Patrick Dorgu | United in talks

This is a bit of a scary comparison

We all know how it worked out, people are willing to turn a blind eye to some obvious defects at the moment, but he’ll be thrown on the reject pile after a few bad results.

I can see the need for warm bodies in a position we’re weak in, and understand the clamour but I’d rather soldier through until the summer with what we’ve got if it means we have a bigger budget and don’t have to compromise.

Big if there though.

Don’t get me wrong, a very classy player on the ball. But one paced. Dorgu is said to be rapid, great stamina and 6ft2. A perfect fit for Amorim
he's the ideal type of wing back that Amorim wants in his team....and my god do we need some pace injected into this team

A closer more apt comparison is probably AwB. Fast, physical, used to be a winger but mediocre with the ball. Hopefully Dorgu is better at the football side than he was. Or at least is a beast defensively.
I do not remember AwB being either strong/physical or fast. And he had this habit of jogging even when we desperately needed him to sprint.

He looks like a nothing player. I don't know how you can watch him and want to throw away 30m when we are already struggling for money. He won't play better than Dalot, and he will be another player we struggle to find a club for in the near future.

If we don't have the money to sign a much better player, then we should have some patience and wait till the summer. Throwing money at rubbish because we are desperate is not the way to go.

Did you ever see him speeding back?

Diego Leon, Sekou Kone, and less so the fella from Arsenal. I get we are all numb to the failures under the previous management, but overall the signings under the new regime have been of good quality and value, focussed on the present and future
No proof of that yet. We had positive youth signings under the previous regime too, I remember how head over heels we were when we got Hannibal in.

I'm against this as it would seem like that would be the end of us trying to get Nuno Mendez unless we sell shaw this summer which is going to be highly unlikely
Thought he'd basically got his agent to name drop us so PSG would give him an improved deal

We'd struggle to give Shaw away never mind sell him
