Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Nothing.....that's the whole point - we can assume. The fact is it's obtuse and yet you are still talking about it....It don't matter if you think it's pro this or pro that. It's the fact that people are talking about something they don't understand. It's promotion. You have United in the ad. You have Pogba in the ad. It's not meant to be obvious. It's not meant to hold your hand and say this is how it is. It's designed for the purpose of conversation........

How you or we interpret it - don't matter. It'll happen anyway/regardless. But during the ad, you'll see United and you'll see Pogba. Don't read the print. Do the maths...

It's bollocks that what it is, I would class myself as the average bod, and for me this has gone on too long now, the orgasmic climax should now have been reached, but alas the moment has passed, and I now find my mind drifting on to other things.

Are you listening Adidas....BORING!

The (done deal bullies) are out in force tonight!!! Picking on all the Nervous Nellies!!
What a kerfuffal !!

Done deal bullies ha ha ha

I agree but it's working for them ;) As annoying as this is, I would avoid this thread until early to mid next week. Gonna be a pain in the ass for a while yet

he is not a world class player yet. i think united are paying on expectations of him being a WC player in the future. he does have the tools and united have the cash. FFS 100m , i remember 1m for trev at forest and thought that was fecking mental.

Crikey you must be nearly as old as Johnnowhite

From what I understand the first tweet of Raiola(the "blablabla") was designed according to the Adidas ad ?, then perhaps the "journalists are parrots" is also related to another ad?
It seems obvious that he will sign for United but at this point he should publicly admit that he is about to sign , or give some clue .
I see all too impregnated of commercial interests and marketing

I posted this before but I see it as the truth behind all the blah blah blah is man Utd, the Utd crest is being revealed as the truth, and as someone else said, why would we have him in an advert with our crest when he's not in the Juventus one.

Well I hope you are right, as someone philosophically said to me at least it has got us talking, interpretation is everything I guess.

The point of the promo campaign is to deride the negativity from media and "anti-fans", and to tell players to do their talking on the pitch. I believe (though pure educated speculation) the blah over United crest is hitting back against the doubters who think United are past-it, and so on. It's not about his transfer, though I suppose is tangentially about the transfer due to the transfer still going on

Each "film" is a bespoke creation for each club to go along with their 3rd kit release. Pogba being in our film is as clear a sign as you can get he's signing for us. If he wasn't, he'd be in the fecking Juve film, wouldn't he. I'm going to make another educated guess here that Woody/adidas had hoped this would be tied up by now so they could have Pogba show off the 3rd kit along with its release, but it's dragged on too long due to the technicalities and Mino's cut.

Similar to the Martial transfer IMO, in that we are banking on his potential, the difference is that he has shown much more and is already very well known, a superstar. ANd most importantly.. a proper fecking midfielder, a top midfielder. So hard not to get excited about this.

ESPN reporting that a 95 million pound fee is agreed, with 20 million pound more for the agent.

Interesting tidbit...today, 95 million pound is the equivalent to about $125 million US...we sold Ronaldo for 80 million pound in '09 and at the time that was the equivalent to about $130 million US. So really, this isn't too bad of a fee, given the way the transfer market has been out of control recently.

Might be on the cards? So what you're still doubtful this is going to happen?

 Don't want to spoil the vibrant mood here but i am of the opinion that he is not required. I know i am in a minority since i can see the vote percentage.

Not really. Considering it comes to this juve/pogba/raiola or even us would have doused off the wholr thing if there wasnt an ounce of trutj in it.

There's nothing about rumors and allegedly wanting a player, but when there's numbers quoted and specific contracts details being mentioned it's definitely not a simplr 1+2=5.

If nothing happens as in no deals or no offer it'll be an emperor new clothes on a biblical proportion

I just hope, whatever happens, United benefit from it. After all, everyone on here wants the best for United. I don't disagree that United might be in for Pogba because of the Jose interview. But this Di Marzio character seems to know so much information and everyone believed him. Now the agent himself says that the UK and Italian media are bluffing so how can we all trust a journalist blindly? What makes him so trustworthy?

That adidas advert is all the evidence you need ffs, as well as the 4 most reliable journos in Italy confirming its done.

I am sorry for being bit thick, can you please point out the ad? I did see one of he ads which is about 20 seconds and there is a billboard with the United crest covered in white paint and the word BLAH on it. I thought the ad was about not believing the papers. The papers are all abut United signing Pogba. Not sure if i am missing something.

If you listened to any of the interviews Zlatan has done after he signed - you will see that he had offers from all over but, he had already decided on United. At least in that case it was clear Raiola was just trolling and not a reach to assuming he is doing the same with the couple of tweets we've had.

