He can be good on the ball sometimes except when he tries to dribble or hold off 2/3 players. Problem is he is always rubbish off it. Also he's back long enough now to be playing more than an hour. Needs replacing.
Isn't he meant to be the big game changer for us? The real difference maker?
Since his return we've only won 2 games. Brighton and Leeds. And Brighton had a man sent off just after HT let's not forget.
We've lost to Middlesbrough, drawn to Southampton, Burnley and Watford in the league. We've also drawn away to Atletico where we were pretty woeful for 75 mins.
Think we need to stop pretending we are going to be hopeless without him. It's simply not true.

Pure agenda….no surprise.Isn't he meant to be the big game changer for us? The real difference maker?

Our results have followed similar patterns all season.
Only in the Pogba thread can he be blamed for Bruno missing open nets left right and centre, or one on ones. Or Ronaldo missing chance after chance week after week.
Our performances under Ralf are improving as a team, some individuals like Sancho and Pogba are playing well. Elanga, who missed a sitter on Saturday but played extremely well, has come in and is starting to look like a first team player. Our back four is looking more solid. Why aren’t results coming…..Can only be Pogba’s fault.
Why am I the only one with an agenda? You have an agenda to support him no matter what. What's the difference?
It's an embarrassment that 5 and bit years on you're all still digging in.
You all kept saying when he was out how much of a difference it would make when he's back. Well he's back and we are still crap.
He's been by far the best player since he returned. There was never any reasonable expectation that Paul Pogba alone would win the games for Man Utd - you retrospectively inventing such a standard and then coming round to beat him with it is is the most pathetic thing I've seen on the internet this year.
Has he? Games where we didn't beat championship sides and the team bottom of the PL?
He's had a few good games but his last two against Atletico and Watford he was awful.
Pogba is finished. Fans need to move on. He's never ever going to fulfill that potential he had.

Because you’re in here criticising him and blaming him for something that isn’t his fault. Why am I the only one with an agenda? You have an agenda to support him no matter what. What's the difference?

I think he was pretty good against Watford. But we need him against the likes of Atletico, and he's not up to it clearly.Has he? Games where we didn't beat championship sides and the team bottom of the PL?

Good postGuys at some point you’re going to just let @Nou_Camp99 have his position on this. His views are clearly entrenched, they are occasionally rational/logical - often they are not. But it’s clear, he doesn’t like/rate the player, and will go out of his way to make that point in whatever context. Today it is as simplistic as ‘since he’s come back, our results haven’t been great, so he’s a let down’. Another day, it will be ‘he’s only scored 100 goals in the last 100 years’ or something like that.
We do this as footy fans, even when we try not to. His mind will not be changed, just as some of yours will not be changed on other players. We are all somewhat partizan, and will typically see what we want. Ultimately, we haven’t gotten results of late. If we are to pick Pogba (who has objectively been amongst our better performers in recent games) and say it is down to him, we could pick any player. And different posters will pick different players. Nou Camp will always pick Pogba, some will always pick Maguire etc. Best not to even argue it anymore.

So you wouldn’t play him in the return leg? We also made four subs in that game and it was Elanga who had the biggest impact. But you’re the same as NouCamp. Regardless of how Pogba plays you’re always going to look for a negative slant. We were also better when he went off against Atletico. Our midfield started to dig in and move the ball forward faster. The game was totally passing him by

As Rozay says above. It’a pretty pointless you’re entrenched in looking for negatives with this player.

Neither is particularly good defensively (Bruno presses decently to be fair) or has that much pace to them as well. They're excellent players but more the kind who you need to cover a little for, tactically rather than put next to each other. It can work, as can any combination, but it's not a winning combination.Pogba and Bruno are best applied for teams sitting back and deep. Neither are very press resistant so I dont think they work together for some opponents.

Sad but true.
I wonder if he even enjoys watching Manchester United when Pogba does play well. Ever since Pogba returned he has been playing well (not Atletico though), made some great passes and created some very good chances that should have been assists (that were missed by terrible finishing). Since his return Pogba has mostly shown that NouCamp isnt right, must be pretty confronting to watch someone proving that you are wrong.

I think Bruno certainly can. He was proven to be standout in proloned periods under an atrocious manager. Definitely need to cater for him but with a 6 he can be part of a well oiled machine.I suspect neither player, for varying reasons, will be a part of the next successful United side.
Maybe. But it's one thing to stand out in a poor team and another to be a vital cog in a brilliant unit.Exactly.

To be fair he was standout for a long while in the entire Premier League let alone for Manchester UnitedMaybe. But it's one thing to stand out in a poor team and another to be a vital cog in a brilliant unit.
In a dysfunctional team. Like I said playing with other excellent players or part of an excellent cohesive is also a skill. Let's see if it happens for Bruno and us.To be fair he was standout for a long while in the entire Premier League let alone for Manchester United
Could say that for any player. Since his return to the side he has hardly been ‘just doing pretty stuff’ he’s been one of our best players as usual. Results would’ve been better were it not for others missing open nets or having 50% pass completion. It depends which Pogba shows up. If it’s a repeat performance then no i really wouldn’t. I’d be trying to take control of the game from the off and not be content with someone just doing some pretty stuff on the periphery while we get cut through over and over. He also kept giving the ball away when we did have it. It was a really bad midfield performance unfortunately. If he shows up and does the basics really well I’ll be delighted.
He’s been poor for much longer than he was good.To be fair he was standout for a long while in the entire Premier League let alone for Manchester United

But as I said your mind is made up already. It’s always Pogba’s fault. Bizarre.
Pogba will leave in the summer. Bruno at this rate is great for himself and his stats but not great for the function of the team. Sancho for example is a player I expect would thrive in a functioning side. We need better ball retention than 50-60% for that. Bruno, in some time, could end up having a RVN affect when he leaves.I suspect neither player, for varying reasons, will be a part of the next successful United side.
Yeah but my point is that his own individual performances relative to the very best of the PL was still top or thereabouts. In a dysfunctional team. Like I said playing with other excellent players or part of an excellent cohesive is also a skill. Let's see if it happens for Bruno and us.
Since he’s come back into the side that’s the one bad game he’s had. Other players have had one good game in that time and actually cost us games, then Pogba is blamed. I don’t see you in other threads blaming them when they were in fact worse in that Atleti game. This isn’t some academy kid that needs a break. This is a fella who wants to be one the highest paid players in the world letting our biggest game of the season totally pass him by and getting subbed off and us doing much better without him. If you don’t see that as a problem then I don’t know else to say. You can’t take any criticism of the player in a balanced way whatsoever. He goes missing in far too many games and you’re on here defending him after each one
No he hasn't. But you can disagree, that's fine. He’s been poor for much longer than he was good.
Maybe. But it's one thing to stand out in a poor team and another to be a vital cog in a brilliant unit.
