Ozan Kabak

I first saw him against Dortmund and he was sensational. The same week I started hearing about Bayern sniffing which confirmed what I thought I’d seen. Watched bits of a few games since then, and he looks to have a big future for sure. He’s really good in the air too.

Can't remember seeing him last year but an aerial dominant bargain of a centre-back, at an age where we could get more than a decade out of him (all being well) sounds like just whats needed.

No he is not, stated on here before he came to the PL that he wasnt really good enough. But Ozan did really step it up, he was even VfB best defender this year and that includes Pavard who had a bad season. He was even voted the BL best youth player in march.

For 15m its a no brainer really.

We won't do it then, probably chase Maguire and Varane like the stupid cnuts we are.

There are reports quoting Kicker that we've won the race on this one. Interesting if true. Cheaper than Saliba, different type of player though.

There is no Kicker article saying anything like that.

According to DiMarzio his agents met AC Milan officials yesterday

Only reports I read say we are meeting his agents to make our offer.
Bayern and Milan also interested with Milan guaranteeing him more game time

What a load of bullshit. He's really good in the air. Can't believe someone wouldn't want him because he's under 6'4 but here we are.
One of his best traits is his strength in the air.. 6'1 isnt big but its not small either its just ok. He got a great timing.

Germany has a very large Turkish community and there are a lot of Turkish players or ethnically Turkish players in the Bundesliga. I would guess that would be an attraction over and above the lure of joining a CL contender like Bayern.

To be fair, there’s a relatively large Turkish community here in the UK too, albeit mostly in London.

I hope we get him. In Holland we see a lot of German football and from what I've seen of him he looks very good. De Ligt is getting all the attention because of Ajax in the CL. Don't get me wrong de Ligt is excellent but is not the only good young Central defender in Europe.

He seems comfortable on the ball going forward but defensively I'm not so sure. If we get him and he turns out to be Maguire, I wouldn't mind that at all. That would instantly save us 60 odd million to use it for a RW aka Pepe.

James
Bruno
Wan Bassaka
Ozan
Pepe
Ndombele

That would be decent signings for the summer provided we kept Pogba and Lukaku. Actually, I wouldn't mind losing Lukaku. We could have Pepe feature in Lukaku's position as a RF.
This. Any list with Ndombele and Pepe has my vote.

It's the metro reporting this. When have the metro ever been right?

Never seen him play, but surely if we're to sign a centre back, it's going to be someone who will go straight into our first XI. Is this guy good enough?

He's Milan bound. His agent was in Italy the other day. Not the player who'd transform our defence anyway. We should target more established CBs. (If we have intention to sign any that is.)

His agent also met with Bayern and is scheduled to meet with us. He's not bound anywhere.

Sorry, could you post a link to sources confirming we have a meeting with his agent scheduled?

Don't know about official sources but it has been widely reported in the media that Milan, Bayern and United all have meetings scheduled. Google will take you to stories from most of the British tabloids confirming it as well as the Italian media. Funnily enough our media says we are behind the pack and Milan is looking likely and the Italian media is reporting we are his preferred destination and Milan are sure they have missed out. Based on all of this I expect him to join Valencia

He does seem like an absolute steal at that price, my concern is that because he is so young, he doesn't have the commanding leadership qualities that we need.
I'd also be a bit troubled that we buy a 19 year old* that jumps in front of Tuanzebe in the pecking order, because I do have such a lot of belief in Axel.

*De Ligt is a rare exception to other 19 year olds.

I'm not too sure that would be the case if we were to get rid of some CBs. I agree if we don't get rid of any, we'd be limiting his time which would be a real shame.

Yep, not sure how UK press

I suppose that looking to the future, a pool of Lindelof, Tuanzebe & Kabak should be a vastly better situation than Jones, Rojo & Smalling.
This deadwood is really weighing us down.

Yeah, pretty much. I wouldn't be adverse to keeping Bailly if we got shot of Rojo and Jones.

How talented is this guy? Some of you have watched him I assume.

True. If he s that good, bayern will sign him.
If he s not that good, we may have a chance

Reports are saying that he is probably going to Italy (Inter i think), because he fears he won't get enough playtime at Bayern, which is true.

He is a huge talent, has all the attributes to become a massive CB. Good with the ball at his feet, brave, strong in the air and is calm and has good composure.
This move needs to be right for him so going to Utd or Bayern isn´t what he needs, he needs to play games to become better, think he could do worse than staying at VfB for another season or 2. But he could become a great CB in a couple of years time.

The sample size isn’t the biggest, but I’ve watched a handful of full games and he looks a huge talent. De Ligt is a massive ‘brand name’ centre half, but there is no such guarantee (as has been stated many times in his thread) that he will become ‘the best centre half in the world’. There are a few others around who will be right there with him in a few years, and Kabak seems to be in that group with Tah and an assortment of young Frenchmen who could be in that argument for sure.

He's actually shown great leadership qualities so far. He's no De Ligt like you said but there is a leader brewing in him. Also I think he's quite playable right now in the PL (so is Tuanzebe imo).

I’ve followed this guy both in Galatasaray and inn Stuttgart. He is really good. I really hope we manage to sign him. He is brave, strong, good positioning, young, and most importantly is cheaper than the other players we have.

He shouldn’t be difficult to convince. Though if we get him (or any other defender) we need to sell at least one of our current CBs

Thanks @Rozay. According to the Caf, de Light is a definitely going to be the best so :)

I want him now so anyone remotely reliable reporting United's interest in Kabak?

Yeah I think we've been linked to have made an offer to his agent, I imagine a lot would have at 15m euros.

Can he play left center back? If he's mainly a right center back then he would integer with Tuanzebes growth

according to very reliable Stuttgarter Nachrichten, he's mulling over 4 offers: Bayern, Schalke, West Ham and Milan.

I think he'll end up at Milan. The Bayern thing would surely depend on Boateng leaving.

He is mainly right footed but has especially in Galatasaray played many games in the left side of the defense and has done it well every time. I would not be afraid of playing him at the left side
