This thread..........decent theater I must admit. Pain, suffering, optimism tinged with remarkable self loathing, joy, wonder, despair. I'd take another week.

Actually, no I wouldn't. Feels like I've binged watched an entire 5 season series.
Good analogy

But it's pretty clear he was ready, he went straight into the Juve team.
I could understand him not getting in the team if he was a defender, as we had world class players like Rio and Vidic at the time, likewise in attack we had Hernandez, Berbatov, Rooney, our midfield however was absolute garbage back then.
He was the exact type of player we were crying out for, it really was a ridiculous decision to let him go, couldn't have been for footballing reasons so therefore must have been personal.
Alex Ferguson had a mantra that no one was bigger than the club, and that was the reason he was so successful. He couldn't accept Pogba requests to be guaranteed first team because that's not his way. Maybe it was a mistake, but if Fergie was any different he wouldn't be the best manager of all time.

Yeah although I thought the gist of it all was easy to understand with my (Google's) initial translation.

Good effort.
True, probly no need for my nerdishness. Nice feeling of closure about. Better vibes in this thread than ever in a matchday one, even when the team wins. Even the moaners are fun

28746 posts and many have been deleted, and some thought it wouldn't beat Vidal, 1st class muppetry

He never requested such a thing

No idea why the image is so big.

Apologies for large pic. Not sure why it is that big

No idea why people keep posting bookies odds lol
Indicator of speculation based on perceived likelihood. Doesn't always mean a lot, but can sometimes represent lots of money being wagered as a result of insider knowledge. All depends.

Is nobody else just a little paranoid that Pogba is just f#cking about with us.

I genuinely think there is a chance he has no intention of ever coming back and, to be honest, when you consider some of the garbage that Ferguson was picking ahead of him, such as Fletcher, Cleverly, Carrick, I don't even blame him if he is ars#ng around with us.

Yea complete garbage, just donkeys who got us titles and CL finals season after season. While Pogba was a world beater back then

Yeah but the fluctuations got this transfer have indicated that there is very little to no insider knowledge being used for betting. Usually the main betting indicator would be an outstanding drop or suspension.

Checking who certain people are now following aha. This thread has been crazy. Always have a summer of madness thread. TBH, just want this done either way by the end of this week.

True. Odds just change according to bets that have been put on. If there's a flurry of bets for him to stay, they'll decrease thos odds

However saying that, I might still put a "sure bet" on him coming to us.

From what I read that's what Pogba wanted and Fergie said he didn't even give those guarantees to Scholes or Giggs. What reason do you think caused him to leave?

The fact he didn't play at all? The fact we played Park and Rafael at CM ahead of him?
Not that he wasn't a guaranteed starter. He wasn't even a guaranteed starter at Juve in the first season.
He wanted to play football, Fergie promised him game time and then never gave it to him (Fergie was well within his rights to do that) but obviously the player is also within his rights to leave for playing time if he doesn't trust the manager.

I don't think asking to be given a chance ahead of some of the garbage we had playing in his central midfield position at the time was "demanding a first team place".
Thinking you could do a better job than the likes of Fletcher, Cleverly and Rafael is logic not arrogance

I know this deal may have some way to get yet, but what have they been saying over at that Juve forum lately?
They have been delusional to the end, but now it's finally beginning to sink into their minds. They have resorted to calling him "money grabber", "less important than Vidal", "disloyal" etc. And of course some good old United hatred. What a despicable bunch they are, but their salty tears taste lovely.

1/3 with the bookies thirty minutes ago, 1/7 now. Madrid gone from 2/1 to 5/1.

I wish I would have the balls to put on a bet sooner when the odds are good. I always find the odds very interesting, I know they aren't a guarantee but they do paint a good picture on where the rest of the population outside of the caf think a deal is up to and that huge swing suggests the news is actually being taken seriously.

Someone from the US should intercept Pogba on route 66, somewhere around Oklahoma and just ask him.

I agree, Ferguson made a big mistake there. The state he left our midfield in was disgraceful really. It needed major investment for years but he left it to rot. It wouldn't have been asking too much to give a young player a chance to impress, instead of persisting with dross like Fletcher, Cleverley, and Anderson.