Railoa is the only one taking people from a ride with his tweets and some are jumping right on along side him. Think about it - he said nothing about Pogba in this or the blah blah tweet. It's an assumption being made as Raiola has other clients. As one tweet got posted - Balotelli (in England) possibly going to Italy .... you can't say for sure what deal he is talking about but, can assume. And that's his whole thing with his troll tweet - to get people talking when he is not really giving anything away. He know he can't say the deal is done until paperwork is signed but, he can still generate buzz by stating the opposite - which technically true due to the final paperwork needing signing.

Ok, i am not really a twitter person and don't follow this idiotic agent. It did not look like trolling but a hint of frustration about the media twisting the truth. But i hope for the sanity of redcafe, he does sign and if he does then, he goes on to become the world's best.

The strange sight of inevitably seeing Pogba back in red is only trumped by @zlatan_ish 's location change. It doesn't look right him not rubbing in the fact Juve have a superior midfield to us consisting of our Pog.

But what has he got to do with the significance of the advert and why it is hinting towards Pogba going to United?

All I see is Pogba reading a paper insinuating it's a load of shite. "Don't believe all the bla bla bla"

Then a poster with the United crest and 'Blah' plastered over it.

So, if anything, this hints to me that it's all a load of shit.

Personally, I think the deal is pretty much done, but the adidas ad has contributed nothing to my opinion.
This is pretty much where I am at as well. We don't know if the deal is done or not but that advert + what Riola tweeted in only trying to convey that the media is talking "blah" and we shouldn't believe them.

Adidas are very simply just milking the fans' attention. They would not be much good at marketing if they didn't.
I don't know about you, but that Adidas mucking around and cack-handed manipulation would make me want to buy Nike

Fair enough, I suppose if they're paying us £75 m a year then they're allowed this one... Just better make sure this isn't some elaborate hoax though!

Every club has had their full blah blah blah advertisement by Adidas released.

The only one left is our one, which I'm pretty sure is half of the Pogba one to be extended!

Have you all seen those adidas videos in their 'first never follows' marketing campaign? There's one for each of adidas' top clubs, with notable players from each team (Chelsea, Real, Bayern, Juve) featuring. There's no AC Milan video which suggests they might still be releasing them, but the only one they've got up for United is one featuring Pogba.

I know we saw it yesterday but it has a bit more context today as they've released the others. Maybe when he actually signs we'll get a full blown Pogba-United 'first never follows' video featuring the new kit.

AC Milan is on the official Adidas Football youtube channel:

i know , the world was flat.......................................

the first united kit i ever saw had a club crest on the front and a number on the back and that number wasn't yours. bestie wasn't the number 7 all the time.

I've had this feeling since I first saw the Juventuz ad and cross quecked it with the Juventuz forum since I don't speak Italian:

In the beginning of the Juventuz ad the Italian commentator mentions Pogba!

This is what the guys from Juventus came up with (they actually analysed and discussed the ad over a few pages starting at 1810):

Pogba worth all of this money? Is he the most overrated player of all-time?

That's what it says.

Dunno what to make out of this - adidas marketing department did a great job here, everybody is talking about this campaign!!

It doesn't and you are not thick.

I was thinking as you...but then i thought...Adidas would have to get consent from Manchester United to use the logo in their commercial right?

Adidas would give specific info...

Why would Manchester let them use the image in a marketing blitz if Pogba wasn't coming?

It logically makes zero sense if he's not coming here, and yet people want to write it off and say it doesn't mean anything. Utter madness.

I can't see any reason for the club to object to the ad nor anything else about the blah blah blah campaign.

I think we will sign Pogba anyway. I think the ad is fun messing around with the uncertainty but does not outright imply the deal is over the line. There are details to iron out.

umm what? it's still a load of dosh. ronaldo was WC and was a WPOTY at the time he was sold. it's 115m quid no two ways about it. it's a world record fee.

The Manchester United crest in the actual advert, Stormzy walking outside of Old Trafford wearing a United tracksuit top?

I'm genuinely surprised you don't see that as a sign.

Oh my god. If that is a sign for that the deal is done, then how about the United crest on the billboard with the word "blah" and Pogba reading the newspaper which says BLAH BLAH and then says don't believe everything the media says. What does that mean then?

It doesn't have to mean anything.....

An advert is like throwing mud. You want it to stick. In and of itself, it don't have to mean a god damn thing.

This summer? I don't think so - I believe we might get another defender though!

Next summer is another thing all together ;)

Bonucci

I want more Juventuz tears. Please Woody, make the Old Lady open her legs one more time this summer.

Watch the Juve one too, the Chelsea one, the Milan one, the Madrid one... Everyteam has one with their players in it, this is our one. The full video will be released when it's officially confirmed by United.

It will all make sense shortly my friend. Trust chief muppeter!

Hold on, isn't Raiola saying that the Press have got it wrong in their eagerness to beat each other to an announcement?
