Pogba is a terrific player, and may well go on to show it consistently somewhere else. But he will never, ever do so for you, and there's no point overhauling everything to try and get the best out of one player when it's been several tactical and positional tweaks umder several managers.

It's time to let go.
Been saying this for years.

Would have been better for us and him if his agent had sorted a switch to PSG in the summer. Perfect for him to be playing in a league where he only needs to play in 2nd gear most of the time.

He's got as much talent as Bruno or Cavani but he doesn't have half their heart or dedication. And with players like that it doesn't matter what position or system you use, there will always come a time when they let you down.

Pogba has been exactly the same since watching him in his u18 days. Defensive awareness and workrate is a skill like anything else, he doesn't have it and never will.

He's a tactical headache.
As personalities, they dont come much stronger than SAF and even he gave up with Pogba and got rid of him. Pogbas poor attitude, inconsistency and constant half hearted performances are not the managers fault. A swift kick up the arse might shake Pogba up but he'd soon revert to his normal routine. Maybe Pogba will perform better and more consistently elsewhere but its pretty clear now he will never do so for United.

Ive been saying for years that Pogba is a luxury and one we cannot afford.
Then Ole should let go for the good of the team and club. He shouldn't have to feel he needs to play Pogba every game just to keep him happy and maybe sign a new deal.
If he is not consistant, drag him off or don't start him. There seems to be more players who are not happy now in the squad and we can't blame them.
Van de Beek, Mata, and Lingard are just a few. Martial and Cavani and maybe even Rashford will not be happy either.
Pick a balanced team not favouritism.

I don't remember. When and how much? Only asking because if it was a silly bid, then I'm fine with it. But if it was serious, that's different.
There's constant blabber they'll go for him, they didnt bid, just kidding about that.

Don' think Pogba is going to show consistency anywhere, it just seems to me that he doesn't really have the patience for long tournaments/leagues. He does well for France in international tournaments as they're short and there's instant reward for the effort he puts in. In a league he is unable to stay focused and keep turning up every week with consistency. He's obviously a supremely talented player which means he will have games and moments in those games where he will be unplayable, but sadly for us and for football that he will never be a able to turn up every week and do justice to his talent.

Brilliant on his day but so inconsistent. I think it would be better to just let him leave. You get the Pogba that played against Leeds and then the Pogba from last night that couldnt do anything.

I agree, but we didnt splash out 90 million quid for him to be substituted every other match or come on as a "super sub" Pogba has never fit into any United team despite being played in just about every midfield position there is and trying to shoehorn him into the team affects the balance. He has never turned a game around like a Keanne or Robson, a Gerard or a Vierra, DeBrynne or even a Hoddle or Gascoigne; he has the ability but not the desire; when things are going well, ie against Leeds this season, Pogba can be majestic but as soon as the going gets tough he disappears. In Italy and in international matches Pogba gets more time and space and can destroy opponents but in the Prem hes hounded every time he gets the ball; great, really great players adapt, Ronaldo, Rooney, Aguero, Salah, De Brynne, and countless others going back decades, but Pogba either cant adapt or doesnt want to. Either way he is of no use to Manchester United.

He's out of contract this summer right? So he can actually 'sign' for someone in January, agree terms and what not?

We're sacrificing too much for him, again, so even as one of his staunchest defenders I have to admit it's time. So sad, so much talent, such a player that he could be. But if he can't work out the best thing for the team is to play in central midfield and keep it simple after all this time, he never will.

He is not good enough to build the team around. You build your team around messi or ronaldo because they can get goals. Or maybe a front three. People saying we need to build the team around Pogba, is foolish because he can never deliver like Messi or Ronaldo would.

Fed up at this stage so i would just let him go on a free.

People who comment Rioal should have taken him to PSG last summer are so innocent, this guy playerd with AC-Milan and finally moved Donarama to PSG for free but both Agent and Players pocketed loads of money

He is playing same game here, you will see him joining PSG or Madrid next year.

Wondering what is Cafe's sentiment if he leaves for free next summer

He is such a talented player.

But, I do
I'd say he clearly has more talent than both of them but it can only get you so far in games.
Agreed. Supremely talented as I always say. Can't say it is a waste because he has won good stuff.

Just frustrated that he could be far far better with his individual performance.

