Are we sure about this guy? His situation doesn't remind anyone of Di Maria?

Also, I want to know why they are so keen to offload him. I swear Sarri would be more inclined to use a player with his technical attributes. It doesn't make sense.

Probably not going to happen anywayso don't worry about it.

He just doesn’t get me excited. Not particularly quick. No right foot and he’s Argentinian. When’s the last time we had a South American excel at United?

If he comes i’ll back him 100% but for me he’s no better then Gomes.

He's at least mixed so not 100% Argentinian which might lift the curse:D He's got Polish and Italian as well.

I'm not excited by him either. Would rather sell Lukaku for cash and use the funds to buy someone for midfield.

He's also a sulky bastard from what I've seen so he better make up for that with some good end product if he ends up here.

Just waiting for City to gazump this one.

Tomorrow’s headlines

‘Dybala to City, Paulo dumps United for rivals’

They are in fact in touch with Juve atm?

More likely PSG will tap him up as they’ve got to replace Neymar - remember it’s only the UK transfer market that shuts this week - I reckon if they make a move then the swap deal won’t happen this week - why we’ve given the Prem such a disadvantage in transfer timescales this summer is a joke

He has good acceleration.

You don't have to be quick to be a great footballer.

He's not useless with his right foot.

What does it matter that he's Argentinean? Heinze had good seasons for us. Tevez was pretty good his 1st season too.

Valencia is from South America btw.

“ We ShOuLdIn’T gEt DyBaLa He’S nOt A fIt ”

What was Ronaldo’s stats like for that same season? How dare they go 1on1 with the great one.

Nope, no one, hasn't been brought up.
Oh chill, I haven't had time to read the whole thread. Everything I've seen so far, no one seems too worried that's why I'm asking:)

Why so insecure?

I’m not insecure. I honestly don’t care :)

Until the current owners bog off and leave I can’t see the current malaise at the club passing.

I’m mildly excited at the upcoming season, I think Ole has the ship pointing in the right direction. I think we are a couple midfielders short and Pogba will probably pog off in the next 12 months so in reality that’s three.

I just feel the real issue is upstairs and I can’t do sh1t about that other than not spend a penny on the club...

You do Understand this is all happening because they want Lukaku and have limited money to buy him out right.

So what the hell does Neymar have to do with Lukaku?

Rafael, Valencia, Heinze and Tevez were all good for Utd.

Yes, Heinze and Tevez left in bad circumstances but there performances whilst here were good.

Not signing a player based on nationality would be utterly stupid.

Are you really comparing Dybala with Angel Gomes?

This might be wrapped up on deadline day if those rumors about image rights were true.

Hopefully sooner though.

You went too far mate

But you DO care? Quick look in your posting history and you are also being insecure about Maguire. It's OK, calm down. There are plenty of insecure transfer muppets every summer on here who will concoct doom scenarios just because they are scared to believe and afraid to be wrong thus plunging into eternal darkness where a pool of shit awaits them. Here, have a marshmallow.

It’s been a pretty sad transfer season for us. We have had time and opportunity to repair some of the holes but it looks like the club has no real interest.

Dybala/Maguire etc are not coming nor were they ever. Pure smoke and mirrors so they can say ‘we tried’ or whatever excuse is pulled from their arses.

I genuinely feel the ownership no longer care about the football side unless it affects business.

They need to go or we will be mid table regulars before we know it.

Load of balls,

There is nothing in this Dybala to United thing. I don’t know why people waste their breath. In a weeks time the excuses from management will come. This is all carefully scripted to suggest we tried to get big players but could not quite make it.

Oh and that Maguire fella, same with him.

We will probably sign some Eastern European kid for 10 million on deadline day.

United are no longer a big club, the owners have have successfully seen to that. We have money but no will to use it wisely. Top players are not stupid, they don’t come here for a reason....

I’ll say I was wrong and hopefully enjoy the season a bit more.

And beleive me I’d really love to be wrong come deadline day

Expand on the Di Maria part

There are parallels with Di Maria sure but we can't say they are exactly the same, I would be willing to risk it.

And I think the swap is more about Juve balancing their books more than anything else. This won't be a swap per se. They will sell us Dybala for £80m and we will sell them Lukaku for £80m but they will then spread it across 5 years in their finances so it will help them with FFP without actually affecting us.

Sorry but that is ridiculous

Di Maria was forced out remember? Came here and hated it. Was never 100% bothered about us. Not sure I would take another risk like that in our delicate position at the moment. Do need total commitment in my opinion.

I hope he comes here wanting to prove Juve wrong or something, but I remain sceptical.

You guys realize you can play well despite not wanting to be here? It's called professionalism.

I get they need to balance their books but it just seems odd they would be willing to let go of him. Well I guess whatever suits them.

Which we're taking a chance he'll be once he's here... there's nothing certain about it under the circumstances.

We'll wait and see.

Gomes better than Dybala

Him and mandzukic by recent reports, guess they want to cut the wage bill too!

I think by swapping him they get a replacement in as well.

Do some of you lot see Di Maria smiling back at you when you look in the mirror? Or when you sit down in your car you see him sitting in the passenger seat?

I swear, he’s given a lot of you some proper PTSD, to the point where any player from Argentina automatically becomes Di Maria.

I think its more about the fact a lot of United fans including me was very happy when we got him and it's clear to see he was gonna be a brilliant addition. Even though it was clear to us aswel that he wanted to go to PSG so he has that in mind all season, he wasn't playing for us, he was playing to show PSG. Now I kinda have the same vibe about dybala. I hope I'm wrong.

Was only teasing, Di Maria has been mentioned to death over the last 161 pages. Di Maria wanted PSG after being forced out of Madrid, when he joined he was brilliant but we had the wrong manager at the time. Then some scouser broke into his house and that was the end of that. When Dybala arrives we will have been security at his home for him, he can shack up with Rojo who can look after him, about all hes good for at United.

My brother lives in Italy he sent a text and said he was listening to the radio some sports station. They reckon dybala has agreed to the deal it's his image right and agent fees that are holding up any deal atm
