Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Mourinho won't let it rumble on. He is strict in his methods and needs his team to work with ASAP.

This isn't Moyes. If Pogba isn't looking likely Jose will swiftly move on to the next target.

He didn't with Stones though. He ended up buying nobodies at the end of the window with no one else available

You had earlier included Thiago who was just in the Depay tier when he moved. That is, one of the most promising talents in his position. Plus James was hardly world class and it could be argued he wasn't world class consistently for Madrid too. He was a talented attacker but at his best he wasn't any more effective than mata at his best. Madrid bought him simply because he had a good WC.

The point all through was that your earlier comment that this is a nothing rumour is clearly wrong. There's a good chance this will happen.
James is criminally underrated on here! He was absolute quality for Porto, and absolute quality for Monaco (comfortably their best player).

James was signed when Madrid didn't need him (Isco), so I would not put it past Madrid to sign Pogba when they also clearly do not need him. Fortunately it looks like it's either United or Juve for Pogba this season.

Pretty sure this will be concluded fairly soon, either way. As we would need a bit of time to sign an alternative player or two.
Up until the end of July is my bet. I don't think there will be much this week or the week after. Transfers like this one ain't easy.

Are you sure that Mourinho wanted them? As little as he used someone like Papy i'm under the impression that the board forced them on him. Didn't the media report last minute bids for Marquinhos?

If i remember correctly, Mourinho stated that Costa wasn't available in his first year MK2, so he had to wait and guess what? He could convince the board and at the end of the day it was the right call, imo.

Now Jose is captain of the Manchester United ship, i suspect that he's got the power, so stop gaps like Papy won't happen, either he thinks the player is the real deal or we stay put.

Juve have signed Benatia, Pjanic and apparently want Gabigol and Matic too. Somehow they've suddenly got a big pot of cash from somewhere:boring:
Yeah it seems that maybe we have agreed everything and are keeping it quiet do juventus can complete some deals without being ripped off. Hopefully it means we got pogba on the cheap.

I never said he was shit.I said he wasn't better than Mata before United, who was top draw at Valencia and Chelsea too.

Of course he didn't want him. The point I was making is that he chased after Stones far too late and by then he couldn't buy a decent enough alternative. It was in response to the 'mourinho isn't Moyes he will know when to leave a player and find another'

I agree with people saying Jose won't want for it to drag out. But this seems to be moving very slowly - reminds me of a lot of the bumper transfer sagas this forum has suffered through.

It's moved "slowly" because he was at the Euros. It's effectively only begun on Monday. If Pogba gave the nod then wheels may be turning, but this is still going to take time, especially with figures this astronomical.

I think it only appears to be moving slowly because its in the press. In reality, it could be moving at a completely normal pace given the circumstances (Pogba on holiday, Juve and United have barely communicated about a fee etc).

I think If he's coming it will happen the first week after his hols.

After all even Raiola is human being and his job is to look after his clients

Raiola's number 1 priority is Raiola.

Always has been, always will be.

You should read Zlatans book and his family's opinion about Mino Raiola. Quite different from yours.

You probably judge him by his comments in the media and maybe Sir Alex opinion.

Maybe our former manager didn't like a agent who questioned his authority, who challenged his handling and deiced against the old Godfather. Maybe young Paul Pogba, and his family, finded Raiola's advises wise and good for their sons future. Never thought about that?

Zlatan speaks extremely highly of his agent. He sees him as a family member, one of his best friends and a person he trust 100% 24/7. That should tell you something because Ibrahimovic isn't exactly an idiot, probably the opposite.

Btw. Tell us a transfer when Raiola has damaged his clients carrier or made a bad judgement. I'm no expert but I only hear good things from his clients about this guy. Why?

Yes. It's out of love for his client that he's pricing Real out of the bidding by slapping a €25m agents' fee on top of the transfer fee. Definitely.
That is a load of bollocks btw...he gets nothing from the transfer by way of a fee, because he owns part of the players registration, so his fee comes from that...

Don't forget to add James's first season with Madrid to that list. Under Ancelotti he looked like a world beater to me, scored massive and spectacular goals! He's the perfect number 10, comes across a bit like a second striker. He enables a more vertically style of play. Attacking!

Isco is a different type of baller in my eyes: more of a playmaker and not so direct, shifts the ball out wide, so brings width to the table. I think Isco and James can accomodate each other, there was a time under Ancelotti where he fielded the both of them and the football was out of this world. Some fans are still in wonderland...

Mata isn't fit to lace James's boots, but the impression what it's like to have a number 10 in the squad is already there. Someone like Pogba (who isn't perfect for the record) would be a better fit. Pogba can actually defend, so no babysitter(s) needed and with a 4-3-3 the team is more compact.

But now that's going too far, James is an exceptional talent and one could do worse than signing him, still, bring on the Pog! There's always a benefit, learning spanish myself and it's a good practice to listen to him.

I'll wait until I hear Paul say "I'm not leaving Juventus"

or Juventus say "He's not leaving"

This whole circle jerk non-commital screams that he's...

