Hey, I just thought what the caption means "we say it all by saying nothing"

It's a variant on "a picture is worth a thousand words" - in the picture they are both very happy, laughing....

Wow 6.1m followers and almost 200k likes in 1 hour. Didn't know he was so popular.
Just noticed Ed now

Still nothing in comparison to these guys;

1 - Cristiano - 70.1m
2 - Neymar - 55.1m
3 - Messi 49.2m
4 - James Rodriquez - 24m
5 - Bale - 20.4 m
6 - Zlatan - 17 m
7 - Suarez - 15m
8 - Benzema - 14.2m
9 - David Luiz - 14m
10 - Thiago Silva - 10.1m

Before Zlatan - Rooney was our most followed with 7.2m. And imagine Rooney was the poster boy for us for year. You can see why Pogbas supposed brand is valued highly with us.

PS - Madrid are clearly very good at this social media stuff. The Madrid guys had crazy gains from December last year til now. Ronaldo went from 39m to 70, Bale from 11m to 20, Rodriguez from 16.7 to 24. Something is surely dodgy there...

I want to get excited too but are we really taking stuff from a photo of Pog having a good time with his agent?

It doesn't mean anything, they are both super loaded anyway despite a Utd deal.

Not trying to put a dampener on anything I promise, I just want someone to explain if they know something that I might have missed?

Or are we all on the beer like myself now?

Frog juice (RIP Kermit)

Barcelona and Real Madrid rule this list

It is complete tripe. Even if we were to make all the money the numbers don't stack up, not even close. A few milion is the most we could earn back. Even Messi and Ronaldo wouldn't earn it back through shirt sales.
It's more than shirt sales. And more than direct Pogba merchandise. It's his face on noodle packages and tire promos and all this other stuff that will help entice bigger club sponsorship fees. Rooney's career is winding down and his marketability will wind down, too. United need a new "face of the club" that sponsors are excited to put on their product. Additionally, he is a young, trendy, star. He's going to be a football star that is soon seen hanging with stars of the NFL, NBA, etc., plus the music and entertainment world. Adidas will help with that (getting he and other Adidas sponsored stars together and encouraging them to hang out), much like Nike does with Neymar. All that kind of promotion raises his profile, which in turn raises United's profile. IMHO, the value that Woodward/The Glazers see in this is 50% about his football, and 50% about aligning the United brand with the Pogba brand.

Like some guys have said earlier in the thread, I would be more delighted if he signed cause I know how much it would PISS off Madrid, City, and the dippers so on and so forth.

I think I'm at the end of my tether now. feck all has happened, and it is just dragging on. If he signs or not, I'm past the point of caring.

They should get used to it, if Pogba happens this summer it sets the trend for future summers.

Yes, as long as people agree the player bought was worth the sum paid. There will always be differences of opinion on that, but people need to broadly feel it worked out. Otherwise the perception is the club was fleeced, which is counterproductive from a marketing perspective.

It's not about if it worked out or not. It's about the idea that the club is capable of buying the most expensive player.

Even the Higuain stuff keeps rolling back. It was supposed to be tomorrow he would be a Juve player. Now it's next week. What a bore.

Just points to the deals being tied for me. Higuain had his medical etc this weekend already. They should have probably announced him already.

Wow the newbs have changed since i was down there, the newbs used to be bigger muppets than the mains in my time lol.
That's becasue you're up here now, all the crazed muppets have been promoted.

What they're saying, without actually saying it, is that they feel like fecking Kings of the World.

This is a very good interpretation.
It's the equivalent of a movie, where a gang of thieves have successfully performed a massive heist and the movie ends with them sitting on a beach, sipping drinks, laughing about their accomplishment.

Think about @ChaddyP and @RDCR07 - those poor souls have invested well over 1300 posts in this thread alone between them already

Add me and that's 1800!

Sooner or later the rest of you guys are going to have to carry us over the line towards this transfer.

I'm almost at the hitting a brick wall of a marathon
