If he's not keen on leaving I don't want him. We don't want players at the club who don't really want to be here. Been here too many times.

Transfer muppets on here getting giddy and forget our tragic track record with this type of player.

Spurs, arsenal and Chelsea would all have a weaker back line than us. If we get Maguire in, I'm very confident of achieving top 4, even if the football is dire.

Haha. You've convinced me with final part of your second sentence!

Unbelievable that some on here are trying to convince themselves that this is a bad move. So because Di Maria and Sanchez didn’t work out, we avoid signing a player of similar profile again!? Ridiculous logic. I suppose Barca won’t ever sign a Brazilian again since Coutinho has been a flop.

Yeah I was just asking what happened last season. The answer I got was that he moved to RW. Hopefully we won't play him there then!

Yeah mate hopefully if Ole does what he says and plays a fluid interchanging front 3 it could work well with him being left footed, soon see mate

At the end the day I watch football to be entertained. And there has been nothing entertaining about United for too many years now. Dybala is a magician who I would be excited about watching play for us along with Pogba. Stick your Maguires.

If he wants to stay and fight for his place and is being pushed out that should be a huge red flag.

We don't want players here who don't really want to be.

I'd fecking choose Utd over Juve anyday. Who wants to play in the piss poor Seria A every week. Wtf is there to think about.

I'd say its more alarming he wants to go to PSG and chill.

Imagine last year somebody proposed a straight swap with Dybala and Lukaku? they'd have said you were crazier than Trump.

Di Maria has since said he didn't really want to leave Madrid and was pushed out.

We don't want anyone here who doesn't meant to be here. Rather give an academy player the game time.

If Dybala really wants it then fine but I'm not convinced in the slightest. In fact I don't think he will sign for us personally.

Same. He obviously knows Juve dont want him else why offer him to us yet he's trying to convince Sarri to let him carry on and probably content to be a benchwarmer. Dont want players of that mentality in the club. And yes, I also dont think this deal will happen, and if the above is really the case, I dont want it to happen either.

This will upset the Muppets because they are just so desperate for anything to happen.

Dybala would be leaving a Title Fav team and in the CL for a team not likely to finish top 3 and is in the Europa.

Of course he's not going to be chomping at the bit to come. Juve to United right now is a step down whether we like it or not.

I don't think he will come anyway.

Is it safe to say he flopped last season?

He’s primarily a second striker, he was shoehorned in on the right last season and while not awful he isn’t much less effective there, he doesn’t have the pace for an effective wideman in my opinion.

If the idea is to play him on the right then there’s no point signing him, would bring more questions than answers. He should play behind the striker or as the striker or not at all.

Agree with these. Loads of Juve fans on another footy forum I frequent all say the same thing. He's not a RW.

It crazes me that some people do not want this signing. It's not just the signing of a quality player, we're also getting rid of Lukaku who just isn't at the level that we require to progress forwards. It's addition by subtraction in this case. He can play multiple positions, ST, RW, CAM. Would also add that extra bit of finesse that we need so desperately in the final third. Now it's just down to Dybala to see if he actually wants to join.

Some are just too obsessed with young unestablished players like Longstaff or James. It's all well and good getting these players in but the reality is that we lack severe class in the number 10 and RW position which Dybala would bring. Getting in players like James surely makes sense but as one can clearly see they are raw. Very very raw and surely not ready yet to improve us right away. We need that though. Dybala could do that.

I have become alarmingly invested in this over the last 48 hours. It's going to hurt if it doesn't happen.. :nervous:

Who wants to play Rostov and FC Astana on Thursday nights and enjoy the grey skies of Manchester?

Let’s put a bit of perspective in this choice.

Elite players such as Dybala make it in the game because of their determination, drive and ambition. Which means he would be determined and ambitious enough to help get United back into the CL at the first time of asking, thus only being out of the CL for one year. United are not Wolves, we have a big chance of getting into the CL regardless of being in the EL this season.

I'd take a chance on him, it's not really working with Lukaku and I think Dybala has mord to offer from CAM or on the wing than Mata or Lingard. The only thing that concerns me is having another huge earner. If only we could shift Alexis too.

Let's be honest I don't think we'll be bringing out the big guns for those sort of matches. Save them for the latter stage.
