No way will PSG pay €80m for him, daylight robbery if they do.
Can we stop with the pretense Pogba has been shit for us? He might not have lived up to expectations, but that doesn't mean he has been poor or even average, not by any stretch. We will struggle to replace him, yet some of you lunatics will have us believe we've been playing with 10 men for the last 5 years.
NoOf course we're not getting 80m for him. But have talks between clubs been verified by anyone credible?
Pogba is miles better than Saul.Pogba out and Saul in? Would be great if it happens
But would it really ?Pogba out and Saul in? Would be great if it happens
For about 5 games a seasonPogba is miles better than Saul.
Using "simpleton" word to describe people who want Paul to stay when your club's midfield is Fred-McTominay with Matic and Pereira as subs. Well done.Imagine spending £90m on a player 5 years ago who's performances have mixed the good and the bad and is running down his contract so he can leave the club on a free for a 2nd time; Then there's simpletons who wonder why he's not liked.
I used to be a big Saul fan but he has definitely regressed. Maybe a change of scenery would be good for him.Pogba out and Saul in? Would be great if it happens
It's looking like we're going to sign Varane for €50-€60m who also has 1 year left on his contract. Pogba is way more marketable with a much bigger brand than him so I can see why the club would ask for that much. If €80m is too much for Pogba then we are seriously getting ripped off by Madrid for Varane.No way will PSG pay €80m for him, daylight robbery if they do.
Is he due back in Manchester tomorrow?
Varane is reportedly back in training for Madrid tomorrow so is pogba back tomorrow?
Expecting nuance over the tenure of Paul Pogba is the impossible job, really.Can we stop with the pretense Pogba has been shit for us? That's fine. My comments weren't so much directed at those who feel it might probably be time to move him on, but rather those that believe he's been a waste of space or is somehow detrimental to the club.He has had his fair share of great and poor performances but the issue is he is simply not fitting in well in the direction the team is going in. At the end of the season, his main position was LW, which post-Sancho will also become harder to get.
And the fact that he has given of the impression that he is not fully into the "project" (got I hate this term).
That's why some (including me) think it may not be bad idea to sell him and get a solid midfielder who suits the team more.
You're not wrong.Expecting nuance over the tenure of Paul Pogba is the impossible job, really.
People have short memories. Pogba at 50% is absolute guff and a liability to the team. Even his teammates in Euro 2020 were getting annoyed with him. Pogba trying 100% is a player that we want to keep.If we sell Pogba and bring in no one in the centre of the park, our first XI will be weaker than last season, despite Sancho and (Varane).
Central midfield is the reason why - even when results go our way - we still don't look in control, we don't pass the 'eye test' on being the 2nd best team in the league.
For all his faults, a Pogba at 50% is better than any of the other 3 options at their absolute pinnacle.
Couple all that with Bruno's undiscussible but very obvious nose-dive in form, and we'd essentially have built a formidable back 4, formidable front 4, but nothing to link the two together with.
Like Rashford, McTominay, Henderson and Greenwood?We have a few young players if given the chance could turn out to save us millions. Ole and his sidekicks keep informing us of their talents. Then he should give them their chance. Other top clubs do it, why can't we. Amad, Mejbri, Elanga, and Shoretire, are examples
City = Fodden
Chelsea = Mount
Just 2 who have turned out to be brilliant players.

I wish we had the record of City and Chelsea for bringing through academy players.We have a few young players if given the chance could turn out to save us millions. I would prefer it if we sold Pogba and brought a midfielder who would be better for us in the long run. If we do get 50 odd million from PSG, I think we should throw the kitchen sink for Frenkie De Jong. He is a phenomenal midfielder and this is probably the only time he can be prized away from Barca.
On the flip side, Pogba with a year left on his contract is probably a motivated Pogba who, for his own selfish reasons, would have to perform well this season to get one big money long(ish) contract with us or someone else. So this isn’t a bad scenario for us.

I think an in-form Saul would be a better fit for us than Pogba. By all accounts he’s been poor for a couple of years now.Pogba is miles better than Saul.
Those 2 clubs don’t come anywhere near us in terms of bringing through youth.We have a few young players if given the chance could turn out to save us millions. Ole and his sidekicks keep informing us of their talents. Then he should give them their chance. Other top clubs do it, why can't we. Amad, Mejbri, Elanga, and Shoretire, are examples

That would be sick. I’d pay him those wages because of longevity and the fact he’s exactly what we’ve been crying out for.
Yeah totally agree, the price we paid shouldn't dictate how we view his worth in the team or what he's brought to the table. Yet it does.I can understand the frustrations with him, and if someone wants to say he hasn't justified his wage and transfer fee, then sure, they can make a credible argument for that.
You can't correlate how much we've paid to his talent. If we bought him back for a packet of crisps does that suddenly make him incredible? It's already been paid. And a United team with Pogba is a weaker team.
Apart from defensively where Pogba is lazy and loses possession in dangerous areas trying to be too cuteFor all his faults, a Pogba at 50% is better than any of the other 3 options at their absolute pinnacle.
That's because we didn't.
Agree, he isn't worth that.Contract length and marketability aren't really the point i'm making, Pogba just isnt worth that sort of money in my eyes.
Agree, we should sell him this summer.I honestly don't give a feck if he stays or goes. Most talented player in our squad? Yes. But most effective? Not even close. Bruno has nowhere near the natural talent Pogba has but you can see the elite mentality and the difference it makes on the pitch.
Paul's been here 5 years and we're still arguing about his best position and trying to work around his limitations.
