Pedro Guilherme Abreu dos Santos

Looks impressive from those clips, and as alluded to before, seems to be stylistic similar to Diego Costa. The centre forward play and hold up work in that clip does stand out given his age.

It's refreshing to see us linked to some new players. From the video, it looks like he's definitely worth a punt. He won't cost too much either as he's just coming back from injury.

This is the type of signing we need to make and need it to come off in our current predicament.

Would've been at Real Madrid if he hadn't got injured according to Brazilian media.

And for 20m so they say.

There's an awful lot of the number '40' in those tweets in Portuguese. And one 25.

I have to say, I'm starting to get quite excited about our transfer window now. We're actually linked to a lot more interesting players, than I ever thought we would be. This lad included. Maybe this committee style is starting to work?

I'm weary as I am sure the same outlet linked us with Jesus, then he went to City

Edited the thread title. I thought we were linked with Chelsea Pedro for some reason.

He looks like a proper Madrid sale in a few years. Hope we sign him. Anything at this point

The news being reported via people translating is that we're gonna negotiate for him once the clubs Presidential elections have been concluded, which makes sense.

I clicked on the article and used Google translate to read the English version.
It doesn't say that we are going to negotiate for him. It just says he's on our radar. Other clubs are also watching him, including Inter and Atalanta of late. Bordeux are also admirers. The club won't entertain any potential offers from clubs before election.

He was closest initially to Real before injury. All it says about Man Utd is that he's on our radar. This may well be a reliable outlet but I don't think they are delivering news that suggests we are going to make an offer.

I like how we are doing business this window, its shrewd. We are stocking up the squad, buying cheaper, younger prospects in positions where talent already exists but requires competition in the squad. My belief is the big money will go to positions that we have the most deficiencies, centre back, right back, and right wing/ attacking midfielder. If we get this guy, we would be able to sell lukaku and spend more elsewhere.

We haven't really bought anyone yet. Granted its early days but one or two transfers should be quick business.

Have I missed something? Who have we signed thus far?

I would be amazed if United bought a young striker given Solskjaer's love for Rashford and Greenwood being so close to breaking into the first team squad.

I reckon Solskjaer, for all his "Rashys", is still concerned about his own neck being on the line when Rashford inevitably fails to score or underperforms. But I think we will buy a striker like this guy only if we are sure Lukaku is leaving, which would be pretty realistic if Conte is appointed at Inter.

This guy's hold up play looks immense. Would be exactly what we need with a new RW and Rashford/Martial playing off him. Good in the air and obviously scores his goals.

Different qualities on show in this striker though surely? And remember Solskjaer was literally schooled under Ferguson when Fergie's best teams had 4 top quality strikers who he could call on at any one time. At least during the golden years. For all that he likes Rashford and is keen to praise his talent he must have seen enough the last few months to realise that he's not gonna last very long in his dream job if he's gonna put his faith in Rashford and an unproven Greenwood, regardless of their potential.

That was an impressive youtube vid. He looks really good. Sign him up!

He actually looks like the Brazilian Harry Kane. Underbite and all.

Let's hope he's as good as a previous player we signed after an ACL repair.

I'd love another striker as deadly as RVN

He looks great until you realise that every pass he made in the video went about 10 metres away from his own teammate.

Let's wait until we actually make some singings before commending our transfer activity.

It seemed pretty clear to me last season that Rashford is a guaranteed starter under Solskjaer as a striker. Greenwood is in the group of young players like Chong and Gomes who train regularly with the first team and is in contention for a larger role in the squad. He might not get that next season but it will come sooner or later. If United were to buy a striker this summer I would expect it to be a player at a different stage in his career to those two, someone who has been around the block, a proven goal scorer, possibly someone who wouldn't need to adapt to the premier league. I think bringing someone like Josh King or Hernandez back to United would appeal to Solskjaer, while Woodward would no doubt love to sign Cavani or some other old superstar. A relatively inexperienced forward who has only just recovered from a serious injury and would have to adapt to a new country and much higher standard of football would be a surprising signing.

That said United have pretty much constantly surprised me with their decisions since Ferguson retired so me thinking it would be a surprising move probably means it's more likely to happen that not.

That was one of the more entertaining youtube compilations I have seen, kid's got the chest control of Mark Hughes and maybe even then some. Those defenders though

Am I missing something? As far as I know, the only business we've done so far this window is lose Ander Herrera to PSG on a free. Shrewd indeed.

Now that is a footballer! Like a mad scientist spliced the DNA of Fellaini and Andy Carrol. Sign him.

Potentially signing this lad really excites me, a Brazilian 9 relatively unknown but with seemingly strong reviews, lets get it done Woody!

YouTube video looks good!
