If it moves, report it.
You can tell from the statement, it's from Ineos camp. Very precise to 'taking the club where it belongs'
Clear the yank parasites are now back seat drivers. We still need them gone.

No idea who he was 30 minutes ago but seems a decent appointment and a clear indication of how INEOS are going to approach the football side of the club which is good news.
Don't know mate, the English language is quite hardSeen Ducker saying he won’t start “formally until the summer “
What does that actually mean?
I’m just happy it’s actually a football man that’s gotten the job haha. I’m not going to pretend I have a clue what he does at City or even what he will do with us, but getting a fella in with actual honest to god football experience is such a step up.More than decent. This is a statement.
“It is our stated ambition to re-establish Manchester United as a title-winning club. We are pleased that Omar will be joining us to help achieve that goal, so that, once again, United fans can see, in the words of Sir Matt Busby, the red flag flying high at the summit of English, European and world football.”
Apparently worked in the media department at Barcelona, and started in the commercial side of Man City before moving to the football side in 2020 only. Not gonna lie. Never heard of the guy. What will he bring?…

Strange that this place is so happy when the recurring complaint on the Caf was to get people with « proven track record » and not people from commercial background.
Yeah I suppose you and others are right and I've been thinking the same as the days gone on. Getting United back to the best and being at the club when it happens must be much more satisfying than anything City have done to be brutally honest.Don’t think he is jumping a sinking ship. Apparently he had offers in summer from Prem and foreign clubs for the same role he is taking at United but turned them down.
It could legitimately be a case of a promotion in role and United being too big to turn down.
Think of the challenge. One of the top 3 biggest clubs in the world. You get the chance to be a major force to reviving it on a football and commercial side. It’s a dream challenge for all highly motivated people. When you know you’re not working with unlimited funds that also makes the project more exciting because it tests your skills even more.
Hard to say in details as I just checked his Linkedin profile to be honest and he didn’t detail his missions. What did he do exactly in those roles?
His resume actually shows he’s not a football man.
Worked in media and commercial side of Barca and City for 17 years. He only became « Chief Footballing Officer » in 2020

You realise he's coming in as CEO not director of football?Apparently worked in the media department at Barcelona, and started in the commercial side of Man City before moving to the football side in 2020 only.

Yeah that’s fantastic experience for the CEO of a football club. Infinitely more football experience than either Woodward or Arnold had. By football man, we aren’t talking about ex-player or ex-manager or even a DOF, because he’s not coming in as a DOF. But someone actually involved in the football side of the business which this lad has been alongside his lengthy experience on the business side. His resume actually shows he’s not a football man.

Phoneshop?Omar goody goody gosh.
None, according to the times.Wonder how much involvement he had with the 115 charges
Hes a guy that has his fingers all over the place. Player transactions, partnership negotiations, startups, media officer. A bold octopus, if you will.I’m just happy it’s actually a football man that’s gotten the job haha. Razz Prince. Such an underrated and forgotten character.Phoneshop?
Smart move. Reduce the bald contingent at City while increasing our own. The reverse Samson.
