I suppose this is meant to be a Paul Scholes appreciation thread. In that case let me throw down the gauntlet. I think PS is the most all round naturally talented player at United. More so than Veron, Keane Becks or anyone else you can name. Without in any way wishing to denigrate the aforementioned luminaries of course!

Spot on. He's got such great natural skills, just look at the way he 'kills' the ball when he recieves a difficult pass. Then compare it to, say, Phil Neville, who seems to kinda struggle with every touch..

Manutd's best midfielder but not cut to be a striker. Thats all
 
Fans from other clubs seem to rate Scholes very highly, perhaps even more than the majority of United fans.

Shame really, and I've always had a feeling he's the most underrated player at the club...

Scholesy's one of my favorite players. He's tough, quick, he has great control, passes very well and he has superb awareness. Oh, and he's got just a bit of a shot :D .

Scholes has been underrated and underestimated because he has kept such a low profile. He has become even better in this season, rescued the match for us in countless occassions. I'd say he is one of the best all-rounded midfielder in the world. Every team will like such a player in their team and I'm happy that we are lucky to have him here.

Scholesy is total shite. We should sack him, 'cause he would be impossible to sell. Would'nt get anything for him, nobody would want a crap player like that in their team. :p

I agree tho that Scholes is one of the best players around. And then I'm not talking only about United but in the whole world. He's my favourite United player (don't know why really) and he's been our best player this season IMO.

He's scoring and creating goals. And he's got an excellent work rate. He's got an amazing shot and he very rarely gives the ball away. As close to the complete midfielder as you'll get.

Yep he is a great package: has the fight to win the ball, the balance, strength and skill to hold on to it, a terrific range of passing, nothing wasteful, adds zip to the midfield, and as was said 'a fox in the box' :) .

He's my player of the season for United so far. I don't think anyone has matched his productivity, also when the team was losing its way earlier in the season he was inspirational in reviving our confidence. Lets hope he keeps cracking them in, goals from midfield are key.
 
Paul Scholes is one of the reasons I never took to Andy Cole. Another being Sparky.

Anybody who knows football will say Scholesie is the best player in our team and the most talented player in England.He is one of the finest midfield players in the world...Even pitted against strong teams Scholes will take care of his
position as well as himself.

There are some average blokes here who are more popular cos of the monkey crap which sourrounds them rather than pure football skills...
.They are dangerous against weak
teams... plays well in one big match only once in two or three years..and has some many pigheads
appreciating them for nothing..

But Scholes is different.He will let his feet to do the talking.....

You might find this strange ,coming from a Gooner.....but I tend to agree with you....I think Paul Scholes is quality and because he is somewhat unassuming is sometimes overlooked against Beckham/Keane/Giggs/Veron/Rio etc.

However,from his point of view,I think he prefers the understated role...now you Mancs....tell me... you know him better than me...you see him play every week etc.....do you agree ??
