I'm actually not saying we shouldn't buy him, I'm just pointing out that there are better players.

First and foremost, I was pushing it a bit with Alaba, I just wanted to get to the 10 players better than him stage. I'm not backing down from those top 9 though. All are at least as good as Pogba at the moment (if not better). Like I said before though, Pogba is not worth 100 million, but he could end up being valued at more than 100 million by us in a few years (with performances on the pitch, and various sponsorship deals e.t.c.)
There aren't 10 midfielders who are better than him, and the ones who are aren't available. So we either spend £100m on the best we can get or we settle for someone who isn't as good. Seeing as it doesn't make a blind bit of difference to you or I how much we spend, why settle for second best when we can get the best?

Love this whole "relevant" stance the Juvi fans are on. The same bitch club who were in tears defending themselves after getting found out as sport cheats. Its pretty amazing seeing a team with their history have such a Spurs mentality.

I don't know who is the bigger La Liga kiss-arse, this Balague or Graham Hunter.

Wow...you guys are a different level of stupid. Your club is playing in Europa league ffs, a continental cup nobody gives a damn about.

Thinking you can sign anyone just because you signed Mourinho (no club wanted him anyway), Bailly (who the $#@! is he...another Depay??), Micky (Another kagawa on the last year of his contract) and Ibra (a 35 year old who had no chance of signing for a TOP club and is just looking for a final paycheck like LVG) is a level of retardness only EPL fans are capable off.

Juventus are one of the top teams in Europe right now and likely to be one of the protagonists in this years CL.

You guys were knocked out of the CL in the group stage last year deservedly and then proceeded to finish below $#@!ing Leicester and Spurs, while your current manager managed to choke even more and make previous years champions look like relegation candidates.

You have currently 1 world class player who wouldn't have been there if Madrid weren't chumps of the highest order. We, on the other hand, have one of the world's best defence and midfield and players who want to stay here and win something.

Swallow the truth fagcafe. JUVE ARE A MUCH MORE RELEVANT CLUB THAN MANURE RIGHT NOW AND YOU ARE JUST CARICATURES OF LIVERPOOL WITH DELUSIONS OF GRANDEUR.

Your club is reduced to just a means players and agents use to get a new contract. Pogba will be another one of your Vidal, Ramos, Muller saga. No player serious about his long term career would join your $#@!hole team and you will be rejected like you have been getting rejected all these past years.

I could ask him to swallow some pills - but Juve did try that before

It's not the club, only a tiny group of irrelevant fans.

Kante is not better than Pogba, different types of players and Pogba if he reaches his potential has a higher ceiling than what Kante can achieve relative to his position. Furthermore Kante is at his or close to his peak right now, Pogba is nowhere near his at the moment.

Rakitic is not better than Pogba for me, he is a good player and a better CM than Pogba but again pound for pound, relative to their position he is not a better player.

Alaba is the worst midfielder on that list and is nowhere near Pogba's level as a midfielder.

Kante is a centre midfielder, so is Pogba. They might have a different way of going about that position (Kante is obvisouly more defensive and Pogba more attacking) but they are CMs. The original argument was that I didn't think he was in the 10 best CM's in the world. I think Kante is a better CM.

I'm just giving my opinion that he is overrated.

Looks like we won't hear anything until next week. No way would he or his agent confirm or sign anything that would dominate headlines before the final.

Well Balague has said that Madrid has pulled out. Why should we even believe that if we don't believe anything else that comes out of his bitter impartial mouth. Hes a classless hack that gets petty digs in at a club such as Man United. Fair enough we are in the Europa League, not the best competition to be in considering our stature but its still a European competition and is still hard to win. Hes a Liverpool supporter and which European competition are they playing in next season? That's right they didn't qualify, we have been mismanaged the last 3 seasons and it ends this year (fingers crossed).

The thing is Juve aren't really that relevant, they're never mentioned up there with Bayern, Barca or Madrid and they're in a one horse league. With two of their best players potentially leaving this summer I think the fans over there should take a step back and have a look at themselves and try and see themselves from an outsiders perspective; a former European giant in a dying league, a discount Bayern really (as Bayern still have a huge pull and regularly make the CL semi finals and have a better league, they just squeeze the life out of it).

I can't take anything this so called Juve forum says seriously.

They just a small minority and 99% of that forum can't even speak Italian.

What a meltdown.

The talk was that Mourinho was wanted back at Real Madrid and then by PSG but turned them down because he already verbally agreed to join us back in December.

Juventus are definitely more relevant than us 'right now' (only 3 years after the retirement of our greatest ever manager) so I guess we should just give up then... We have the money to attract big players even if we aren't in the Champions League this year and Pogba wants to get paid so Juve should either stump up more cash to him or he will leave to a club that will.

Don't get me wrong this Juventus side is brilliant, but who could blame him if he wanted to leave for a more competitive league anyway. Its a joke that Juve have won Serie A 5 times in a row in such a dominant way

He's right. How could we hope to match the deafening roar of the colosseum that is Juventus Stadium, the draw of pulling on the famous black and white of The Old Lady or a trophy room littered with scudettos?

