Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

to be fair we hated his guts up to may this year

As the Pogba deal doesn't look to be concluded today I decided to enhance this legendary thread with a worthy post-of-a-song.

IS POGBA ON THE WAY?

As it looks the signing of Pogba will not be concluded today
I would like to express our feelings on to this journey
Cmon' mr. Raiola give us a wave
And tell us if the bid for Pogba is still okay?
Did you see mr. Florentino today?
Because he looked smitten the other day
The Juventinos oh please spare a thought for they
They are in pain as we were when Pogba got away
What more should we do for you to sway?
Would 20 millions make your friday?
Just please don't make us fax the offer on the transfer deadline day
Don't you know we are itching for Pogba since May?
So tell us mr. Raiola will the business be concluded on friday?
Because believe us we are waiting for a world class midfielder since the Ferguson days.

Did I do good use of my last today's post? :wenger:

This is the first big transfer that I have followed on this forum, it is certainly an eye opener! I know for a lot of you the speculation is all part of the enjoyment but the whole circus surrounding it is amazing.

In the lower leagues you just log on to the clubs website and see someone you have never heard of holding up the shirt and smiling. A quick search and maybe check out the forum of his last club and you still have no real idea.

I think if you can pull it off pogba would be an incredible signing not just from a footballing point of view but to re-establish yourselves at the top after a rocky few years.

I have been waiting all day for him to post a daily update on his IG so I could see his hair. Maybe that barber was on to something.

I wonder what % Raiola will work into Pogba's next move should we sign him

I wonder if this might be a sticking point as well as rumours about the fortune Juve must pay him

We are quibbling over around €20m? Didnt Rojo cost us about that? Just give Rojo to Raoila and call it done.

Mourinho's brother has apparently liked a post on Instagram with a mocked up Pogba 6 United shirt.

Which probably means nothing but I'm taking it as my good news for the day.

It's all semantics the deal isn't going to break down over a few million to either party.

I still maintain that it's done and we're letting Juve do incomings before the market inflates and they're know to have cash in the bank.

That same source La Republica also state it could be done by Monday.

Minor details like that won't squash this deal.

It's done. They'll come to an agreement.

If this deal falls through because we are not willing to pay Raiola it will be like the time when we failed to get Hazard
We would be right to not pay Raiola as we have no obligation towards him. It's Juve who entered in the 20% on transfer fee deal when they signed Pogba. They're expecting us to pay something which they agreed to!

How did agents ever worm their way into football?

The majority of these players should realise that they don't do enough for the player to warrant such large commissions and high level incomes.

A lot of players aren't intelligent though, so they are easily brainwashed.

It's a disaster for the game. Ferguson witnessed the evolution of the football agent during his 27 years at Old Trafford.

Yeah, this is something I don't understand. Juve agreed to give him 20% of any future fee. So why would they expected the buyer to pay it? Unless they've said they want 100m AFTER the Raiola fee, which is basically extortion.

La Repubblica state that Juve want to get this deal done soon so they can pay the release clause for Higuian which expires in a few days.

Yeah, if Juventus make a big bid for someone now, what club is going to be stupid enough not to realise they're using the Pogba money?

They'd put it another way. They'd just say they are upping the overall fee so they receive more money. It's semantics but ultimately they just want more money in their kitty.

The longer this deal takes and the more complications arise, the more I feel that we will end up with Matuidi or Andre Gomes which are much more inferior options. :(

What i don't get is that i thought thats why Juve wanted 120mil Euros, to cover the agent fee?. We offered 100mil ,they wanted 120mil which we have supposedly agreed so whats the holdup?.

They're tight, reneging on agreement cnuts.

Agent fee, Pogba's commission, and image rights.

Juventus are simply looking to capitalise on a once in a lifetime deal for them. This sale pays off what it cost to build their new stadium!

Why are we ignoring the fact that source is bullshit? They said we'd be signing Pjanic a month ago.
