How can a serious football watcher put Fred at 59m pounds as value for money but Blind at 15m as failed?
Sancho and Varane why? Because of what? Sancho 's 3 goals in 50 matches?
Because it's too early to judge them. Been a part of a diabolical dressing room since they joined.
Yeah players that cost 70m should have three seasons or more before they can be judged.
Laughable
Gary Neville rated all our transfers into Green, Amber and Red since Fergie retired in 2013.
Out of all the signings he has only 2 which were green and a “success”. Ibrahimovic and Fernandes. 75% of them are in red as failed
Do you agree?
What's laughable is you writing him off after having one season while we watched him at Dortmund be one of the most exciting attacking players in Europe.
We watched him being good around Haaland. He hasnt a good game for either United or England. This is a level up from Bundesliga , so far he has been absolute terrible and therefore correct in 'red'.
We dont judge a transfer on future 'might be good '
I didn’t watch the discussion so I could’ve missed the clarification but surely when discussing a signing’s success, price is always relevant? For example, people are always going to judge Maguire who’s been shocking much more harshly than someone like Blind who was decent/average simply due to the difference in price. Same reason why Pogba was deemed such a disappointment in comparison to someone like Herrera.I know you all love to get your knickers in a knot about transfer fees but they’re completely irrelevant. The question here is whether or not these signings have made an overall positive contribution in their time here. That’s all that matters. If they have, green. If they’ve been fairly up and down, then amber. If they’ve consistently underwhelmed, red. It’s a simple concept. Stop over-complicating it.

In what world is Harry Maguire in the 'Amber' category and Varane for example is in 'Red'?
Stick slabhead to the bottom tier and promote some useful ones from the red category to the middle ground and I'll agree with them. Mata, James, Fellaini were all better signings for you than Maguire.
Obviously it could change but he’s been a titanic flop so farSancho will be great once he has quality around him. He will play very well with intelligent players around him.
Well, that questions irrelevant to the topic at hand in my opinion.
Bruno Fernandes had the best individual year any one of our attackers had post Fergie. Shaw's been a 2x player of the year and has over the course of a few years justified why we paid so much for him.
Martial was pivotal in the FA Cup we won under Van Gaal, and has given our supporters quite a few memorable moments.
We've lost sight of what's important. If you can't enjoy football on a game to game basis, and enjoy the moments/players that make things memorable - what's the point?
Out of Bruno, Martial and Shaw, for me, Martial has been the most disappointing and has not justified his transfer.
Both Bruno and Shaw have been good. But are showing extreme lack of confidence resulting in very poor form.
But I agree with you. Quality remains while poor form should be temporary.
Fellaini should be amber, he wasn't great, but worked hard and was extremely useful in certain situations and got us out of trouble a number of times. Blind in the red section, that is insulting. Maguire should be there, the two previous players were not liabilities.
