Our Biggest Needs Priority Order

Priority order with preferred order of players in:
  1. Striker (starter) - Kane/Osimhen/Benzema free
  2. CM (starter) - Frenkie/Enzo/Nunes
  3. DM (bench) - Caicedo/Lavia
  4. CB (bench) - Guehi/Bella Kotchap/Ahmedhodzic
  5. GK (Starter) - Diogo Costa/Maughan/Sanchez/Raya
Sell:
  1. McTominay
  2. Maguire
  3. Tuanzebe
  4. Jones
  5. Williams
  6. Donny
  7. Elanga
  8. De Gea (when we get to GK)
Think we can challenge for the title with just Kane and then swapping McTominay and Maguire with more fitting depth for Ten Hags style/system. A new CM would go a long way to helping us dominate and a goalkeeper who can dominate his box and comfortable at playing out is just vital these days.

First priority must be a back up for Casemiro...our season literally depends on it.

McT is terrible, and cannot be relied to even play in DM for us, ever.

Think I would throw an AM in there too so we can rotate Eriksen a bit more next season. Would love to think we could get Osimhen/Vlahovic AND Benzema on free but not happening in a million years.

They won't sell McTominay which suggests there isn't anyone on the radar at all

Have plenty of options between Eriksen/Sancho/Amad (and none of those 3 will/should be starters next season, unless Sancho steps it up on the RW).

CF - I'd prefer someone younger than Kane. We need to part with Martial unfortunately as he can't stay fit)
CM - need a Box to Box to compliment Bruno and Casemiro PLUS need a DM understudy to Case that can learn and take over in 3-4 years
CB - I think we actually need to get someone here. Harry will leave as he will want playing time, Victor likely stays. But Jones and Bailly you assume will leave. So we'd have Rapha, Licha and Victor for 2 spots.
GK - DDG is and has been a great servant but we need to modernize this position
RB - Think if AWB can continue to develop he is serviceable as a backup to Dalot and least need of the team

I think they might, given the discussions around Newcastle wanting him. Sounds like we entertained it but don't want to lessen our already thin depth and also strengthen Newcastle's.

Our bench against Arsenal had no striker at all :-( That for me is still priority no.1

2 strikers, Ronaldo and Cavani need replaced

2 midfielders backup for Bruno and to replace Ericsson in the first team.

RB AWB is probably leaving

CB young backup that has the right attributes to play the high line

RW if Anthony and Sancho don't start to show more promise at the end of the season

GK DDG is the least of my worries. But I do accept ETH likes a footballing keeper. Unfortunately I don't see one good enough who isn't already tied up by big clubs.

We need to shift on at least 1 of mcfred, 1 of Maguire or lindelof, AWB, tuenzebe, Jones & Bailly.

Our squad is far to thin in certain positions and the drop off for instance from Casemiro to McT is far too big.

If we sign the right players in the following three spots, we'll be challenging for titles:
  1. Striker
  2. Starting box-to-box midfielder
  3. Backup defensive midfielder

Poor form from us we cannot find a DM until end of the season anywhere at all

Agree with most of this to be honest, maybe try to fill out the squad with some free agent signings as well if possible.

Good list. Although I'd argue a new #1 keeper is higher priority, we saw yet again yesterday how much of a disadvantage it is to have a keeper that can't distribute worth a feck. It's just not sexy or "fun" to sign a keeper compared to a striker, but arguably just as important if looking at other top teams and how much they leveled up after improving that position.

It's a need but I think we're very capable of being successful with De Gea without spending big... Eventually yeah, but De Gea has improved enough on the ball that I don't feel it's much of an issue, but the biggest issue by far with him is his aerial ability (that punch yesterday  ). But our general defending is massively improved, and you can see the benefits of a proper DM (not McTominay) in our team play. Like we can try a punt on Robert Sanchez or David Raya or whoever, but ultimately I think we'll eventually just need to pay up for Diogo Costa who won't be cheap, so we can put that off.

Our production from our CF is the worst area of the pitch for us by far though, and that needs full focus. Other areas need help but are still good at the very least. Our midfield is good, missing a Frenkie or Enzo to be elite, but still good. Our goalkeeper is mid table, but our CF situation is probably relegation level.

