The add implies he's NOT coming to United.

The blah blah blah is about him coming to Manchester.

It doesn't make sense...unless he's not coming.

That adidas advert makes literally no sense. It's like a splurge gun approach to tailored marketing - throw all the ingredients of a narrative into a bowl, throw the bowl at a wall and then just go "mneeeh..look...stuff!"

Isn't that the case for majority of today's digital art? :p

Is the announcement before the unveiling? If so, when would it happen? Tonight, even?
More likely tomorrow will be the official announcement from United but I'd expect somewhere like BBC to pick up on it before then.

Late though Skysports are to the party, it's massively reassuring to me that they're on it. The one thing that was always suspiciously absent in the Vidal saga was the predominant English media. Your Skys and your BBCs didn't touch it even when hundreds of outlets said it was a goer. This is different.
This is very true, and when they did speak/write based on their own sources, they had been briefed that United had not bid for Vidal. We never did bid for him. I believe his agent was pushing for a move, but we had too many concerns over his knee surgery and returning too quickly to play in the World Cup (where he was clearly hobbled by returning too early).

But isnt that a good thing? English journos are never reliable so the less they say the better.

Adidas ad makes no sense. Still it seems to serve our purpose and confirm the much awaited

I'm a 99% sure it's done dealio because of di Marzio etc., but people really misinterpret that adidas commercial video...
That video had to be done a long time ago so they couldn't even be sure. Also, I understand it as: don't believe the rumours (which were all about Pogback, ignoring Marca/AS)

Juve is part of Adidas too, pretty harsh
The customer is always right. The customer with 120m to spend is probably someone who could dictate smaller details.

Juve is rich, everybody's happy. What they do or did with the money is to their best of interest.

Adidas was definitely setting up for this advert.

"Don't believe what you read in the papers." Remember a certain big tittied "reporter" that tweeted that phrase along with a selfie of her and Pogba?

"Blah blah blah." Remember Raiola's tweet saying that exact thing?

It's not a coincidence, and it's not Adidas releasing this in reaction to those tweets, as the Pogba scenes in that video were not filmed in Miami. I guarantee you that Adidas paid that woman and Raiola to tweet those. As for the woman, it's not terribly difficult to get C list celebs to tweet things for a fee (a friend of mine has done it for a business he runs). And Raiola is the agent for one of their biggest stars, so it's not hard to see him involved.

Do you remember her name? I want to see what she's saying now as she has spent the whole summer basically saying PP is going to Madrid

The adidas ad means nothing. It should only gain some attention. I am pretty sure that they had/have no clue if Pogba comes or not. (And by the way, even if Pogba doesn't come, the ad it is not critizing United, but the bla bla bla media.)

Yeah, we're Adidas' biggest clients, there's absolutely no way it means anything other than Pogba to United.

I don't think Adidas would be so blatant in their ad unless the deal was 100% done. I'm completely sold. Can anyone come up with a good guess on what will be the total post count when this thread is closed? In just 1 day, this thread has got more than 2350 posts

Adidas give us such a lot of money, the least they deserve is the chance to get some serious marketing out of it - we've effectively let them announce the signing - golden

Cool. Will he have signed the contract by then, do you know, or will it be just a gentleman's agreement? What about the medical? Is it usually done by the announcement? Obviously, you're not privy to the details of this transfer - an "in the know" if you will - i'm just wondering how these things work generally.
