He wasn't given the choice between Real and Man Utd. He was given the choice of Man Utd or staying at Juve.
To be fair though, he has been saying Pogba is United bound for over a week. It could well have been that he preferred Madrid. Unfortunately, Madrid aren't swimming in cash like us. Can't even afford a new fax machine.

I'd actually love for us to sign another midfielder (Matuidi) but that's probably being too greedy.

Essentially, what has happened is our initial bid of 103/104M euros was rejected, Juve want 120M.
Reports this evening that Pogba has requested Juve to let him leave. So it's looking good.

No details, but this is done and believe it or not, has been for a while. Its done in the sense that Juventus did agree to make a deal with us a while ago. United have called it technicalities remaining. Marketing has been all over it and its going to be hugh for everyone.

Yeah I know, it's fecking insane. Who else would last it out that long?
Big part of the problem was promotion system itself at the time combined with my own sheer laziness. It seemed so hard to get one 'like' never mind ten. So much so I simply could no longer be arsed putting in the effort to make decent posts and ended up stuck on three likes for years before the system was completely revamped.