Yeah definitely need backup DM,jeez only need to look at yesterday for proof of that
Whilst this is true, we were playing the best team in the league (hate to say it). The biggest priorities for me, are areas where the first team member isn't up to scratch or the back up is completely non-existent. DM for me isn't a top priority unless Casemiro gets a long term injury or Mctominay is sold.

McTominay should be sold for CDM

If we can get than Yan Sommer for free, that may reduce the need for spending on a GK. Though have to say, this isn't based on watching him play, more off hearsay that he's got a solid all-round game and pretty good distribution.

Could not agree more. Would be nice to also grab a front line rb, but with the right players coming in for striker, B2B midfielder and DM back up, we can definitely compete for the title.

Considering the ages of Varane and Cassemiro, I'd go after Kane and then start looking for someone younger a couple years thereafter. We won't have time to wait for someone to get up to speed with the PL.

Sounds like Kane is happy to stay at Spurs

Couldn't agree more but let's see if we actually do it. For all we know, there's a Fergue clause than a Scotsman must be in the team :D .

IF it wasn't a rival like Newcastle involved then think it may have been slight possibility. I find it so hard to believe we can't get a cheap backup somewhere to replace him.

He signed for Bayern already

CF - Oshimen and maybe someone like Evan Ferguson or another young striker.
CM - Enzo and Mcallister and maybe Caicedo.

United have been way too short in midfield and up front for a long time now. Midfield is so thin it’s crazy. With Shaw able to cover CB with Martinez and Varane should have enough cover there.

Fair. The truth is we are so desperately thin in certain areas that buying quality for ANY of the above positions would drastically improve the side. The worst part about the striker situation is that we are so weak there yet the market is thin as well at basically the worst time for us. It's either spend a truckload on Kane/Osimhen (both not perfect either), or scrounge around for some potential value without any real guarantees of production.

Quality starting XI...............

-----------------------De Gea---------------------
Dalot-----Varane---Martinez----Shaw
--------------------Casemiro-------------------
-------------Bruno--------???????------------
???????---------------------------Rashford
------------------????????---------------------

Antony has not settled. he may yet, but time will tell. Martial can just not stay fit and be relied upon :(. Eriksen would also be suited to a role player I believe. He just looks tired these days. Also not sure if we will re-sign De Gea or what, but I will assume he stays.

Now what quality subs do we have...........

----------------------Heaton----------------------
AWB-----Linderlof---??????---Malacia
------------------------Fred------------------------
-------------??????--------Erikksen----------
Antony---------------------------Garnacho
--------------------Martial----------------------

Now this still leaves Sancho and Amad to sort up front. Too much unpredictable there. Hope for the best but plan for the worst as they say.

So based on this a striker is mandatory. Then a RW is next. Followed by some CM reinforcemenmts.

Honestly the fact that we had a midweek game, had Casemiro suspended. Had 2/3 of our attacing options be anomynous and we almost drew yesterday. Give ETH whatever he wants!!

CF x2
CM x2
GK

upgrade those three positions in the summer or (if quality is available in this window) in January and we’ll be good.

All round central midfielder
Prolific Striker
Modern Goalkeeper

Then another good CM and 2 centre backs for squad depth.

I would say a quality midfielder to replace Eriksen who's not a natural fit, and McTom who is useless is the highest priority.

Striker after that is essential too.

I think if we got these areas sorted then our first team looks good.

After this, we don't need to urgently replace anyone but could definitely upgrade at RW, RB and GK. in an ideal world, a CDM for when Casemiro isn't available would be nice too.

Presume you mean cheap backup CF as the second option and backup CDM as the second option above. Unless you meant more of a rotation AM of course.

Not signing six in one window, also feel we need midfield/striker depth more than second CB but that's just my opinion

We must have a striker. Thats top priority. Second should be a CM.

If we can get that, we should look at our full backs

1. A striker
2. A alternative to eriksen who cant play every match.
3. A RB who can get the best out of anthony

Summer spending spree over.

Kane/Osimhen
Tielemans
Walker-Peters

You might want to swap no 2 for a top CM
