About half of these 'good / very good signings' certainly aren't. Darmian, fellaini, Mkhi and unfortunately Mata to a lesser extent is over £100 million spent with little return. Then you've got outright turds like Shaw, Depay, Di Maria and Schneiderlin for another £150 million.

Even our 'hits' haven't cemented themselves as such yet. I'm happy with how Lukaku and matic have done so far but ultimately we don't really look any better than last year.

I agree we have 8 very good signings there
If that is the case we should have been challenging for titles all along
I don't think some of these lads are very good signings far from it

If you compare their standard even as squad players to the squad players we had under SAF’s title winning seasons they would definitely come out as poor signings. Every single player in our squad should be up to a standard that’s required for challenging for the Premier League, not just the ones that start.

"could" make the bench? Most of us thought the bench was the absolute minimum!

Would love Pogba back straight away, but the other 2 could wait. Maybe late subs midweek would be ideal, as we're so well placed In that cup

Can't wait for him to be back. He's better at everything that Herrera does, so it can only be a good thing for us.

We really need a solid win today to give us that belief back for a busy period.

Herrera has been sub-par, but they are very different midfielders. Herrera is more aggressive and better at winning the ball back. Pogba is much better with the ball.
 
So glad that he's back.

Not only is he our best and most important player, he's brilliant to watch and a real entertainer in an otherwise kinda grey and boring team. I always feel we're a far more exciting proposition when he's playing!

Hopefully he'll hit the ground running.
 
Buzzin to see him back and expect him to take us up a level after a couple of weeks. No more Herrera averageness which is a breath of fresh air.

But yea, he's gonna be rusty as feck so I'd be (pleasantly) surprised if he does particularly well.
 
Expecting a rusty start. Pleased he's back though.
 
He still runs likes a Kangaroo so I doubt he’s had has gait retrained.
 
Oiled to play hoof ball and is being lazy defensively, needs to do better.
 
Well we’re still shite to watch funny enough despite his return.

Few moments of quality on the ball though as expected from a player of his level.

This guy deserves a better class of attackers around him.
 
De bruyne this, De bruyne that...I don't want to hear it. This guy is just as good.
 
What a great player, we've missed him so much.