1. Coming to Manchester
Or
2. Leading Manchester along by the nose with no intention of joining

Hopefully it's number 1 because I don't need another player on my Neymar shite list.

Here in the states we have this NBA player named Kevin Durant. Paul is reminding me of how Kevin just handled his move to the Golden State Warriors.

Juventus - Its my family. When I wear this shirt I am happy. I am playing here and I am happy. When I wear the Juventus shirt I am happy, I like playing football and I always like it since I was a kid

Real - Real are the champions of Europe. They won the CL and its a great club

Man United - It is my first family. If Mou calls what I will answer? I don't know. For now I am happy at Juve

I've not looked in here for a while so apologies if this has been covered but this is apparently the translation of his comments.

Not only has it been covered, it's been meticulously analysed, dissected and conclusions have been drawn.

He's obviously coming!

:)

I genuinely think we'll get him if we pay up. Juventus are a great club but their league is pretty poor these days.

I think most players there would be happy to jump ship to a league with greater exposure, greater competition and greater wages.

I know this is going very off topic but what was Madrids XI when they played James and Isco.

Regarding Pogba, my gut instinct is that we'll get Poggy, way too much smoke for there not to be some sort of fire. Zlatan dinning with Pogba for me is massive, why would Zlatan go and dine with Paul and his family? He wouldn't of done that if he was still at PSG..
Someone has told him to either persuade/Convince him about our 'Project' or get to know him because he's going to be your new teammate. Either way they were definitely talking about United. Zlatan is over 10 years older than Paul so they wouldn't just hang out. Zlatan has been sent to do it by either someone high up in United or Zlatan being Zlatan wanting the best for his current team. I personally think he has been put up to it. What do other people think about it? Or am I looking way too far into it!

This thread has me going mad! I'll be imagining Pogba with Mourinho, Woodward, @Kevin and @GlastonSpur all in China posing in our new kits next..

This thread still hasn't reached Thiago or Vidal level of muppetry.
Chilevision, a tweet by him where he declares he loves Torino, and a thread title similar to "the writing is on the ball" is still missing.

I dunno. A random chef going all out ITK on Instagram is fairly out there.

Chilevision!
Man those were the days.

Personally, I feel as though we already have the Pog transfer more or less locked up.
He will be ours before the month is up.

surely the Juventuz vs redcafe wars, chef Bobby Chin and Epsy award muppetry has put this thread in amongst the elites

I put this into Google translate: It said:

I'm really pretending to be serious about signing for United for a stupid fee, so Madrid need to up their offer and stop thinking they can get me a lot cheaper by holding out, although the truth is they probably can and will.

So, guys who love "something" shouldn't get paid? Not sure exactly what your argument here is?!

If you're good at something, you should get paid the maximum you can. Both Raiola and Pogba would get paid more at United than Real, according to reports!

imagine.

If we sign Pogba it would

a) stop Juve from selling Bonucci to city
b) stop Madrid from selling Kroos to city
c) stop Madrid from selling Morata to Chelsea
d) allow Juve to buy Higuain from Napoli instead of arsenal

that alone is worth the 100 million

Ah integrating one of our own to get some deals done isn't something new. Steven Gerrard was Brendan's go to guy, there were some famous text messages...

'It seemed more respectful and allowed the player to read my message at a time when it suited him best. A cold call felt wrong.'

Problem is, Zlatan doesn't do texts, he calls and then it has to be a get-together. Totally with you on this, there's at least a chance that Pogba wants to come and all of us, including the players do everything in our power to get it done! Normally it should be the captain's job, but i for one would prefer Zlatan too. PogOn.

Posted this in twitter thread and now think it is relevant here too. This guy is followed by David amoyal(Di marzio english reporter) and Omid zamani(Vidal saga reporter)
The above tweet roughly translates to "in last hour, higuain close to Juve,60 million + perreyra, the striker agrees, the naples way"
From some research i have done on the guy, he doesnt seem to deal in rumours. Comments seem to agree that he is a good source(mainly juve fans).

Juve have are also very close to signing Marko Pjaca for 25 million euros.
Story from Di marzio-

Juventus are ahead in the race to sign Marko Pjaca as Sky Sport Italia report the player has given his consent to join the Bianconeri.

The Croatian international was linked with a host of clubs, including Juventus and AC Milan, with his agent confirming that there was a lot of interest in his client.

Recent reports suggested that the Bianconeri and Rossoneri were both in talks with the player, however Sky Sport Italia suggest that Juve are closest to signing the player.

Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports today that Pjaca has made a decision to join Juventus, with the total transfer expected to cost close to €25m, including bonuses.
So are juve spending the Pogba money? This could be like Bale deal with spurs spending all money first and then selling bale.

He's not the best looking of fellas.

But I am IN! They are spending the Pogba money now.

Erm, it was a joke. I know the guy isn't actually a baboon.

Or did you think I meant Pogba?

(I was referring to Fabio's Twitter photo.)

Just read on Twitter that Pogba has handed in a transfer request but the source is worse than Goal probably.
