Any members of the Caf' going this year? I've decided to get a ticket this week.

Futhermore would anyone care to recommend any of the live acts? I've a list of maybe four or five definite one's to go see, but I'm not too sure about some other's, are Coldplay any use live?

I'm undecided on going. Go see Consumer Love Affair, I'm friends with the drummer.

I went last year. The average age is about 15 and they are all fecking idiots. Was amazing craic though if you manage to block out most of the people there.

I went in 2009 and 2010, and the latter was fecking shite. Too many mainstream rap acts and thus a load of nackers went. I remember being asked by every second person "where were the vuvuzela's were being sold"

Any Caf' connection is good enough for me, how'd they manage to get into the Oxegen line-up?

I thought last year was brilliant, always going to get arsehole children, and arsehole adults for that matter, managing to block them out was'nt too hard, went with a group of about thirty of us last year, won't be as many this time round.

Did you watch the world cup final on the big screen? I missed most of that due to my ex being an impatient bitch.

 The vuvuzela's were gas I thought.

I still have mine! I was camped near a bunch of Dublin north-siders and the vuvuzela sounded better. :

I did indeed, payed for my weekend so it did, had Spain in two seperate bet's, ended up winning over €300 to cover my weekend, was delighted.

I've got a three day ticket that hasn't arrived yet, thinking I might try to get a refund and just go for one day.

Not sure what your taste in music is like but if I was going I'd want to see:

Metronomy, Example, Glasvegas, Calvin Harris, Weezer, Tinie Tempah, Swedish House Mafia and The Strokes on the Friday.

Frankie & The Heartstrings, Hurts, The Bloody Beetroots, The Vaccines, Two Door Cinema Club, Beady Eye, Deadmau5, Brandon Flowers, Arctic Monkeys and Foo Fighters on the Saturday.

Afrojack, Chase & Status, Crystal Castles, Friendly Fires, Jimmy Eat World, OFWGKTA, Manic Street Preachers, Pendulum and Coldplay on the Sunday.

Acts in bold would be definates.

Two Door Cinema Club, Arctic Monkeys and Then Manic Street Preachers are the only real stand outs for me.

If I hadn't gone to see Manic Street Preachers quite recently they'd be a definate.

I've never really got into Arctic Monkeys, I like them they're just not a stand out act for me.

i wouldn't watch half of that shite in my garden.

€244.50 for what is essentially 3 days of listening to radio one.

tiga and sven vath are must-sees though. friendly fires worth a look too.

Cheers for the responses, judge me if you all want but I'm certainly going to Beyonce, the true diva of our generation.

 fair enough, I'll give 'em a miss, not my African princess Beyonce though, if it was'nt for Google watching us I could show you plenty of reasons to go see her.

Don't think I'd be discussing the advantages or disadvantages of going to see Beady Eye live on a rainy Saturday if I was one of Beyonce's dancers.

I was thinking about getting a one day ticket this year to see Foo Fighters but thought it would be full of scumbags, philipb pretty much confirmed it.

The usaul collection of undesirable's will be there, theres always characters to be seen, one of the tricks I suspect is to go with a big enough group, both times I've gone I have and hav'nt paid too much attention to any scum-bag's, although, this has got me thinking... What if me and my mates are the scum-bag's?

Did you:-

Jump on a tent that wasn't your own?
Set fire to a tent that wasn't yours?
Piss on a tent?
Kick over a tent?
Sing or chant IRA 300million times while down there?
Steal anything?

If the answer is yes to any one of them then I'm afraid you're a scumbag.

No.
No.
Pissed in my own tent on the last night.
No.
No.
A pair of wellington boots.

Shit.

Honestly, I really did enjoy Oxegen last year and it was fecking mental. I went in a group of 12. I just hated the fact you could leave nothing in your tent at all and then the silly feckers setting them on fire. It's too young a crowd. A girl came up to me, blocked, and asked if she could sleep with me in my tent for the night, I asked how old she was...she was 15! Who the hell would let their daughter wonder about Oxegen at 15 years old, ffs!
