She was lucky enough to qualify for the final of an art competition in Belfast at the weekend and she's up against a few others
They had to paint a picture in 4 hours!!

Duffy is plastering it all over hers and others social media and her gallery etc - we are both canvassing hard for votes.
Dawns mate knows a guy that works in the local radio station - she is going on air tomorrow for an interview. Hopefully that will generate more votes
I have been designing a website for Dawn anyway as she is going out on her own - taking the plunge , going full time at this art gig. She is good in fairness.
I have temporarily published her website just now so if you would all like to look at it and give me feedback I would appreciate it.
Bear in mind its not quite finished as I have to do a few things behind the scenes on it.
If Dawn wins this it will do her the world of good from a launch publicity point of view.

That’s how I’d rank them as well. McKernon deserves more votes; his style and use of colour is excellent, though his composition is a bit flat.
Duffy’s composition is very good, or would have been if she hadn’t shoved Slenderman in, but her use of colour is pretty dull.
Murray’s big grass at the front is very striking, but the longer you look at it the more it overwhelms the background and buggers up the perspective.
I rather like Meredith’s; it’s clearly influenced by Henri “Douanier” Rousseau. Ridiculed in his lifetime; recognised as a genius after his death.
McGrath’s though is the clear winner: draughtsmanship, composition, perspective, colour all top class.
She will be delighted with that !
In fairness to all of them - it was 4 hours! Thats a tough ask for them - knowing how long it takes her to do a piece normally
