I'll be sad to see this thread locked. It has provided many laughs, along with ups and downs.

It's been emotional, a few may need to look at themselves especially at times when things got hairy with the madrid interest.

Without naming names a few may need counselling!

Haha. Sorry, man. Just since we had a little bit of earlier banter about the quality of the thread or lack there of I thought I'd lightheartedly try to get you involved since we at last had something positive and of substance to discuss. No big deal.

Ah, I see - nothing to be sorry about, I was probably drunk at the time.

Compared to other forums is certainly is, and that's presumably why a huge number of rival fans - including yourself - choose to post here

I said that it is more heavily moderated. I like that, that's why I post here and stopped posting at Juventuz ages ago. But it's not like people here do not react bitter to other clubs (or a certain referee) or make up childish nicknames. The main difference is that the people who run this forum have a stricter approach when it comes to moderation. If they were more on the laissez-faire side this forum wouldn't look much different. And of course, there is the newbie system...

It's not much of a reason to get on the high horse. Just like pointing out that most fans on an English Juventus form are not actually Italian is not a reason to get on the high horse when you support one of the most globalised clubs in the world.

Anyway, the ooint is not important enough to me to spend so much time on it. Good night!

This thread will hopefully be locked forever tomorrow. Pogba, Jose, Woodward, the agent ... all of these people played a role in getting this deal done.

However I would like to pay tribute to the real heroes of this transfer - the muppets of Redcafe. Years of failure, hurt and mockery did not dent your belief in the slightest, when called upon you (we) wrote over 1000 fecking pages within a few short months, even obsessing when we went days without any solid info. Good job ladies and gents, I for one salute you all :p

Victory at last.... I never wanted Ronaldo, Sneijder, Vidal, Fabregas, Ronaldo, Thiago, Ronaldinho, Ramos, Bale, Ronaldo (again) anyway :wenger:

£89m is a good fee. He's as sure a thing as it gets, one of the best midfielders around and built for Premier League.

I agree. Let's hope we keep him happy with trophies for the next 5 seasons.

Please never ever forget Thiago, that one was the worst for me, as it seemed so close.

LOL...i just noticed that the person on their forum who I have the biggest problem with (v1rtu4l ) is...

1) From Germany
2) Joined their forum in 2008

OK..that's a fricken huge coincidence.

90M... for a player that left for next to nothing... Mmmm...
Anyway, ignoring the rediculous transfer fee.. He's the best young prospect in Europe but he's not the finished article yet. Certainly needs to improve his tactical decision making and positioning. Hope he's diployed more as a box to box midfielder rather than as a holding midfielder as he was at the Euro's.

One of the first days I couldn't follow the pog news first hand, he gets announced and we break that 1000 pages in style, typical

POGBACK

Well done everyone, it's been a journey that's for sure. Like a long haul flight with turbulence, then hours of calm, then more turbulence, only to hear a whisper from another passenger that the pilot has collapsed and his co-pilot has never landed a plane before, then to find out that it's bullsh*t and that the pilot is fine, then a bit more turbulence and finally the pilot announces that we're just an hour away from our destination and the weather from here on in is perfect.

What a thread it's been.

I don't think we'll be his last big club but if he could stay for 4-6 seasons and win us something it'll be great.

Well said - though I think that sums up about a week of this crazy thread rather than the whole thing!

We made a mistake in managing him and he left us. Now he's made himself one of the best midfielders and we've fixed that mistake by signing him back. That's all there is to it :)

I would almost certainly say that will be the case. He was shackled in that defensive role and I think Mourinho will be smart enough to play him in a role which best suits his current strengths.

Paul Pogba-Manchester United: a done deal. The player is not yet in Manchester, is now with his agent Mino Raiola and tomorrow, together, will arrive in the morning in the city. There the French midfielder will support a medical and will sign the contract that will make him back a United player.

Pending the press by the two clubs, these should be the figures of the transfer, with a three-year payment: 105 million plus 5 bonus. The 5 million bonus to Juventus could materialize if in 5 years Pogba will make another contract renewal with United or will be sold by United for a figure of more than 50 million. These conditions and these are the figures of the operation, but the final figure should then be deprived of the part that will be up to the agent Raiola for mediation in the operation.

Mourinho will not use him like France did.

Thats great imo. Back to back CM with a lot of freedom in his play.

Aye, he specifically said a "second midfielder", which apparently to him means a boxtobox, or one that goes forward, didn't he namecheck Lampard and Scholes?

Yes. He said one that has good defensive and top attacking qualities and that he is a type of midfielder that we don't have.

Funny how Juventus fans are having a go at him

They got him for €0, they sold him €100m and he has been a key player for them in their best 4 years. But still they are disrespecting him like feck, one guy even hopes that he breaks his leg in the EL :wenger:

Talking about a classless bunch

Reality must have hit hard there that a player will still comes to us despite them being so successful in the last years. Ah well EPL>>>>>>>Serie A, and Mourinho>>>>>>Allegri, maybay they will realise that now

If it all goes well and we get back to being genuine CL challengers I think we will prize him out of a move through ridiculous wages like we did with Rooney.
