Patrick Kluivert - Ruud van Nistelrooy

personally i think the story is bullshit, but if we did sign him id welcome him with open arms. For me he's one of the top strikers in the world. you dont get to play for Ajax,AC Milan and Barcelona if youre not.
I dont care about his reputation off the field, its what he does on the pitch that counts and i believe he'd have a field day at United.

Did Blanc just refuse, or did he say he would only play for a different English club? Something along the lines of there only being one club in England and that's Liverpool/Arsenal/Leeds/Manchester City etc.

Kluivert can go and feck right off.

Firstly, he didn't even have the courtesy to come and speak to Fergie when we agreed a fee with Milan for him in 1998/9.

Secondly, he appeared on TV just after this, and said the reason for not joining us was because the only English team he would ever consider playing for was Arsenal.

Got to agree he's a decent player, but if someone comes out with this sort of shite, he should never have another opportunity to join us.

Big time tosser. Quite simply not a United player!

Fergie had the biggest F*** O**, when we won the treble just after that, the sad git thought because the Arse had just won the title , they were better than us.

Fergie buys player's who would be committed, not a player refusing to even talk terms, he is a big loser like fergie said.

But, I say Fergie Buy him for £8 mIllion, tie hime down to a long contract, play him a few games and then bench the F****r like he did with Dwight Yorke, and let him rot in the reserves when he took the piss out of him.

We'd still have to pay the leech wages and £8m is a waste of money. Let the gooners have him or let him rot at piece-of-shit no bread Barcelona!

I'm sure this story is a by product of the Hasselwank to Barca story.

Agreed

Nice detail: Ruud and Murderer Snuivert are born on the same day.

But at 'Oranje' I've seen quite some nice games with them together. Germany-Holland in '99 (not sure about the date, but I think it was '99) was absolutely fantastic.

Well, first of all, did you guys that don't like Kluivert actually see him say those words on telly, or did you read it in one of your very reliable newspapers ?
Now if you read it somewhere (once one of them has printed it, everyone prints it), I wouldn't trust it.
Kluivert turned us down because he wanted to team up with his old coach Van Gaal, having a few troubled and lonely years behind him in Italy, and clearly felt it would put his playing back on track.
Slagging of potential buyers like us sounds very strange for a professional footballer. Usually they are very round and polite in their statements about transfers 'cause they know they might work for one of these clubs in the future.

Now if he really said that and one of you have seen it on TV, then rationally i say to myself that two of his both Bergkamp and Overmars were in the club around that time, and that must have been attractive to him. But in my heart...if he really said that then......I feel the evil spirit in my heart. Then it hurts my gut.

I met him in Barcelona, btw, in november, and he seemed like a nice guy.

But if Kluivert is something, what about Ronaldo ?
The team and the teammates don't want to give up on you, and waits for you, and wait for you for more than two years, doing everything in their power to get you back on track.
And when you're fine, the first thing you do is to leave for Real. It makes me sick, and if he ever signs for Manchester United I will not utter one syllable in support of the team until he is gone again. I just can't get behind guys like that.

Great Player..
Arrogant twat...
It won't happen...
Rather have Cisse anyway! :p

To inconsistent, when he's good which to be honest is not that often, he's incredible, when he's bad he is shocking. His shots to goal ratio aint nothing to shout about!

Would much prefer Cisse, Ronaldinho(link role), Shevchenko, Tristan.

Kluivert is not the man to fill our number 9 shirt.

Um...yes. Look at the Treble video. They have the interview with him on it saying that crap.

Beat me to it. It's there in all it's "glory".

Kluivert would welcome JFH
sportinglife.com

Patrick Kluivert believes he could play with rumoured Barca target Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and scoffed at talk linking him with a move to Old Trafford.

Kluivert said in a press conference: "He (Hasselbaink) is a great striker and a very good player.

"I believe we are compatible and we can play together. We have already done so in the Dutch team."

The Chelsea striker has been persistently linked with Barca in the past month and coach Louis Van Gaal has suggested he is interested.

However, according to Catalan sports newspaper El Mundo Deportivo, Barca are only willing to pay a maximum of 12 million euros ($A22million).

Kluivert also stated his "surprise" at the reported interest of English Premiership club Manchester United in acquiring his services.

"I don't know anything," he said.

El Mundo Deportivo ran a front-page story on Wednesday claiming Sir Alex Ferguson is on the trail of Barca's number nine.

Moreover, Kluivert's agent Sigi Lens has reportedly been seen in Manchester.

Kluivert though pointed out that Lens is also the agent for other players, including current team-mate Michael Reiziger, who has been in talks with Manchester City.

"I have said it many times that I am very happy in Barcelona and I have no intention of changing teams," Kluivert stressed.

he aint commin :D

Kluivert al OT?

I don´t thik so, he´s too expensive and he has the exact same style than Ruud, so it´d be a waste of money. I think Fergie would rather spend the money in Cisse, Gudjohnsen or even Salas than Kluivert. Also, Barcelona won´t let him go.
