Ousmane Dembele

Crap that we missed even on him. Well that's hardly anything more to look forward to today, bar Cavani announcement.

How many would say no if we were buying Dembele from Dortmund for 50-60 million, before he went to Barcelona?

We are not buying him, not this window anyway, unless it's dirt cheap. People need to stop reacting to every tweet.

Sky Sports just reckoned this is dead in the water United will not buy him outright.

No permanent deal. Please no. Not until we can see him in action for at least a year first.

 we are like Arnie in that Christmas toy movie, scrabbling around.

Disneyland was fecking right, Woodward you dozy feck.

So an injury to Greenwood and its Dan James on the RW?

Van de Beek, Telles, Cavani, Traore and Dembele would be a very good transfer window.
Would be better if we didn't sign 4 of them on the final day but it's still 5 good signings.
Only thing left to do would be sign a left footed CB and a quality mobile DM (a Fred but better).

The one position we needed to add above all others and we've got fecking nothing. Beyond depressing.

I know that, but if he’s injured enough to fail a medical, he’d be no good to anyone until he can re-register for Barca in Jan anyhow.

He isn't injured at the moment and a medical isn't to assess whether you are injured but to allow the buyer to assess the long term viability of a transfer from a medical standpoint. A player can "fail" a medical and play tomorrow without problem. The issue with the scenario that you have described is that Dembélé is currently fit to play and also registered, if he "fails" a medical at United tomorrow, he won't be able to play until January for administrative reasons.

Barcelona trying to sell dembele without a medical???? I hate that club with all my heart.

Once again, I know this. But United could for example in this hypothetical, agree to pay the loan fee “subject to medical”, which is what I said... fail the medical, no fee.
As I also said, it’d be impossible on a perma deal.
I’m sure there’s plenty of legal opportunities with a loan deal.
