He’s awful. Bruno was bad yesterday but I think he could make something out of nothing from that bad performance because he has asset in his long shot and set pieces to win us the game or score. Pogba played bad and he has nothing in his assets to get out from that poor performance. Pogba should have been subbed off not Bruno.

At least we will have Martial back against Everton means we won’t see Pogba in XI if we play 4231. And if we play 442 diamond, I would rather see Donny than Pogba.

The guy is just impact sub at best, playing when the opposition players are tired.
Donny? Tbh I'd even start Pereira over Pogba now. Yes fecking Andreas Pereira.

Both provide nothing attack wise, often lose the ball, lot of wrong passes, wrong decisions, like to dwell on the ball, like to showcase and fail miserably, slow down the play, screw our movement. But at least that guy can track back and tackle a bit. And he doesn't give away penalties.

His best position does defo seem to be coming off the bench vs tired players / legs.

Unless we need to buy Kante to unlock Fred who can unlock Matic to unlock Pogba?

I know I’ll probably get slaughtered but I feel abit sorry for him. Don’t think he was the worst player yesterday although I’ll admit that penalty is brain dead. It’s just very harsh the fact he’s focussed on more than any other player. I’m a massive Ole in fan but for me he just got it wrong again yesterday and in doing so hung players like pogba out to dry. I certainly didn’t think Pogba showed a lack of effort at any point, it was just a tough game and like any player you can have poor games.

Yeah, agree. A certain ugliness comes out on this forum regarding Pogba. He’s not been good enough for a while, I acknowledge that, but I don’t particularly understand the hatred of him. I like the guy and hope he pulls it together, as unlikely as that may be.

It's his last season with us I suspect, he's been here the majority of his career and we're still having these debates on his best role, what he needs in midfield playing with him, is his heart in it etc.

Yeh I agree. I would at this point though look to get rid as I just don’t think it’s worked for both parties as we hoped and the media and fan treatment he receives is just a massive distraction. We would do well to get a different style of player to pogba when we replace him, we need to look for a more controlling midfielder who can dictate the game from deeper more reliably.

You can't do that here but I feel the same.

He tried to do what he's always done and was good at for years at Juve and his 1st 3 seasons back which are dribbling and creating chances. It's just nothing worked for him, add to that the penalty which came after about 50 passes by Arsenal, and many here are taking it as a chance to dump all their frustrations on him.

Yeah good points. I’d give him until end of the season to turn it around.

Manager's favorite. Took him 1 good performance in ucl to gain his place back. VdB must be scratching his head.

No matter what Ole does, he will get criticism. Drop Pogba then we have section of fans who will blame him for playing inferior players instead of our better players. Play him then section of fans will blame him for picking his favorites. This is lose-lose situation for Ole.

I think we should move on from Ole and Pogba. Sack Ole, sell Pogba and buy CM who can contribute to both attack and defense, someone who can give the balance to the team.

Can’t understand why we drop him because he’s shite then we improve but bring him back in no time and he’ shite again and so are we? Drop him permanently

We'll need two players when Pogba leaves. A DM because what we have isn't good enough and someone in the mold of Grealish, preferably he himself.

He should apologize for his pathetic performance yesterday. Need to get dropped now, no excuses. Impact sub and go from there.

Yeah, 2 good CMs to play behind Bruno would be awesome.

I'm a fan of Pogba and there have been times where I felt he's been underappreciated on here.

at the same time I can't recall when he's really made a strong contribution to our performances. He was really good when he came on against Spurs in the first game after lockdown but nothing stands out after that.

Weve had some decent performances, lots of average and some awful ones too.

As an elite member of our squad its simply not good enough. The balance of the team isn't always great with him there and even being dropped hasnt really seen an upturn in what he contributes.

when you consider what he's contributed over the last 4 years its been patchy at best.

With him wanting away as well I think its fair to say we could do better by selling an buying a player or players who better fit our plans.

I think he's been utterly useless lately. It seems he loses the ball left and right every game now. Considering his price tag he should be running the show in the team, but I'd strongly consider benching him if anything.

Pogba is an absolute disgrace. I have rarely seen a player so lazy. Just watch the highlights and see where he is every time Arsenal attack. He is either still up-field when Arsenal attack, or he's with an Arsenal player but doesn't track him when he moves, or he just points for someone else to mark him, or he doesn't pick a player at all. And he's like this in every game!
Put him up for sale and please never play him again.

Yeh I do like him and both a person and a player but I do agree Unfortunately. We would do well to swap him with a more natural, controlling deep midfielder. It would have been excellent business to ship Pogba off for £80 million and bring in Thiago for £30 million for example.

I think he’s still being affected by post Covid. I have a friend who has been off work for two months with it, yet we’re expecting him to play Premier League football!

Ronaldo had covid and come off the bench to score a brace...
Ibra had covid and is in unbelievable form...

Oh come on fella. I’m a big Pogba fan but we have to stop making every excuse under the sun for him. Ronaldo has just come back and bagged, Ibrahimovic is 39 and is top scorer for Milan. Pogba was probably asymptomatic and will be fit as a fiddle again now. His performance yesterday didn’t seem like it was an individual lack of effort, it looked like a player who got nullified by the opposition system.

Bollocks. He's been playing that way since the day he came back, his style and levels of performance haven't changed at all in 4 years.

The most damning statement came from himself. I was out of breath.
Out of breath?
He is a 27year old professional sportsman. Before he gave away the penalty, had he been sprinting for a sustained period of time?
From what I saw, he hardly broke into more than a slow jog and spent most of the time ambling or walking.
He needs to take a serious look at his fitness.
And a serious look at his attitude as well.

TO be fair, it effects everyone differently... some people can be fine and some people can feel the repercussions for months.

However, if he is feeling the effects of Covid he simply shouldn't be playing... so it isn't an excuse

If he was out of breath, it wasn't due to him putting any great effort in. If he's really not fit, why is he anywhere near the squad ? Get him out now - he's dragging United down.

Can’t understand why we drop him because he’s shite then we improve but bring him back in no time and he’ shite again and so are we? Drop him permanently
I agree, I feel like im in a funny house.

For the remainer of his career at United he should be used as a sub. If we can sell him great, if not he is just a sub, whatever.

The club should be aware if he's struggling from Covid. We have an elite medical team so measuring his V02 max, heart health and general fitness shouldn't be an issue.

Even so he had it a long time ago and has more than enough time to get over it unlike the aforementioned players. This is an elite athlete that doesnt smoke drink or anything like that. Its a cop out to blame his performances on that.

His output at Juventus and at United are uncanny, the similarity is undeniable. So those who say he was some sort of monster in Serie A maybe need to reconsider this because he is certainly not a monster here?

Why he lasted the full match is beyond me. Should have been sub before the penalty incident. He was so poor.

I'm not a huge fan of him (used to be) but now is not the time to kill the guy. That's the reason I suspect Ole left him on the pitch.

We'll have to add giving away stupid penalties to the list of symptoms.

I still remember years ago reading an article of how Juve used their extensive media to hype a player up. It was Pogba and Dybala after him I think. Didn't buy it at that time. I was of the opinion that he's world class and one of the best players in the world when we bought him. Truth is most of us never watched him at Juve, neither did I.
