If he’s available for around the same or less that Lukaku then surely we should go in for Dybala ? As long as Ronaldo is at Juve then Dybala will never be the main man and he’d be behind Mbappe at PSG whereas here he’d be the main man alongside his friend Pogba.

No, because footballers aren't pieces you just move around. He would be moving country, coming with enormous baggage of reputation and, frankly, underperformance, and it's not obvious where he'd fit in the team. Beyond all those things, it's unlikely he would be 100% about coming to a non-Champions League club playing somewhere as cold as Manchester.
 
I think he will go to PSG if he has the choice and I’d recommend he go. He would flop in England he’s too inconsistent and not quick enough. Would want too much time.
 
That seems like a ludicrously low price so I doubt it's true.

What baggage with regards to reputation and underperformance is that? There is a very obvious position for him in the formation used in pre-season so far.

Yep. 50 million is just to entice clubs.
If Juve have 3 clubs competing strongly for Dybala's signature they'll end up with alot more than 50 million.

This is the only valid objection you have actually named (which in itself is enough). The rest are just a bunch of things you added to emphasise a point that there is apparently a list of reasons to not pursue him in particular, but aren’t really based on much.
 
Tactically I think he's a decent fit now, as we badly need someone capable of coming short to collect the ball with that not being the strength of any of our attackers really.

And even though he's wasted as a wide player he'd still be an upgrade for us on the right when we play 4-3-3, we could even let him play Messi's current role (playmaking and free tucking in from the right) basically:

-----------------McTominay------------
with the right-sided shuttler (Rakitic's job at Barca) being either Pereira, Fred, Bruno if we do sign him or another midfielder if we are buying someone else there, and Wan-Bissaka seems up to the incredible amount of running he'd be asked to do as a result out wide.

as a front 3 makes a lot of sense even if it lacks a proper winger, since Rashford can look to score goals from a left-sided striker spot and Dybala can help the midfield 3 (who might all have to be players not currently on the team considering Pogba may leave and nobody else is an obvious starter 3 years from now) try to dominate possession and be a sort of floating 10 starting from wider.

Anyone shouting for Dybala hasn't really ever watched him . He is way to slow and inconsistent and we already are stacked with inconsistent players
 
Considering we are playing 4231 he’d be an upgrade on Mata for sure.
 
Dybala in that tucked in RW role sounds sensible in the abstract but he was terrible last year for Juve when played in that position. One goal and one assist in 13 matches and real struggles to influence the play. I think the biggest issue is that he isn’t really much of a dribbler or one to get behind the defense. His game is about intelligent movement, finding pockets of space, and finishing. He needs to play centrally for those qualities to shine through.

Even if you’re willing to gamble on him getting better on the wing, I think it would be difficult to sell him on a new project in which that would be his role.

Agreed. I would give Gomes an opportunity as CAM, but if we are going to sign a player, then there are a lot of options like Fernandes, Havertz, Maddison, Eriksen, Dybala, etc. All of them miles better than Mata/Lingard behind the striker.

Dybala would work best in the CR7-Role. He should move to another club, where he can play as a Second Striker. I don´t see him as replacement for Mata. The "10" creates chances, Dybala and a mainstriker should finish those.

Well it would mean no Messi either to be fair. I’m still yet to see anything real that suggests we are actively trying to sign Fernandes.

Same here, lots of links from unreliable media outlets but the only reliable journalist who's said anything said that we're interested, but not actively pursuing.

For 50m Juve will send an autographed tshirt to PSG. Besides the ridiculous tweet, I doubt Juve will deal with Leonardo any time soon after the stunt he pulled off last year on Higuain reneging a deal and putting the player in a very difficult spot that contributed to his bad season and depreciation. Leonardo is a lucky joker

This is true and to be honest I’m not a big fan of signing Fernandes but given how we’ve been playing in pre- season I would think either would be taking Lingards spot.

His stats last season speak of underperformance to me, and there's a reason he's been shunted around, he hasn't become a dominant figure. A lot of players pick clubs further south, and different cultures, to England, and our record with south Americans ain't great.
 
Perfect no10/second striker/fakse right winger for our formation. But of course, no chance that we will even try to buy him
 
Get rid of Rom and bring in Dybala. Too good to happen to us.
 
Sometimes I appreciate football fans who start coming up with their lineups having the latest guy we're linked to and then try to justify how amazing their lineup is. :lol:
 
If Dybala can be got for £70-£80 million and we get £75 million for Lukaku we’ve actually done an unbelievable piece of business for once, as a false 9 flanked by Martial and Rashford we could see a fantastic trip up top potentially.