He has in him to be the best CM in the world but he will never come close to it for a lot of reasons

I don't know about the caf but for me it'd be a bit mix I think. I liked him a lot as a player and surely he had good moments here, but he's frustrating as hell to watch most of the time. And his noisy circus and that fat cnut. He'll leave us on a free again which makes us a laughing stock. But it's still better than having him here on astronomical wages. So a bit relieved I think, finally the end of all that. And I don't think we'd miss him.

Football. A simple game, made complicated by players like Pogba.

He's not a winger. He can't be trusted centrally. He wants to operate in positions that for us at least, don't or can't exist. He's an enigma, and a headache that's 5 years in the making where the juice just isn't worth the squeeze.

I hope he goes, because we'll be a much better, balanced and disciplined team once we adapt without him.
Absolutely. It's a simple as that. Nothing against Pogba as a person, I'm a fan, but as a player he just doesn't do the little things that our midfield desperately needs.

I see the flip floppers are back to Pogba-out again after a couple of quiet games where the entire squad has been underwhelming.

The fact that he can't replace Fred tells you all you need to know about his central midfielder abilities.

He should be used as backup to Bruno or other attacking players later in the game, nothing more. Maybe instead of Fred when we are chasing the game. I still can't believe the number of fans who rate him that highly, he is average as it gets with 1 or 2 good performamces in about 10 gamed.

It’s not just fans though is it. Its the managers of huge clubs and international teams, as well as his team mates and other top footballers who also rate him extremely highly.

Pogba is inconsistent, we know this. The problem is that when he's on the pitch, we tend to always force the ball to him because of what he can do, even if he's having an off night. Often, we play much more like a unit when he's not on the pitch.

Having said that, I understand why Ole plays him. It's hard to leave a player on the bench who can single handedly dismantle an opposition defence. I still want him at the club, but I wouldn't be devastated anymore to see him leave. I just wish Ole would stop treating him like our talisman and fitting him in the team at the cost of balance in the squad.

Not a Pogba fan he for me is not a team player it”s all about him.He on his day is magic but we do not see to many of them. I think the whole glitterati has gone to his head,He thinks he is a lot better than he actually is. We will be a much better team when he has gone. It”s obvious he is going at the end of the season so i would only pick him as one of the bench players now, we look more balanced in my mind when he is not on the field. And he can take Martial with him for me.

Disgraceful positionally last night, it was like we were playing a 4-1-4-1 he played so far forward. Left Mctominay exposed and Villareal were allowed to run riot. Can't believe Solskjaer let it happen.

He's praised when he plays well so only fair he catches flack when he performs below standards.

I had hoped he would have earned a little bit of leeway after his generally good performances, but it seems the inconsistent tag has well and truly stuck. Quite a few of our players have had poor starts to the season, but none of them are defined by their poor games the way Pogba is.

That being said, it's not always everyone else's fault. Even though it is more difficult with our style of play, he should be aiming to never go below a certain floor level of performance. Thankfully it wasn't that bad last match, but it does need to be better.

I don't really blame Pogba (he's always been inconsistent,) but I don't really see why we are trying to sign him to a new, expensive contract when we seem incapable of getting the best out of him in his best position.

He is so out of it lately. He completely went to sh1t form after Ronaldo's arrival. If the price was that Pogba plays like sh1t after Ronaldo's arrival, then the price was too high.

Funnily enough, we did better when Fred was on compared to him. Think Matic would have been a better sub than him.

Started the season in good form, to then be moved to Left fecking Wing for no legitimate reason then pulled off midweek then asked to save the day [as he did against Newcastle & West Ham last season] after McFred sh*t the bed for well over a half.

Poor cameo but what do people expect, he was hitting wonderful form only for our great leader to start throwing him all over the place for the McFred duo.

I rate his technical ability highly but he looks so leggy these days. Maybe he's been skimping on the cardio or not looking after himself properly but he's starting to get Rooney circa 2015 vibes.

He did not play on the left wing... he has been playing on the left side midfielder for almost all games he started...

Stop blaming on the positions he takes up. No decent player let alone 'world class' player loses abilities too quickly just by being moved 5 yards from right to left or up and down.

He doesn't look like a football player at times. Just let him leave, I think we play better without him now anyway.

He started the season on the left

His best game was against Leeds. McFred were in midfield and Pogba was on the left. His worse performances started when he was moved back to midfield.
