federation who says he is by far the nicest player on the NT. Not even going to bother dismisssing he wouldn't play in England where William Fecking Boly looks a football player.

He's in Turkey because of the money, not because there weren't top teams interested.

He's stopped being a scumbag years ago, he's matured and became a more intelligent and less aggressive defender. Still good for winding up the opposition often but he doesn't take it too far anymore which is what you want.

Would rather take Gary Cahill until the end of the season.

When Mourinho left Madrid Pepe was one of many players who had a bad relation with him. Tbf he only turned against him because Mourinho opted for Varane instead Pepe @Adisa

Well if he was such a nice guy he should have honoured a contract that he signed instead of buying himself out of it and not seeing it through. Basically he chose money over football. I don’t think he is underrated, I think he is in the top defenders of his generation but he had an absolute horrible streak, it wasn’t even a provoked one, he just seemed to like being how he was. We all know the YouTube vids and someone will post some sooner or later.

Tbh while it wouldn't make sense for United I do wonder where will he go. Certaily will not return to Porto with Militão or Felipe there.

I did laugh my bollocks off that time he kicked crap out of someone for what he thought was diving. If that makes me a bad person then so be it, but I'll always have that at least.

Still, no thanks. Maybe West Ham United rather than Manchester? There's that thread isn't there, "players West Ham will sign one day" or similar? It's basically a rag-tag bunch of misfits , rejects and players past their best. Maybe he could go there. Worked with Pellegrini before too.

I'd rather drag my balls through 10 miles of broken glass-shards than see Pepe at the club.

He would be a terrible signing for you guys.

Sporting and experience wise, yes. Behaviour on the pitch wise, no. Pepe is/was a massive cnut to be fair, but a great defender too.

Would be cool though if some caftards are secretly football coaches and players.
I am not seriously but I do have friends who work on youth football or others who do have some insides about football players outside the pitch. Agents know nothing but wouldn't be surprised Gestifute wouldn't have his employees around football forums bashing Messi