They're a truly gargantuan club and it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that Pogba wants to stay.

After all, the notion of swapping the sweet streets of Turin for the evanescent experience of playing for a prehistoric club like Manchester United borders on lunacy. Our riches mean nothing to an individual as upstanding as young Paul and he will continue the gallant fight to bring Juventus to the summit of European football once again. Or something.

Haha well said.

In no realm of reality are Juve more "relevant" than United.

They may have a stronger team as of last season, but United are in another stratosphere of "relevance" in world sport to Juve.

The funny thing is that most of all those spouting about how Juv are bigger than us and all the current relevancy talks know and are well too aware that what they are saying isn't true but just like hearing an alternate reality coming out of their mouths over and over as if it won't make it any less delusional

Can we remove Ballbags from the title and put in the BBC stance, seeing as they're much more in the know and relevant?

It's lighthearted and casual. I'm wearing nothing but socks at the moment.

Fully clothed or half naked, casual or serious, doesn't change the fact that Balague is on the same level as Daily Star when it comes to transfer news, but for some reason summer after summer, you guys take his nonsense serious.
The last time he was right about anything was never.

Protagonists no less. Well that's us told.

Can we remove Ballbags from the title and put in the BBC stance, seeing as they're much more in the know and relevant?

To be honest, I just feel the chances of us having had 'no discussions', is incredibly unlikely.

The BBC story changes nothing. Firstly we're said to have talked to the agent and got to the player. In addition, we certainly wouldn't want their to be any distraction. So we'll see what happens in the week.

Directly with Juve? Could be true, but what's more likely is discussions with his agent or something along those lines. I'd imagine anything official won't happen til he's back from the euros, surely?

In no realm of reality are Juve more "relevant" than United.

They may have a stronger team as of last season, but United are in another stratosphere of "relevance" in world sport to Juve.

Having a good shot at the CL makes them a more relevant side than a Post-Fergie United that is rebuilding

We're an historic club too and a bigger world brand than Juve, with a manager who has a track record of success and a lot of money behind our transfer strategy so we have a shot at convincing players like Pogba that in a few years we will be competing in Europe again- for now the best we can hope for is a title challenge for next season.

If he joins now it will be for a) the money and b) the project of getting us back to where we belong
He would be justified in staying at Juve if he is happy to collect easy domestic trophies and try for the CL

If the BBC have got their information from United, and I assume they will have, then of course the club will tell them nothing has happened. The BBC are always last to report our transfers because they use proper sources and we don't tell them a transfer is done/close to done until it's pretty much in the bag. We've obviously had contact with Juventus via Pogba's agent at the very least.

Ah, I suppose that could quite easily be true. Didn't think of it like that. Guessing there will probably be no title update until the next big 'development' whether it be very positive or very negative.

Jamie is punching above his weight there.

Not going to lie I like Harry. I'd never want him here obviously but we need blokes like him to provide the laughter. Football would be boring if everyone pontificates over the tracking back of the left vertical line runner and the positioning of the false 4.

Ill pay juventus have a stronger squad at the moment, but anyone legitimately saying that they're a more relevant club in world sport, or anywhere near the same level, are out of their god damned mind. It's not even remotely close.

Funny comments at JuventuZ, probably trying to make fun of United again (are they?).

More bad news. This time from Italy's most famous newspaper Gazzetta dello sport: "Sopratutto Paul Pogba trequartista Red Devils bianconero 100 millioni di euro rossonero mafia clamoroso Manchester United un cazzo merda Mino Raiola, Juventus furioso, Manchester United merda."
In English: Manchester United's 100m euro bid for Paul Pogba is accepted. The Red devils and Mino Raiola found an agreement with Juventus. Manchester merda (i can't find an adequate word in english for this).

this is really bad. i knew he will leave but i hoped we could keep him for atleast another year to try to win the CL. hope he flops at United

s4tch
he's gone.

all man.utd can fear now is a controblitz from real.

zizinho
at this point, i hope Real signs him. screw United

Siamak
so we accepted man utd is better than juve?!

Alen
Actually, Gazzetta reported 100m euro+35m euro bonuses. That's much better. I was furious when I read that our idiots will sell him for 100m.

zizinho
there was never a doubt about this mate. they play in a bigger, more marketed league with tons of money, ofcourse players will prefer them to us. im just sad Paul turned out to be a liar after saying he will never return there and saying Turin is his home

amir3323
When a prestigious club like the almighty United come calling how could any player resist? This was bound to happen.

Siamak
our excellent summer is completed!! morata is gone pogba is gone.last summer vidal pirlo tevez this summer pogba morata probably next summer dybala
it Seem to make sense that we can't consider juve a bigger club than tottenham Dortmund and etc our level club is not far from them.

Its just getting beyond a joke at this point now real barca bayern but why man utd?!!! they sold CR7 to real and could'nt keep their star

--

What are they smoking over there? United is just a low level club, right? :smirk:

I don't know why you're so obsessed with Juventuz. There's nothing to laugh about. If we don't get that player, this thread will be the biggest joke ever.
